I always thought it was for college aged women also. Of course older and younger females will buy the items.

I always figured they started that line to compete with Juicy Couture in a way, like someone else mentioned upthread. They started off with undies then expanded to clothes, bags, comforters, etc. I never really paid attention to who shopped in there, I like a few of their stuff but I think it is overpriced except for sale time.

I'm guessing parents give 12/13 y.o. girls $$ and send them off to the mall, not asking what they bought when they get home. If I was sent with any money (and that hardly happened, I went shopping with my mom because I wanted her opinion) you better believe I would have had to show what I bought down to the last dollar. If it was anything inappropriate it would have went back immediately.

So I don't really blame the young girls for wanting to wear that stuff, sex & beauty are what is important and attractive, if you pay attention to the media and even others around you. It is the parents fault for not being much of a buffer. At least while they still can.

Of course, there are mothers who would buy those undies for their own daughters, which is another thread in itself.

I would NEVER want to wear space age shit on my cunt. Wearing no panties is best, then next to that cotton.

:rotfl:  You're fucking HI-larious, kitana! I agree!

...And HEY! My Mom wears Pink bras! She thinks they're pretty and comfy.

ROFL, I do have a gem or two pop outta my ass on occasion.}:D

The only panties I own (besides work) are cotton ones from the Pink line. I can't wear their bras though, they aren't supportive enough, and they don't carry my size.

To each their own, I guess.

Cotton, hemp, and burlap are way too scratchy for my pussy, no matter how healthy they are or what probiotics they contain.

Actually I bought a pair of "PINK sweat pants. they cut below the knee, and have actually worn them to class, but I m 26. They are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn.

P.S. Don't women in college know the wonders of microfibers, space age fabrics, and all sorts of fancy materials to put on their fannies?

Where I come from, cotton undies are for lil girls. And the PINK bras look like training bras.

Cute cotton panties are my favorite! Those and stripper thongs are all I wear. Im sitting on the couch now in my PINK yoga pants and fluffy PINK robe. I never thought VS was for young girls, either way that is a weird saying to have on panties.

I remember when I was in 6th grade my older 7th grade cousin had a pair of panties that said NO NO no at the top front and when it got to the bottoms right at the crotch it said YES!, she showed me in the bathroom at school. i was like:confused:.

Umm, who suggested hemp or burlap? And no one mentioned anything about probiotics, did they?::)

Young pre-teens wearing lingerie and racy stuff is definitely gross; parents just need to know what their kids are wearing/watching/talking about.

^^ oh hell no! that's my daughters age!
I am def not one of those parents that give my 12 year old $$ and send her off to the mall to buy whatever she pleases, i'd rather be one of those parents that's always up in my childs business than one of those who has her kid shopping at vs with friends.

You sound like a great mom! I still can't go shopping without my mom and I'm in college!

First of all.... who is reading something on a girls ass (of any age) unless she's a stripper or with her boyfriend.

All the boyfriends I've had would get pissed if I had "teacher's pet" on my ass.

Then there is the play on words: Teacher's Pet as opposed to Teachers Pet... without the apostrophe... implying teachers pet the ass.

(Also note... it doesn't say Professor's Pet ::))

And then there is the fact that the design is made of bright red apples. Last I checked apples were edible, given to teachers to get brownie points, and hey... if there are a hundred apples on the ass and surrounding the crotch..... call me crazy... but to me it seems tremendously sexual.

Sexual relationships with teachers... in college or otherwise.... shouldn't be a marketing ploy. That's just my :twocents:

I think you may reading too much into it.
I have seen alot of girls on campus wearing their stuff... In fact I have a few of their tank tops that I wear on my lazy day... and their sweatpants to chill in are very comfy...
I have pink panties and bras... they are comfortable, affordable, and plain enough to wear everyday when I go to my classes.
the bras go up to a size D... I haven't seen too many 9 year olds w. a D cup.
I think there's a cartoon on disney channel called "teacher's pet"? I don't see the big deal

^^ Tee hee hee.

I want some probiotic panties. There has to be a market for that! Wear 'em post yeast infection. And hey, each pair could come with a clove of garlic! (Relatively old-time SWers will catch my drift.)

Lol, when you posted your rant about tunics I was thinking about my own rant about grown women wearing sweatpants as a fashion statement. The whole "Pink" line and others like it need to be reserved for home or the gym. Sweats do not belong out in public, no matter what your age!

