1. Say what you want about failed administrations, it as after all a Dem talking point, but there have been no attacks on American soil since 9/11, and that is no small feat.
2. Where is she going to re-write the Constitution?
3. Are you trying to tell me Obama is goping to better provide for my safety?
4. You are right, they won't appoint better justices, they'll nominate better justices, but you know what I meant. As far as legislating from the bench is concerned, that's what the liberal judges do.
5. The energy law recently passed makes it nearly impossible to drill for oil by creating new layers of red tape and forcing the oil compnies to go through the states to get approvals. Getting off fossil fuels is a good idea, but right now, that's what we've got. I know it will take a few years ( not 10 ) to see any oil, but had we gone in a decade ago when Clinton vetoed it, we wouldn't have the energy mess of today.
Joe Biden just sent his son to Iraq.....Stop trying to imply Democrats don't care about terrorism. I'm willing to bet they would at least invade the right country! Barack Obama was RIGHT and John McCain was WRONG about Iraq and that is FACT.
You are in denial if you think America is safer simply because we have had no terrorists attacks since 9/11. We have more enemies now.
........but hell....America's own home grown terrorists like Timothy McVeigh were Republican whackjobs.

I have taken a good look at Obama and he strikes me as a cluelese empty suit who has neither the experience nor the savvy for the job. I challenge you to tell me why I am wrong. I cannot think of a single solitary reason why anyone would vote for him.
Abortions will remain safe and legal if Obama is elected. People who make less than $250,000 a year will get tax cuts. People who get health benefits from their employer will not be taxed on them. First off, SG, I never said I thought that McCain and Palin were the answers to America's problems.
In my eyes, they have 4 main things going for them:
1. They are not Obama.
2. They will be stronger on national security.
3. They'll appoint better SCJ's.
4. Better on energy.
I have taken a good look at Obama and he strikes me as a cluelese empty suit who has neither the experience nor the savvy for the job. I challenge you to tell me why I am wrong. I cannot think of a single solitary reason why anyone would vote for him.
My vote for McCain is nothing more than a thinly-veiled vote against Obama.

