View Full Version : body hair plus stripping

I never shaved at all until I started dancing (age 20). It never bothered me so I never shaved it, and it didn't bother any of the guys I was with either. It wouldn't have occurred to me to shave. Maybe I just didn't have that much hair to begin with. I think there's a connection as to why I didn't shave. That was 14 years ago, before porn and stripping went really mainstream. No one I knew shaved.
Now I do the obvious areas, but I keep a patch. I can't go for that completely bald look. One of these days the styles will change again and women will go back to a fuller bush. Mark my words!!

^^^ I read somewhere that sociologists have noticed that the amount of pubic hair on women is directly related to the amount of hair that can be shown. And I tie this in with your post that I hope that more pubic hair means more nudity is acceptable. A few examples:
1. Nudists almost always have a full bush.
2. In Islam you must shave your pubes and they can't show anything in public.\
3. The Western world is somewhere in between. We aren't nudists but we don't wear burkas either. Some of us shave and some of us don't.
4. Also, in Canada, French-Canadians are much more open about nudity than the rest of us. I've noticed that the girls at my club who choose to sport some pubic hair are the French ones!

happygiggles - I don't mean to single you out but I noticed you are the only one in this thread who keeps their pubes and you are also the person who was the youngest when they arrived. Do you think this might have something to do with you being more comfortable with them? I was about 11 when I got pubes and so I clearly remember having a nice smooth pubic area without hair and when the hair came, it was kind of a shock. You must not have the same clear memories of being bald that the rest of us do?
Any comments? Thanks :)

Why was it a shock? I know I had read books about puberty before it happened. And my mom talked to me about it, plus sex ed in school. I was actually anxious to get pubic hair and to start my period. I guess I was ready for womanhood, lol.
Btw, I also said I keep some pubic hair. I'm going to assume that HG shaves the essentials, since she is a dancer.

i'm not surprised about the $1000K firecrotch. sometimes it's the one girl who's got something different that will be the one to make the most money. when i started dancing, i did the close trim, then i went to the hitler and stayed that way.
i think it just depends on the vag. i like mine w/a little patch, when it's all bald it looks like a plucked chicken. plus i think it looks weird when you see the distance from your belly-button to your pussy. for me, it shortens the space.

yeah. i think the age at which they began to grow has a lot to do with me being comfortable with them. but to cut off pubes just because you were used to the vagina being smooth is like cutting off your breasts cuz you were used to your chest being flat

i have a firecrotch. i like the way my vag looks better with the red hair on it, because it's different and special. i shave almost all of it away because of work but i leave at least a patch.
i've been an on and off shaver/trimmer/shaper since probably fifteen or sixteen. i have different preferences at different times, as do the guys i date, and i respect their opinions too. they're the ones that rub their faces in it!

ME TOO. Anyone remember that old book, "What's Happening to My Body? For Girls". I snuck peeks at it in the school library any chance I could get. They had a book "For Boys" too, and peeking at that was taboo. Of course, this was early elementary....but it's funny how clearly I remember it!!

To join in on the discussion I bought my first razor at at 14. I didn't use it often. As far as shaving my pubic area, I probably started that around 19. I started growing vaginal hair around 6-7 I believe.

I shaved my pubes almost immediately after starting my period...I was 13. I remember not knowing how to use tampons because my Mom only used OB's (without the aplicator) and I could NOT get them to go in right! So she had me using pads and needless to say I found that pubes and pads are not FRIENDS!!! Shaved that shit off!
Not long after I stayed over at a friends house, she used Tampax and so I tired using one of those! Low and behold it worked, and I havent look back at those nasty pads or pubes since!

And a plucked chicken... that is the perfect way to describe it. It's weird to think of my vagina as a chicken though...

I just wanted to add that that isn't true.
I said they have to shave their pubes and that they can't "show anything" in public. Which part are you saying is wrong? The first is true according to a number of hadith, for example:
Sahih Bukhari: Volume 7, Book 72, Number 777:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "Five practices are characteristics of the Fitra: circumcision, shaving the pubic region, clipping the nails and cutting the moustaches short."
If you are saying the "they can't show anything" is untrue, well yes, it was a bit of an extra. But there isn't much they can show!

don't mean to hijack here but i think the funniest thing was watchin my ex use that Accomodator toy on me for oral. it's the dick the guy straps on to his chin. when he put it on, i laughed so hard i couldn't even enjoy the benefits of it. even when i closed my eyes, i could still see him with that contraption on , lol. then i thought it would be funny to answer the door w/it for halloween--but that's just my whacked sense of humor. i'm sure the cops would have been at my door if i did, lol. ok, your reply brought back a memory, lol.:rotfl:

I used to cut my pubes w/ scissors long before i started shaving... and all of this well before stripping. There is simply something immensely satisfying about it snipping/shaving/biting nails/squeezing pimples... it's all the same category for me. I can't explain it. However, I would also love to let my hair grow out for a month. And then chop it again. Just for kicks. Not gonna happen, but it's a nice thought.

