i'm just numb... all the time.
I know. I've been there. It does get better, I promise - and sooner than you think.

It's raining, it's pouring..I'm about to be snoring!
What perfect weather to cuddle up and watch a movie with my puppy and doze off...I should make hot chocolate. I have my windows open and the smell and sound of the rain is just so calming...i dont think it's rained for 3 months...

i guess it's like a death and i'll go through these phases.
at the moment i'm imagining i didn't just say it all - and wondering whether maybe i'm imagining i feel like this... and maybe if i just had a nanny for a few hours... or a this or a that....
*head spins*
*head explodes*
i feel like collapsing on a chaise a la 'my fair lady' and crying... "where will i go, what will i do.... and what will become of me... " *sob sob*

Yep, I've been there. It does pass. Before you know what happens, if my experience is anything to go by, you'll have your second husband in another room and you'll be in the kitchen feeling extremely annoyed with him but you love him anyway.
Too bad you can't join us for breakfast in the morning. I'm making it right now - cheesy cheddar fried polenta fritters with fennel-kohlrabi salad in a lemon-mustard vinaigrette, and sliced pink pearl apples on the side. And of course, fresh ground coffee.

That sounds pretty fine... my breakfasts are the epitome of boring.
I strongly doubt there will be a 2nd husband. The universe was lucky to get one marriage out of me. 8)

Not to keep saying it, ha... but I said the same thing. I told my friends to kill me if I ever thought about getting married again. (Fortunately they didn't listen.) Even K, when we were first together, said he cared too much about me to go through with something like marriage. I told everyone that once was enough. Of course I've had to eat all those words now, but it's worth it.
K has been annoying me this week though. Hopefully he'll snap out of this lazy funk he's in. He did clean the house today and chop stuff for tomorrow's breakfast, so he's getting better.

Mmm I'm 25 and hardly any of the guys I know have kids. My bf is 32, no kids and most of his friends are 30-40 and I think like two of them have kids, and they're both married.

So we went to OK today to visit my family and my Dad took us to his land that he has rennovated and landscaped. It looks freaking amazing, he is so talented. The bathroom inside his workshop doesnt have walls yet, only the framing. Well I have awful recurring nightmares about using toilets out in the open, but I had to go to the bathroom soo bad. I almost had a panic attack, just there being no walls is like super threatening to me for some reason, although the second part of my dreams is that the toilet overflows. Of course no one was around, but omg I was freaking out so bad.
Wth, my cramps are so bad i just threw up.

Hmm... it's just me then.
The same thing happened when I first got my "Bunny"... all of a sudden I noticed all of the other "old" Toyota Corollas ! hahahaha.
In other news, I finally covered some of the carpet under the kitty litter with garbage bags... (on top of the garbage bags is a rug then newspapers and more paper with the kitty litter container on top).... THAT should finally help me stop Puddy from wrecking the already wrecked carpet. Hopefully.
(For those a little clueless: Puddy is a 13 yr old de sexed male Norwegian Forest cat (long haired black). He is half blind nearly fully blind due to his diabetes. Due to his age and diabetes, he has a tendency to pee NOT in the kitty litter.. just the area surrounding it. It also doesn't help that he is fussy: he won't pee if there is any poo and/or the kitty litter is a little too wet for HIS liking.)
I've also completely covered my mattress (it's not as big or thick as you think) with garbage bags too. Why? God damn bed bugs. The problem I had with them in the old place has travelled over to here :(
Except I can't do much of anything real to solve the problem til my useless flatmate leaves. Then I can dump the mattress and get a pest control person to spray for bed bugs!
For now, it's covered in garbage bags (they're clean, I bought a whole heap new for this purpose). The overlay and then the sheets will help me sleep on it. The garbage bags make sure that any existing bed bugs (I found a few :() will die and no more will take up residence on the mattress since they can't really now.. hahaha!

