uggghhh me too. when I think back to spending 4 gs each semester just to live in a small room... i get angry.
I remember I opted for a single room because I didn't want a room mate. While not having a room mate was nice, it was like living in a closet. I paid close to 500/mo for that tiny room. Guess how much my first apartment was? 600, and it was over 10 times bigger than my dorm room. FUCK that!

My brother was ignoring my advice and trying to get into the dorms, but he got screwed over and got the St Paul campus dorm, so he opted for an apartment with his friends. He's saving a hell of a lot of money, this way.

SexKitten, $7500 including books is insanely effing cheap! Holy crap... Consider yourself lucky if that's all you have to pay. The school from which I graduated runs around $32K a year for on-campus students.
Damn. Did you pay all that yourself, or did you get financial aid?

Oh, I'm still paying. haha. That's why two bachelors and still dancing. Hopefully, most of law school will be paid for. You should be able to get most of your grad school paid for more easily as well. There's much better funding and because schools take way fewer grad students, the chances of getting financial aid can be higher, depending on the competitiveness of your particular program.

I'm in grad school but I started in undergrad. I presently working on my Thesis. Most of my peers don't know I dance. I'm sure glad I started to help me pay for school because the economy is bad.

I'm getting a scholarship to pay for my school, but I'm taking a drastic pay cut to be in school full time. My stipens and all that jazz wont just cover what I need it to... so my love mentioned stripping. I'm going to give it a serious go for a few months (6 or so) to see how it pans out.

I danced my way through my associates, bachelors, and masters ...
been there done that ...
It isnt that bad. Just try not to get early classes, anything after noon is acceptable depending on how late your club closes. I am not going to say that I never went to class in a robe though .. no shower, slippers ... Sorry, I had a busy night and I was tired and late for class.
You have to have enough self motivation to pull your butt out of bed and go to school no matter how tired you are.

ps, i danced and went to school full time, so very busy girl, eventually I started going to online school

Online school sounds like an awesome idea if your major offers them!

I second the advice to avoid early morning classes. They will be the death of you!

What is your major? I'm also working on my thesis as a sociology major and I think that it makes a difference. The social sciences tend to be much more tolerant of alternative lifestyles since that is what they study. Hell, you could even get credit for dancing and writing about it. If anyone has any interest check out Danielle Egan, she is a sociologist who danced and has published several articles on the topic.

My major is film and media arts (would like to maybe be a director or computer animator in the film industry) with a double in computer programming

I'm an Asian Languages and English Lit double major. There aren't any remote classes I can take.

However, once I finish these two majors I plan on building a major on the Sex industry using Anthropology, Business, Psychology, and Gender Studies. I also want to get some sort of degree having to do with financial planning. I'm going to be in school for a long, long time.

Thanks, girls. I'm going to check these out as well. I think they could give me some guidelines for my self-built major.

I'm in the last year of a bsc in computing science at the moment. I did my third year twice. The first time I was working in a call centre 3 nights a week and ended up leaving half way through the year as I couldn't cope. Sat one set of exams and was getting C's and D's.
Then I moved out to a shared flat, started dancing 2 nights a week and left the second time round with 6 A's and 3 B's.
Thats not to say I don't struggle. TBH I'm hanging on by a thread at the moment, just want to go to bed and not get up. But you do find the strength to keep going if its what you really want to do.
The key is to prioritise and manage your time well. Try to get coursework done early on to avoid a last minute dash you can't handle.