Speaking of slipping....I think the whole Republican Party is starting to slip slide away.
http://images.politico.com/global/v3/homelogo.gif (http://www.politico.com/)GOP dread: Dems could hit 60 Senate seats
By: Jim VandeHei and Mike Allen
October 4, 2008 11:01 PM EST
The possibility that Democrats will build a muscular, 60-seat Senate majority is looking increasing plausible, with new polls showing a powerful surge for the party’s candidates in Minnesota, Kentucky and other states.
A poll out Friday shows Sen. Norm Coleman could now easily lose his Minnesota seat to comedian-turned-candidate Al Franken. A Colorado race that initially looked like a nail-biter has now broken decisively for the Democrats. A top official in the McCain camp told us Sen. Elizabeth Dole is virtually certain to lose in conservative North Carolina.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky has seen his race tighten dangerously close over the past week — and Democrats are considering moving more money into the state very soon. And there is even talk that Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss is beatable in conservative Georgia after backing the economic bailout package opposed by many voters.
“Before the economic crisis, we had a number of races moving our way,” said Matthew Miller, communications director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. “But now we’re seeing Republican numbers plummet.” GOP officials largely agree.
Senate races don’t grab national attention like the White House battle does. But if these trends hold, the Senate outcome could be almost as important to Washington governance as the presidential winner will be. It takes 60 votes to pass anything through the slow-moving Senate. So the closer the Democrats get to the number, the more power they will have next year to put their stamp on the country.
Democrats say their candidates are benefiting from the wipeout on Wall Street with a single message in every region of the country: “These are the Bush policies coming home to roost.” Senator Charles E. Schumer of New York, chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, told Politico: “Americans know that in economically difficult times, we need a change from George Bush’s policies. And incumbents who have voted for six years with Bush, up and down the line, are having a difficult time trying to convince the electorate that they’ve changed their spots."
The trends reflect the growing fear of among top Republicans that their prospects could crater on Nov. 4, with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) running weakly at the top of the ticket, President Bush as unpopular as ever and the economic crisis serving as a last-minute propellant for the change message of Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).
With Republicans fearing the loss of 17 to 21 House seats, January 2009 could bring Democrats a dominance over Washington that neither party has experienced since the Reagan years.
The current Senate lineup is 49 Democrats, 49 Republicans and two independents who caucus with Democrats.
Democrats need to pick up nine seats to hit 60 votes. Republicans have been bracing for big losses, but it wasn’t until the past few days that they have started to privately sound the alarms that the bottom could fall out on Election Day.
GOP Senate candidates are getting pounded by the same waves of public discontent over the economy and Bush that could sink McCain, and it shows in polls from coast to coast.
Republicans fully expect to lose Virginia and New Mexico. They think there is a pretty strong chance that they also lose Colorado, Alaska, New Hampshire, Oregon and North Carolina.
This means everyone should keep their eyes on Minnesota, Kentucky, Mississippi and Georgia over the final month of this campaign to see if a wave is coming.
Several Republican strategists close to the White House said there is increasing fear among party leaders about a bloodbath. But they added that they hope to keep losses to as few as five or six seats, rather than the nine that Democrats would need to gain to reach the magic number of 60 seats.
These strategists hope the Minnesota poll out Saturday overstates Franken’s strength, because it was taken at the height of turmoil over the bailout bill that Bush finally signed Friday.
“It reflects a lot of intense unhappiness that will fade as the market restores some equilibrium,” a Republican official said.
But that same timing is very dangerous for Sen. Gordon Smith (R-Ore.), because his state has mail voting with a heavy early vote, meaning he has less time to recover from angst about the Wall Street wipeout.
Republicans say they have become more optimistic in recent days about Sen. John Sununu (R-N.H.), who had been considered one of the party's most endangered incumbents.
Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) will certainly lose if he is convicted in a corruption trial now under way in Washington but will probably win if he is acquitted, the strategists said.
Top Republicans say they have no hope for Dole in North Carolina. “There’s no point in even counting the votes,” said a top McCain official.
Republicans said they hope to make up for one loss by persuading Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn.) to caucus with them. He has campaigned vigorously for McCain, and Democratic Party leaders have vowed to punish him.
One indication of the Republicans’ mood: They’re already looking past this grim election season.
“2010 looks pretty good for us to pick up three or four or five seats pretty easily,” the McCain official said.

There were no attacks between Pearl Harbour and 9/11 either, which makes me think it is a smaller feat than she thinks.
I have reason to believe the Bush administration had involvement in the attacks anyway. The way those towers collapsed was inconsistent with a plane crash alone, unless the laws of physics have become redundant.

Actually, there has been numerous attacks on the US by foreign and domestic sources. Just none quite as spectacular as the two you mentioned.
Probably one of the most famous is the World Trade Center bombing, or possibly the Oklahoma city federal building bombing. There was also the Hostage crisis in 1979 with Iran. Those are the big ones that come to mind, but I'm sure there were others as well.

Perhaps I got it wrong, but the fact remains that in any given six year period, America tends not to suffer foreign terrorist attacks, regardless of who's in the White House. Attacking America is often (rightly) seen as a pretty stupid thing to do, given the likelihood of massive retaliation.

1) bem, I will come over right now and for $1,000,000 I will give you a spray that keep lions away. You may say, well G, there are no lions in MA or RI. Which is exactly why my spray works. Your argument holds no water.
Thats like saying, well under Clinton there was a terrorist attack, well there was one under Dubya.
2) During the debate Palin said that she would like to have more legislative power, and that the office of the VP is part of the legislative branch, not the executive.
3) lets use MA and CA judges for the right for Gays/Lesbians to wed. The argument was that is illegal for each state to with-hold that right because there is nothing written in the constitution that defines marriage. Therefore gays and lesbians must have the right to the choice.
really, if you start arguing about this, then we can go back to civil rights, women's rights and start asking judges to take away those rights.
4) Honestly this oil issue is done because of the speculators, not because of lack of oil. The markets expected oil demand to increse 2% this year....Thats right, 2%. yet prices have gone up 100%......you can't tell me there isn't another issue overall at work here.
1. There were more attacks under Clinton, a couple of embassies and a boat if I remember correctly, plus he was at least as responsible for 9/11 as Dubya, who I'm really no great fan of BTW.
3. the judges in CA overturned the will of the voters and legalized the gay marriages. That's called legislating from the bench. If the people had voted for them and the judges overturned them, the libs would be going berserk.

