This is what I've hated the most about dancing. Not sweat-pants boner man, not frat boys throwing change on stage, not even the dreaded octopus man or drunk "I need attention!" girls. But hurting guys.

At most, hope for a friendship. I have made a few of those, and those guys do mean a lot to me. But, yeah...

I never could find a follow up on the story. The likely result though is that the only winners were the lawyers.

The guy has made it obvious she doesn't like him and is basically just leading him on for money. That's not love. If she liked him, he would know by now.

Rule #1: The strippers do not love you.

Well then yeah I agree with you...if she has made her true intentions clear then I think the answer is obvious.

We have this guy. He started going to strip clubs when he was 19. He is now 35 and has fallen in love with one or two dancers per year, every year. It NEVER works out. You'd think he would get it... he doesn't. I was his girl three years ago. When he gave up, I trained the next girl on how to get the most money out of him before he moved on. He needs to come to his senses... but he never will. It's pretty pathetic.i

I know one of these. he started at 21 and he's now almost 50!
he also falls in love with waitresses.
i've known him a long time. i used to feel sorry for him but i think he enjoys the ups and downs without the long term commitment. he makes good money has no bills to speak of, no aging wife or kids. just fun times with young strippers and waitresses.

Um, how bout we stop insulting every customer that posts on this board? y'all do realize that these are the people we make a living off of right?

I'm not talking about rude customers, but we shouldn't be attacking people for going to strippers, liking them, and giving them money.

I can garuntee you this post could have been written by ANY of our regulars, this guy is totally average and normal in the land of the strip club. I'd prefer not to humuliate and demene the people who pay my rent, y'all

Very true. I've had a couple of guys "fall" for me and I do not provide anything more emotionally charged than a listening ear and willingness to engage in their fantasies. It perplexed me when they started showing signs of serious emotion, confused me even more when they got hurt that I didn't "love" them back, and to this day I'm not sure how much of it was real and how much was BS on their part. The whole sad/hurt/disillusioned thing frustrates me, frankly, even though I'm sure that's callous of me. I mean, they are paying me money to be there and be nice to them. I perform as required. And then suddenly the whole thing derails and heads for another dimension, and I'm the big bad bitch because I don't jump right on for the ride? Ugh.

Hey sister don't you "get it"? Your a STRIPPER! It's ALWAYS your fault!!!;D
These are just the coolest, most sensitive guys ON THE PLANET and you go to work just to mess with them.

^^^Um. No. That's a really strange idea. Just cut off all contact, if you want to stop seeing her. Distract yourself when you start thinking about her again - any kind of hobby is good. Even going to a different club where she won't be might work.

ETA: Directed at grindonme's post.

::) He has already said he knows he needs to stop seeing her but can't bring himself to do it so the only way for the thing they have to end is for the stripper to end and she's not gonna do that until he makes it uncomfortable for her to be around him.

Think it was Lenin who walked into a party meeting and said " For one whole minute, I want you all not think of a polar bear at the equator".

moll_flanders
09-09-2008, 01:53 AM
^^^Gah. I don't get it. I've been staring at this sentence for like three minutes. Lol! Feeling a little bit dense. Is the humor in the fact that Lenin is telling them not to think about something they never would have thought about anyway? Or is it because they would never have imagined it by themselves - but now that he's told them not to think about it, all they can envision is a big white polar bear barreling along through the desert?

To the OP: I think almost everyone's been here at some point. Maybe not with an ATF, but with someone who we love, who doesn't love us back, and we know we need to move on but it feels like physically ripping something away. Gotta just do it.

99balooons: Lol yup. I'll try to remember that in the future.

09-09-2008, 02:18 AM
Ah. Thanks. Nah... not so much make yourself not think about it, as force yourself to do things that will take up time and energy so that you are less likely to think about it. Kind of like how your friends would drag you out to have some fun if you had just broken up with your girlfriend.

Just to clarify, I've been too enough strip clubs in my day to recognize her hustle when I saw it but it was all part of the fun. In fact, she has stopped most of the SS as I would kind of call her on it. Anyway, I have no regrets with regard to the money as I never blew more money than I intended and I was having fun. I simply grew more attached to the girl than I intended. If that makes me a "PL", "moron", .etc. so be it.

no...that doesnt.....

but this does:
"What do you do when you realize you've fallen in love with your ATF?"

and this:
"F. Wait for the day she will realize I'm the one for her. In the meantime, keep the money flowin' (might be the same as A.)"....lol...this actually makes you a BIG one

here is another:
"E. change my cell phone # so she wil stop f*cking with my head"

and just the general idea that you are PAYING someone to spend time and be nice to you....and you have "FALLEN" for her.......I think that pretty much defines PL...

How about we take up a collection and have ViolaStrings punch you in the sack......(I bet it wouldnt take much)

You ever heard of sarcasm....guess not. Also, I think i did mention that we hung out outside the club and if i saw her in the club of course I'll pay for her time because she was WORKING. We don't all hate custies. I happen to like men a hell of a lot and so do many dancers. We just aren't going to lie to you and tell you this girl is probably going to fall for you, when we know that isn't likely.

I hate to see a customer quit going to clubs just because he sees past the illusion. Really though, my hubby never goes to clubs because of the insiders perspective he has.

I like most of the clientele at work. They're mostly educated, mature, fun people who know what I do is for money for me, and pure fun for them. They're mostly married guys who don't expect me to sleep with them, fall in love with them, etc... but flirting keeps people alive and the $500/hour they spend on me is small potatoes to them.

Dudes like you who obsessively fall in love with strippers who are CLEARLY not in love with them are one of the banes of our occupation.

Also, I do know the dancer fairly well. We've hung out on various occasions, I've met a few of her friends, know about her background and family, .etc.
.

I have a VERY elaborate background, childhood anecdotes etc etc for my alter ego, should this situation ever arise. I have had regulars who claim they know everything about me, but the only thing I have told them that is true is my age. One was for over two years. So I wouldnt assume anything. Our job is to to keep you interested and wanting more. Showing some "background" or "humanity" is one way to make you feel special.

Interesting, yet another reason to stop spending money on strippers. In fact I had pretty much stayed away from strip clubs for a couple years until I met this lady on a boys night out.

Regardless, I don't think I was ever paying to feel "special". In fact, she had a pretty wicked sense of humor that would target me at times and have me lmao. It's not like I paid her to sit there and tell me now wonderful I am, LOL. Anyway, draw your own conclusions ladies as you are very good at that. I second that. $175K for 3 yrs. of listening to fairy tales. That is equivalent of 100-120 hourly sessions with pornstar quality escorts from high-end agency. How about 30-40 minutes of hot sex followed(or preceded) by 20-30 minutes being read to from Grimms Fairy Tales ?

Since you're saying you wanna stop what you're doing but can't you're gonna need to find a way to make her leave you alone and the only way to do that is to make her think you've gone into stalker mode. Start calling, texting, showing up at the club, things that will make her wanna cut off all contact with you then you'll be free to move on

I've got a better idea.

The best way to make her leave you alone is to make her realize that you're flat broke. And the best way to do that is to give her all your money!