I'm sick of going to campus and seeing girls wearing this sloppy crap. Hell, why not just wear your pajamas go class? I'm sure your profs will take you about as seriously as when you show up with "Cute" written across your ass. And the irony of it is that most of the girls wearing that shit aren't really cute at all! They're wearing sweats because they need elastic waistbands to contain their shit.

I prefer cotton panties to microfiber, etc. My kitten's a free spirit and needs to BREATHE

Whenever I get discharge or general wetness, it feels funny and doesn't evaporate easily out of non-cotton panties. Also, non-cotton panties remind me of work panties.

Well personally I think its a "style" thing more than anything, I think you guys are looking at it too literally and here is why I say this: I was recently at a friends house who has a 13 year old daughter, she was trying on different clothes and such trying to figure out what she wanted to wear to school. So she comes downstairs and goes "Hey what do you think of this? I dont look EMO do I??" I am like "no you dont look EMO but I thought it was cool these days to look emo". I am then informed that it isnt cool to look goth/punk/emo anymore the new or shall I say old thing now is PREPPY.

So in saying this, I think they might be trying to capitalize on the new fashion craze with the young crowd and since its back to being preppy then the "Teachers pet" thing would totally make sense.

On a book, on a bookbag, on a hat, a shirt, or even a bracelet. Yes, it would make sense.

How does it make any sense on underwear???? So far, no one has been able to explain this to me, so don't take it personally echo m.

In a strip club scenario... a dancer dressed up as a school girl can wear these underwear and it makes sense. The stripper most likely is of age and is probably trying to get the sexual attention of older men. Fine......

In the real world.... it's absurd at best... downright illegal at worst.

Well really how does it make sense to have ANYTHING written on ones underpants? One thought is that its for guys, but it really isnt and we all know that - guys could give a shit whats written on panties! haha.

Another way to look at it is that we just like having silly things written across our asses just for personal knowledge and something to laugh about with friends.

I am going with the latter. Young girls are immature (not that WE arent) and thinking about something written across the bum seems funny.

I pretty much only wear VS panties, and most of my bikini briefs and boyshorts are from the Pink collection. Some of it, I just think is cute, and it's not like people see THOSE panties on me. Well, except for the wide lace thong panties...I actually wear those at work. They lay so nicely along my hips. And except for my husband of course. I also have some of the Pink sweatpants (The Boyfriend fit). They are incredibly comfortable to lounge around in, or wear to the gym. I personally think these little tweenies and teens shouldn't be wearing them. Like they're trying to show people how adult they are because they have VS stuff. I didn't get VS stuff til I was 18 ish.

I love PINK!

Everything is so comfy and cute and still sexay looking! Their ribbed tanks look so good on me. lol. ;D

I am college aged so I believe I'm part of their demographic and it does appeal to me. They are most definitely geared towards the college crowd who needs comfy, adorable clothes for class and hanging out in the dorms. Also, living in Seattle where it rains nonstop 9 months out of the year, the dress code is VERY casual and PINK is a big seller to all the girls here who can fit into their sizes; middle school, high school, and college aged girls. Nobody takes the fact that its from VS seriously. It's so casual that the sexy VS image really just doesn't cross the mind, you don't put the two together. It's just comfy gear that's cute too with a brand name on it.

As far as why would anyone wear cheekily worded panties if no one's going to see them? Personally, I don't dress for anyone, I dress in such a way that I feel good, cute, and confident. I like being sexy for myself. I don't really need a point or reason to do it. I sometimes wear cheeky panties like that or sometimes plain ones or sometimes ones with little details like ribbons and sequins and I don't wear them with the intention to be showing them off. They're FUN and CUTE. I wear them because I like them. That's just me personally tho.

I agree with Andy Girl tho. I hate how freakin sloppy and lazy some girls look. I've seen chicks show up to college interviews in sweats and still wet hair. I mean, WTF? Their moms didn't teach them how important appearance is? It pisses me off. There's a time and place for those kinda casual clothes.

I think everybody has sexuality, even young girls. It may seem creepy to some but young girls have the same rights to explore their sexuality just as much as anyone else, hopefully they can do it in a safe, supportive enviroment but that's usually not the case. They're just kids trying on different "people" to see which one fits them. I think it's sad how American culture wants young girls to suppress any kind of sexual persona until they're 18 and, at the same time, tell them they need to super sexed up to be an acceptable female.

I dunno, Sophia, I think you're reading too much into it. It's not like these girls are buying these and then running off to show their 3rd period math teachers their undies. But you're right, to each their own.
