Uhh... Normally I am all in favor of alternative medical theories, but acting as if AIDS is not sexually transmitted if it is has the potential to kill a lot of people. (Whereas, acting as if AIDS is sexually transmitted if it isn't is harmless.) So there is a VERY strong reason to believe or at least accept, and act on, the dominant theory about HIV.

There is no 100% hard evidence that AIDS is sexually transmitted.

There isn't even real proof/evidence that HIV causes AIDS.
Even the tests ppl take and diagnosis fits what the people higher up want rather than what truly is.
They can't even separate the damn virus

Yeah, a lot of people who have "AIDS" and die is because its actually the medicine that causes it.

But thats ok, believe what you are told to believe by the ppl making millions off of innocent victims.

Uh, ask anyone in the gay community over 45 about that. The people with AIDS in that community were dying like *flies* before AZT came in, and now are not.

Say what you like, but research primary sources for chrissakes.

And use protection. Regardless of what you believe about HIV, there are a lot of STDs out there that you just as well don't want.

And, again: You lose NOTHING by using protection when you don't need to. You lose EVERYTHING by not using it when you do need to.

Who are you to say I havent researched?

AND what you are considering primary resources don't even give you true and complete facts.

There are other alternative to AZT. AZT is toxic to people. How many people have been cured from AZT? None. AZT is a chem kind of drug. AIDS is not cancers. People are being told to take medicine that is made for something else while being told that this drug will help their situation. Do you know how much money they are making off of these people suffering and dying just because they are to cocky to admit their mistakes about AIDS.

I'm anxious to hear how MaryAlice is doing, and how the talks with the agency went, ect.
I'll watch the AIDS video later. If it's as logical, yet contradictory as it sounds,I'll want to give it my full attention.

In the meantime, you said it..continue to use protection, cuz it's not just AIDS you have to fear.

Wow - I can't believe people actually believe HIV is not sexually transmitted. Tell that to the gay community. Matter of fact, tell that to my cousin who is developing AIDS very quickly. He's not on AZT.

I know you mean well, Pookie, but if you're not citing real references for these claims, you sound like an idiot.

I dont sound like an idiot. You are perfectly capable of stating an opinion without being rude, so how about you try that. Smart people question things.

I never said people shouldn't be treated for AIDS. I just said AZT is bad. And cause of AIDS is questionable and should be questioned, especially how to diagnose it. The people who are diagnosed with it are treated unfairly. Its easy to tell a person the have HIV/AIDS with these tests. Those tests don't look for the AIDS virus the look at something else. There needs to be a better test. Some people who have nothing wrong with them can easily be told they have aids by a fucked up test.

Tell your agent. Don't say who is working for them with HIV, just tell the agent, and he/she will likely pass the info on to the girls. I know I would in that situation.

The agent already talks to everyone every week. So this would be the easiest route to keeping everyone safe and healthy, without hurting the feelings or privacy of the girl that is HIV+.

I think this is the best option. The agent should require everyone working for him/her to put safety measures in place. You know for sure that this girl is HIV+, but it's possible she's not the only one. You could say, "It's illegal for me to disclose anyone else's HIV status, but I know that one of our dancers is positive and I'd like to know what you're doing to ensure the safety of other dancers and our customers."

In general, I don't think you should identify the girl to the agent because she might just fire her, which would be unfair. However, the fact that she's doing extras changes the game, in which case, maybe it's not so important to worry about this ho keeping her job. In this line of work, in this particular situation, it becomes a question of the lesser of two illegals/evils.

If you like the girl, then another way to go about this would be to confront her privately and tell her your concerns...though I imagine she already knows she should be safer.

I got really into this a few months back and did a bit of research. Yes, all of this is controversial but I think what Pookie and I are both saying is that there are a lot of problems with HIV/AIDS as it is sold to us and they deserve a good look, not a blind eye.

For example...

All tests used to diagnose HIV are scientifically unvalidated. An AIDS reappraisal organization called Alive and Well has a standing reward for $25,000 cash to any individual who can locate a study proving the missing scientific proof that HIV tests are valid (http://www.aliveandwell.org/html/award.html). As pointed out by a scientist in AIDS, Inc., this situation—in which no scientist will come forward to and take credit for this—is unheard of in a profession where such credit would validate ones entire career. Likewise, there is no hard scientific data regarding the specificity of HIV tests—basically meaning the rate at which false positives occur.

No test has ever detected HIV itself. The two most commonly used tests (Western Blot and ELISA) detect only anti-bodies. In fact, the virus itself has NEVER been found in a human being.

Diagnosis of HIV/AIDS in Africa does not require a laboratory test—only the presence of four clinical symptoms: fever, involuntary loss of 10% of normal body weight, persistent cough, and diarrhea. These same symptoms have plagued peoples of the developing world for generations.Africans are dying of the same things they’ve been dying of for generations—a multitude of circumstances, but specifically poor sanitation, limited access to clean drinking water, malnutrition, malaria, tuberculosis, and parasitic infections.

Why would they purposefully misdiagnose? Follow the money trail.

To date, the United States government has dedicated $48.3 billion to AIDS in 15 focus countries in sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean through the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). This includes retroviral treatment for 1.36 million people living with AIDS in those countries.

Then they go on AZT and the downward spiral is set because:

“It was often difficult to distinguish adverse events possibly associated with administration of RETROVIR® (AZT™) from underlying signs of HIV disease or intercurrent illnesses” --Retrovir product monograph. GlaxoSmithKline. 2005 Sep 21

I agree! It astounds me how many people just plain forget about HIV/AIDS shit in the 90's that's all you heard about. Every single movie and song had some moral lesson about condom usage.
I'm personally always shocked at how easily younger women forgo condoms, and the constant excuses to not use them. It's like after they've been dating a guy for 3 months and can "trust" him they forget every safe sex pamphlet they must have had to read in high school. It's like a return to the naive 80s - "it'll be fine just this once/twice/with this guy/he looks clean".

Mary Alice - I don't blame you for being concerned, but in the capacity of your day job you must realize that it is very damaging to just "out" someone like that. I would avoid names and protect her privacy; truly, anyone else you work with could be infected without your knowledge. Simply excluding her will not solve the problem if there is a consistent unsafe work environment.

Meh. I just read your update. I don't think you handled that ideally and I don't think many courts would distinguish between what you did and saying "yes, I know your show partner has HIV". Like a meaningful look and omission after a leading conversation - just because it is not conveniently recordable doesn't mean that a sensible person doesn't realize that you are communicating. I cannot figure out for the life of me why you would not just stress the important of safety with all partners and stress the importance of getting tested since she has had unsafe sex. Again - it's not like this woman is the only woman in the world with HIV.

honestly, my step mother is a chaplain at a hospice for those terminally ill with HIV. I'm horrified that people would suggest that AIDS/HIV are a myth, and that those viruses are not sexually transmitted! Beyond that I have two good friends that have HIV. Trust me....its not a 'conspiracy"

OMG PEOPLE WAKE UP!!
