^^Those look a thousand times better than the first ones posted. The lines were to solid in the first pic, plus I think the cherries really messed up the effect. I really like them best with the bows done in color though.

Oh now that looks very sexy! I think it's a matter of body shape and how the design is done. With the right legs and right type of seam, I think it can be sexy. And if you already have that kind of look, it would go along with the theme.

As for the comments about how it will look when you're 80, that always cracks me up. Who is going to care what your legs look like at that age? I kinda doubt you'll be wearing short skirts and stilettos at that age. But if you are, more power to ya!;D

Last I checked, cellulite came around before you were 80... way before.

Wanna get laid at 40? I do.

I've seen this LOTS! Its so cool... one of my friends had faeries with push pins stuck in them for seams down the back of her legs.. and I saw another chick at a Tat convention with matching macaw parrots - they faced each other. Very neato.. :P

I'm a big fan of this tattoo.
I think you need to get the bows with it though, or even get just the bows.

See, a lot of people say to me "What do you think you'll look like with all those tattoos and piercings when youre 80?" and to be honest, I really doubt Ill be getting naked much at 80, and if I am, the tattoos will be the least of my worries!

Are you not gonna be getting naked at 60 though? Am I the only one that can't imagine life without sex....at any age? }:D

I'm gonna be nipped and tucked till I look as young as they can make me.... combine that with Viagra and I plan on getting some for as long as possible.

Think 60 is that old? Things are different than they were 20 yrs ago. My dad turns 60 this year. My parents went parasailing last year, climbed a waterfall in Jaimaca. They are going to the beach next week, they looove bodyboarding and snorkling and have been talking about getting their scuba certifications. Neither of them look over 40... I try not to think about it, but I'm pretty sure they still see each other naked.

i think they're hot and i like them, BUT i have seen them on TONS of girls. if you look at suicidegirls you can find at least a dozen. i saw a girl with them at the grcoery store the other day, i've worked with 2 dancers who've had them, etc...

so they're still cool, but they're getting way common.

If anyone's interested in the history behind he whole stocking seam tattoo thing....

In the 1940's, it was a considered a very fashionable and feminine thing to wear stockings (most back then had a seam)
Alot of women could not afford to purchase luxuries like stockings during WWII, so they would actually draw the line down the back of their leg with an ink pen/marker!
I have a really cool book about WWII and the creative things women would do when it came to fashion and beauty on a strict budget. There is a pic in there of two pinup-looking girls helping eachother draw the lines down their legs! It's really cute, I wish I had a scanner so I could post the pic.

In my scene girls started getting those tattoos as a way of paying respect to the past, showing their love for the vintage lifestyle.......a rockabilly thing really.
Now I see alot of girls who aren't in the vintage life/rockabilly scene getting these tattoos, and it's crazy how the trends of our subculture have leaked into the mainstream!

I never liked it, personally. I have seen some girls who it looks killer on though.

That's a really cool fact. I love finding out the meaning behind tattoos

You know what annoys me? The fact that people don't know the difference between a garter and a garter belt (if we were English and had "suspenders" it might be easier).

I just googled "garter belt tattoo" because I thought that would be interesting, and instead only saw garter tattoos. Boo.

Garter:

Garter belt:

What I find when I google "garter belt tattoo":

I want to see the full-on commitment of, say, a tattooed garter belt and stockings with dark welts and seams and perhaps even Cuban heels. Now that would be interesting.

^^That sounds incredible. I'm sure someone has it, but I have never seen it online or in real life. If I come across it I will post a pic.
