My 2 little sisters know. My big brothers DONT and my mom and dad DONT. At least I think they still don't. Who knows? They might suspect, but I try to avoid the topic ::) . I wish I could be out and proud to everyone.

Everyone knows and has since about the 2nd week. No biggie except that my mom wont cut my hair off because "strippers need long hair" LOL. I love being able to complain or brag about work to my mommy. She conforts me.

my family knows...my mother was an exotic dancer before she got married so she couldn't really disapprove. i think she was more jealous when she found out. she's one of those milf types
i haven't seen my real father since i was 13. my step father doesn't really approve but he respects all the money i'm making ...other than that he doesn't really have a say
my brother just wants to know where i'm working so that when he goes out he doesn't end up there with any of his friends lol

Everyone i know knows including my family. my stepfather came into the club on christmas night one night as i was finishing up to take me over my mothers house. and mum wants to see me dance one day. my granmother is worried about my rep. but i think she's starting to get the idea of what it's actually about.
and my uncles just giggle under their breath.
My housemate introduces me as 'strippy'

No way. None of my family members do, although my bro and mom think I bartend/waitress at a sc. It sucks lying, but it would suck even more if my parents stopped talking to me, which they definitely would. Sigh.

No-one in my family knows.
I hate lying to my parents because in other ways I'm very close to them. I'm not stripping at the moment but I intend to go back to it in a couple of months. When I was stripping I loved the job so much but when I phoned my parents they'd ask so many questions about my fake job I couldn't answer and I hated it.
I used to be a hostess and some of my sensible friends freaked out about that, so that was like a trial run of who-to-tell about stripping when I decided to do that. So now only a small section friends know, and most of them are ex or current hostesses/strippers/escorts themselves.
I am so jealous of you guys who can talk about it openly with your family! If I told mine they wouldn't get why I wanted to do it at all. For me it's a very personal, sexual thing that I couldn't explain to them. And of course the money. I like the sales buzz.
If I told my family they would be like, but you are intelligent enough to do anything else (I KNOW! I'm not doing it because I don't think I could get a more "worthy" job). Also I think they would try to offer me money so I wouldn't "have to" do it. Which again, I don't want. I like to earn my own.
And if I can earn money drinking champagne and being admired then I WILL ;-)
I have been thinking about this a lot recently and I am going to get a part-time job out of the SC so I can talk about that to them as if it's full-time.
It has been really interesting reading everyone's experiences, thank you for starting this thread!

My parents know. I frankly told my mother (who strongly disapproves), and my boyfriend's father (who was informed by my boyfriend) told my dad. My dad doesn't know that I know that he knows. XD
As far as I know, those are the only people who know, but my mom tells her sisters everything about my life, good and bad, so I don't really know, and I'm not about to ask. If my grandparents weren't African and generally unaware of what stripper shoes look like, they'd know.
My grandmother found my (poorly-hidden) work shoes and exclaims "Ooooh! Where do you wear THESE to? Silly shoes..." in her Scottish-Nigerian accent.
"Uh...partying, grandma...Eh-heh..."

I'm not into the whole living a lie thing so I told them shortly after I figured out I was serious about the job and going to stick with it.

All my friends and family and boyfriend (and bf's family too!) know. Except my dad. He'll never know as long as I can help it. I don't see or talk to him that often so it's easy to hide. It's nice being able to be open with everyone else though. Real nice.

No secrets in my family. And I don't really care what they think. It's just easier being REAL with them.