You asked for reasons why anyone would vote for Obama, not you. Most Americans are in favor of keeping abortions safe and legal, at least in the first trimester. Most Americans will get tax cuts under Obama's plan. Biden has man years of experience in dealing with issues the VP would deal with. Palin's entire experience is, "she can see Russia from her house".

There have been attacks on American embassies during the Bush Administration, as recently as last month.
http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/topstories/10-killed-in-terrorist-attack.4500081.jp
Bush was much more responsible for 9/11 than Clinton. He was in office for eight months before the attack. He had plenty of time to do something, but didn't. He was even warned that Bin Ladin was planning an attack on the US a month before, but he chose to do nothing. He didn't want his vacation interrupted.
3. the judges in CA overturned the will of the voters and legalized the gay marriages. That's called legislating from the bench. If the people had voted for them and the judges overturned them, the libs would be going berserk.
State constitutions and the Federal Constitution take precedence over an laws voted on by the people or legislatures. It is the responsibility of judges to ensure that any state laws passed do not violation the state or federal Constitution.
In November California voters will have a chance to vote on whether or not the state constitution should be changed to ban gay marriage.
Conservatives are very much in favor of judges overturning laws passed by the people, when they don't like that law. Conservatives tried to get judges to "legislated from the bench" and overturn the law that voters passed in California, to provide state funding for embryonic stem cell research. Fortunately, the courts upheld the law and the state of California is now the largest source of funding for embryonic stem cell research in the world.

Don't be misled. Here are the real facts about Prop 8.
Proponents of Prop 8 make many misleading assertions in their new television ad. Here’s what’s fiction and what’s fact:
Fiction vs. the Facts
Fiction: People can be sued over personal beliefs.
Fact: California’s laws already prohibit discrimination against anyone based on race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. This has nothing to do with marriage.
Fiction: Churches could lose their tax-exemption status.
Fact: Nothing in Prop 8 would force churches to do anything. In fact, the court decision regarding marriage specifically says “no religion will be required to change its religious policies or practices with regard to same-sex couples, and no religious officiant will be required to solemnize a marriage in contravention of his or her religious beliefs.”
Fiction: Same-sex marriage would be taught in public schools.
Fact: Not one word in Prop 8 mentions education, and no child can be forced, against the will of their parents, to be taught anything about health and family issues at school. California law prohibits it. A Sacramento Superior Court judge has already ruled that this claim by the proponents of Prop 8 is “false and misleading.” In fact, the “case” that is cited in the ad is from Massachusetts…the proponents knew what California law said, so they used another state, again to mislead voters.
Fiction: Four Activist Judges in San Francisco…
Fact: Prop 8 is not about courts and judges, it’s about eliminating a fundamental right. Proponents of Prop 8 use an outdated and stale argument that we’ve already voted on this, that judges should not protect rights and freedoms, and that somehow what happened in the past should be the guide to our future. This campaign is not about what happened nearly nine years ago. This campaign is about whether Californians, right now, in 2008 are willing to eliminate a fundamental right for one group of citizens.
Regardless of how you feel about the issue, we should not eliminate fundamental rights for ANY Californians. Please vote NO on Prop 8.

Are you even a stripper? Have you ever even posted anything about the industry? Most of the male posters in this thread have. Did you really just join a stripper board to argue politics?
Where's your respect for this community? How are you industry related?
One more thing...CONSIDERING YOU HAVE A RAPE REFERENCE IN YOUR SIGNATURE....don't go after a female about how much personal info she will put on a message board....OK!!!!!!!!!

