^^^looks like i bought my bus ticket 10 years too late

For example, if I was in the top 5% of beautiful beautiful in the world, I would not complain that I am not pretty enough.

Life is just not fair and those who have it better than the rest should be appreciative IMO.

If you were in the top 5% of beautiful beautiful in the world you'd just be at the bottom of a whole new totem pole. How can you possibly know how you'd react?

Those who have it better than the rest according to whose standards? What's 'better'? Who are 'the rest'?

I'd be really fucking thrilled to make $400 on a day shift.

Then again, I would be pissed if I'd previously been making $800. Can't say that's happened though :(

I was just talking about this with some friends last night. We are all guilty of living a lifestyle we could permit for ourselves a year ago, but now it seems like we are living beyond our means.
You spend what you earn, and when you earn less you really have to adjust. I know that this isn't the responsible way to live, but try reading Rich Dad Poor Dad, it explains this theory and is also a good informative read.
While I wouldn't be mad at $300, I can see how someone who is accustomed to living a $1000/night salary would really be suffering for the reason I stated above.

^^^Thanks Cassandra, very true! (Though I don't agree w/ Kiyosaki's real estate luv)

$300 a night is ok if your rent is $300-800... if your rent is $1800 it can get hard to focus.

I agree with you New Moon. Times have been tough this summer, and I was really letting it get to me. But then I took some time to think about how many jobs I had where I made minimum wage (I started around the same age as you) and how incredibly difficult it was. Many of my friends still make really poor wages and live in tiny little studio apartments. My life is pretty good, especially compared to most of the world. Maybe we should all just be grateful to live in first world nations.

Just wanted to also remind everyone that "we" strippers in most cases have gone through quite a bit of improvements--ones that hurt ie: breast implant surgery, lipo, facial improvements to do well at our job, we can't possibly be compared to waitresses and other minimum wage jobs because of the things we had to go through or along the way to be "expecting" a certain amount of earnings yearly/nightly whatever.

^ Those are not mandatory things required for stripping though. I see many girls who bank without fake boobs or lipo or facial improvements. While they will probably raise income, that isn't always the case.

i'm not happy with $300 either. i dont work a day shift, if that makes a difference to you. i don't think that makes me ungrateful. ungrateful for.. what, exactly? the money that i make off PLs? i take my clothes off, i am touched by weirdos, and i spread my legs for this money. i give myself a pretty high value.

QFT!

I don't care about what anyone else in any other job or life situation earns. All that matters to me is whether or not I'm getting what I feel I'm worth at work. And that's a lot more than $300.