MrsC and I went to the renn faire in Maryland yesterday with a friend, and no kids. The friend and I got remarkably sauced on mead. At one point we randomly decided to have a "Here....punch me in the face" moment like Fight Club. I have a sore jaw today, betting he does, too. It was raining and muddy as hell. There was much drunken dancing to bagpipes. Then we all sang Violent Femmes really loudly in the car on the way home and went to Waffle House. All in all an excellent day. We all got 2 day passes so we'll go back in a couple of weeks and bring the kidlets this time.
I passed out on the couch when we got home. I didn't sleep well at all. I think I'm going back to bed.

It's absolutely amazing the crap that a Bissell wet vac pics up from your carpet. I've only lived in this apartment for three months and the shit it picked up was NASTY.
Even though I vacuum all the time it probably lifted up enough cat hair to make another cat. When I buy a house I'm getting wood floors. Swears.
I had a bottle of wine last night & now i have a major hangover, i feel so dehydrated & i have the worst headache. Damn that two buck chuck.

Oh yeah!! I have a steam cleaner and do my carpets(only one small room is carpeted, plus the large area rug in the living room...the rest is tile floors that NEVER stay clean..they are the bane of my existence...seriously...I've gotten on hands and knees and SCRUBBED them with bleach and vinegar and the SECOND I'm done, they look like I've never touched them...HATE them). I steam about once a month and its amazing how much dirt and cat hair it picks up

Eww on the dumbass stalker dude in this thread .....
Anyways this weekend we went to visit my mother-in-law to go drop off the puppy and omg it was such a sweet moment! She was sooo happy! Her dog that she had for years recently died and she was devastated so we got her a new one. When we were leaving though my daughter kept telling my babe and I that we forgot the puppy, so that was sad.
So today hopefully I get to go to the gym. I just finished cleaning so, yay! I hate cleaning.

what a great weekend! saw My Morning Jacket w/ my boyfriend at a neat venue (the Edgefield in Troutdale... it's a McMenamins hotel/winery/restaurant/outdoor concert space) near the Gorge... ate some amazing food and made some oven-dried tomatoes... celebrated a friend's birthday with more food...
I love my boyfriend so much. Last night, before falling asleep, we stayed up for about an hour joking about all sorts of things, creating funny characters and voices, inhabiting strange worlds we made up... I actually just laughed myself hoarse on our jokes. I can't believe I've found such a great partner for my life. :)
Today at work's been pretty smooth too! Got a great pep talk from a co-worker who used to have my position. I love my job.

Just helped my man control his finances as such. Now if he can just NOT touch the money actually IN his account.. he may find he actually might be able to have SOME savings that will come in handy.
I wish I could take his keycard off him (he doesn't have a credit card as it has been "disabled" as such by the bank until he pays off that debt) so then I could be sure he wouldn't be tempted to use it....
At least he has let me have access to his banking (online). Yeah, it's all me in his stuff not the other way around ladies ;D
No way is he getting into MY account!
Seriously, I don't allow anyone except my book keeper and accountant see my statements etc. I don't see the point. I'm not the one who needs "help" as such.
My man needed help. Poor bugger gets home from work so late (and leaves real early) that.. yeah.. he doesn't really have the time so I told him to delegate it to me.

Wow. Something I didn't factor into the equation when I was looking into Dog Grooming: possibly being an unpaid apprentice for 3-6 months! :(
I was hoping that the course I have paid over $3K to do and am doing intensively right now (3 days a week)... would be enough. I would be "qualified" by the time I finished which would be just before Indy... and thus I could start when I got home from my birthday acquiring my first client.
However.
Since then.
I've learnt about cat grooming plus there are a whole heap of dog breeds I probably won't touch because the salon I'm learning thru (thus "the school") mainly deals with small dogs and the occasional medium sized dog. No large dogs (except poodles), not many medium sized dogs and esp. no cats.
Thus I'm looking into possibly taking on an apprenticeship for 3-6 months at another salon locally .... most likely unpaid. Hmm...
Which means realistically I won't be really qualified to "stand on my own two feet" until just inside the new year. Hmm....
I still want this tho' ... I just have to hope I find a groomer who will take me on as an apprentice and will allow me to do so Mon-Tue-Wed so I can still work (Thu-Fri-Sat).