Maybe you were breastfed? I honestly think it's all the chemicals in the food these days that are making children develop so quickly. Now, there are eight and nine year olds who are starting theirs........
My eldest daughter was 8 when she started going thru puberty, She was breastfed for the first 13 months of her life. I think nature tend s to go on body weight and at what weight you could physically carry a child, which is why as a women if you go below a certain weight (about 7 stone) your periods stop or become irregular. This combined with all the hormones pumped into our food is one of the theories behind the early onset of puberty. (I watched a documentary on it a while ago so please dont quote for complete accuracy was basically the theory behind it.)
I personally was about 14 when I started shaving and 12w hen I got my period.
In relation to my daughters weight, she has always been very tall and at the moment looks about 14/15 she is actually 12!

I've always shaved mine. I have no clue what it'd look like for me to have them and don't plan on finding out.
I'm getting laser eventually, and my bf said the same thing about "what if you want them when you're older?!" ahah. Nope, don't think so.

I got my first bikini wax the same day I wound up losing my virginity (I hadn't been planning on it), so I guess I've been bare ever since I started having sex? I feel more confident without it, I guess.

This thread has me cracking up!
So my little sister and I are having lunch with our mom and her sister. They get to talking about this wax they saw for "Intimate moments" and are saying how much it would hurt if it got into their hair. (pubes)
So my sis and I look at each other and says "Who has hair anymore??" And she's not a stripper (the farthest thing from it actually!) and shaves totally.
I started shaving it all off when I was in my early twenties and had a girlfriend. My first girlfriend was totally shaved and I had never seen that before, but thought that was cooler n' shit so I did it too! Never looked back.

I shave the crease/leg area and the lips, but the mound stays.

I prefer well-maintained pubic hair to being bald. I do shave mine because of work and I've gotten used to it, I don't think it looks like a kid's at all.
I didn't mess with mine still I started working. I never really had much to begin with though.
Also, I screamed out loud when I saw that picture of the lady with the monster bush.

I agree, even for myself and I'm a guy. Nor can I stand hair on my chest.
The pube-free thing seems to be increasingly common as far as I can tell but I guess I'm not a good person to really know. It is just that a lot more woman and men seem to admit to me that they shave the pubes.

lol this thread is the funniest! 1000$ firecrotches, grey pubes, hitler munchin!
this shit needs to be compiled into a book
the topic-
i always trimmed, since they grew, at like 14, 15. i didn't shave until i got with this guy when i was 18, and he commented about them to my best friend at the time, she was all like, what! you don't shave?, i said i didn't really know how, and she explained to me how she pulled her kitty lips back and got at them with the razor. i was like ohhhhhh!
i never got with that mean asshole again, he went back to his girlfriend, who happened to be a stripper. i got back with my boyfriend (we had broken up) and he loved my shaved kitty and i do too! i love it when it is all smooth, and if you take real good care of it its not bumpy at all, just pretty. i also will rock a little line, not a hitler 'stach, but a little match stick shape.
I shave wether i've danced or not, but shaving so much for work i like to take shaving vacations, it keeps the skin better. but i have a boyfriend now, and i don't want to be hairy for him either, gross haha

Re: Joplin's Thread: "I'm getting laser eventually, and my bf said the same thing about "what if you want them when you're older?!" ahah. Nope, don't think so."
I've shaved since I was sixteen. While visting Tampa for my Sweet Sixteen road trip, I went skinny dipping with my older cousin and her friends. And, everyone was shaven but me, with this gi-normous bush. They sent my ass to the shower with a razor the next day. LOL!!! Funny now that I look back on it...
I just got laser hair removal and I love it. I asked my esthitician to leave a landing strip so, when I'm 80 I won't hav a completely naked panache in the nursing home. I can only imagine being the laughing stock of the nursing home.

I'm so glad I don't have to be an adolescent girl right now. Everyone expects tits to be fake, pussy to be bald, and women to enjoy the kind of sex that happens in shitty online porn.
I do not care for completely bald pussy, nor for the weird hatred of body hair in this culture. It's weird, you people! The only reason any of us shave in the first place is the profit motives of Gillette.