WOw.....are Bem and FBR strippers? Jester?
Shall I tell you the names of the strip club owners I know or describe in detail the clubs???
Sling a little mud at yourself!
You are being criticized for ( supposedly ) being a stripper on a board for strippers who doesn't post about stripping. All the male members you mentioned and others post all over the Board.

Most of my 6000+ posts were in the my first 3 years of membership. But during this past year or two I have been much more reserved in my postings. But I have to say you do inspire me to post. Thank you!
FBR
What's the deal with all the Rape References in peoples signatures? What's the deal with how men here act...including male moderators?
What is this board about and how do they treat people....since YOU think I only look at political threads.

How do you and FBR know what I post about do you look all my posts up? Because I think you do and that is CREEPY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be an ADULT an take my posts for what they are....and stop looking for what is not there....ITS CREEPY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did scan your posts prior to mine to see if Dangerous Diva was right and it turns out she is.
The mere fact you had to ask about the rape siggies shows you barely leave MB.

LOL...OK...Her rape signature is HARD TO MISS...They are a little OBVIOUS!
Thanks for admitting the males here look up females posts...
and you are right, with some of the stuff posted on the board lately from rape to men....I have zero desire to put anything personal on it.
The most HILARIOUS thing....YOU WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH MY POSTING HABITS IF I WAS AGREEING WITH YOU.
If you can't win a debate someone is interested....I just happen to like politics....get desperate and sling mud like Bem and FBR....weak weak weak..

Once again, FBR and I have never resorted to mudslinging, name-calling, or taunting. Others, including yourself , have. It's simply not worth it for us to stoop to that level.
As far as your posting habits are concerned, I have no problem with you posting exclusively in MB, though I find it a bit odd. I wouldn't understand it any better if you were agreeing me.
Actually, I assumed you posted elsewhere until DD pointed out that you didn't. I guess I'll have to do without your tidbits of wisdom in areas other than politics.

There mere fact someone is bothered by posting habits on the internet is laughable.
The mere fact DD, YOU, or FBR could not PM and ask me privately why I post where I do if you have an issue is PATHETIC.
Your intentions are a little obvious~
My mistake...I did not know stripperweb had rules and regulations as to where females in the industry, past, present or whatever could post based on their comfort level.

You are being criticized for ( supposedly ) being a stripper on a board for strippers who doesn't post about stripping. All the male members you mentioned and others post all over the Board.
More specifically, they post things on topics that are actually pertinent to the primary purpose of these boards.
What's the deal with all the Rape References in peoples signatures? What's the deal with how men here act...including male moderators?
What is this board about and how do they treat people....since YOU think I only look at political threads.
All that's gone on in the last three weeks around here and you have to ask this?
Do you even peer at anything on these boards that isn't related to politics. I mean, you've been here nine months.
WOw.....are Bem and FBR strippers? Jester?
They patronize strip clubs, hence they are industry related.
Shall I tell you the names of the strip club owners I know or describe in detail the clubs???
How about you show us a few of the 93 posts your posts count says you have. Do you really think you've posted on these boards only 93 times, considering you have 20 replies in this thread, all of them since Thursday.
Note: Posts in the MB's do not add to your count, just so you're aware of something around here that doesn't have "Obama" or "Palin" or "Republican" in the title.
The most HILARIOUS thing....YOU WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH MY POSTING HABITS IF I WAS AGREEING WITH YOU.
Your viewpoint is not the problem here. We have plenty of liberals here who can maturely debate without sounding like a six year old who just got her candy taken away. Your childish behavior in interacting with those who don't agree with you is the problem. Behavior that would get you pointed, possibly banned outside the MB's. Perhaps that's why you only have 93 posts outside this section.
And no, you're not the only guilty party, but you're down and out the worst. Even good ol' Tigerlilly spoke more maturely than you, and that's saying a lot.
