Maybe it's a Jewish thing?
Nope, I'd be back too, and I'm not Jewish (though I have some Jew in me, *rimshot*). I always want to take the night off after a shitty night!

^^^jaizaine, do you have a VIP or champagne room at your club?

^^
No. We just sell either table dances for $20 or privates for $50 for 10 mins.
My club recently introduced a VIP area for $400 for an hour but I dont think anyone has used it yet. It's not really what customers around this area go in for.

Wow, so it was all seling $20 and $50 dances?? That is amazing and gives hope for my non-champagne room club. Do you mind if I ask how long your shift was?

I cant remember exactly but it was a saturday so between 8 and 10 hours which is standard for me. It was also in summer which is our best time of year.
I didn't just sell $20s and $50s. It was one of those nights where everyone who got a dance spent at least $100. It was one of those awesome nights were u dont leave the dance room.

Well, I feel pretty silly right now. I could have worked Friday and Saturday, and I still would have had Sunday and Monday home with the boyfriend. I can't work until Thursday! I'm looking at all the money I need to make for tuition, next semester's books, winter vacation, Christmas gifts, so I can take time off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. I just went into my spreadsheet that I track my earnings, schedule, bills, deductibles, and financial goals and I am frightened at how few days I can work until 2008 is over :( I learned my lesson - when in doubt, work!

I get back to work to make more as I will be on a high from earning great money.
Since this has happened a few times in my strip club dancing career past.. I can honestly say that is exactly what I chose to do.
Unless I knew for sure it was going to be a dead ass day like 1st Jan eve. New Years Eve I banked (and have done so a few other NYEs) however I can guarantee you that 1st Jan night is dead dead dead thus to be avoided at all costs.
Things pick up a few days later after the 'hang over' has passed as such ;)

Shit... who's done a 5k night?
I've gotten 3k but 5k? I'm not sure it's possible. For most clubs around here that's 300 songs!! :O

I'm still looking forward to my first 1K night. I only work 4-5 hour shifts though, so I'll have to step it up to hit that! I've hit $750, but not yet 1K. If I could just stay LONGER, I think I could. *sigh* My back kills after the 4 hr mark.
You ladies that do 8-11 hour shifts...wow! That's gotta be tough. I would need some serious R&R after that.

each one is milestone. I remember my first $1k night and my co-worker said "now you can look forward to $2k" at the time I thought YEAH RIGHT but it happened also. It'll happen ;)
I often do 10 hour shifts!! it's hard on the body and mind for sure.
