If she has those papers, she has dual citizenship.

Well, damn all that. I should have married my Brit but I was pretty sure he actually wanted to consummate the marriage if I gave him the chance. Can you get cold feet for a not-wedding?
The only place where I have found the working visa for Americans to be easily feasible was Iceland. Sigh.
Thanks for the mildly depressing info. This means I will HAVE to go through Hustler....

I wonder if you just show up in other countries and look hot, if they will let you work. I guess you need something more secure than that to go- but damn, I want to see Prague so effin bad. That would be great.
Has anybody ever done the pheasant season in the Dakotas?

No... that only happens in the USA ::). Seems like no one cares about paperwork here, as long as you say you're over 18 (I didn't get IDed at my first club at all) you can probably work. Hell! I wasn't even hot!
But yeah, I'd never participate in or advise others to circumvent the proper channels.

I spoke with Julie at your club today! I think I'm travelling up for 10 days or so :)

Don't come to AZ! Whatever you do LOL you'll barely make enough to eat at night (not that bad but stay out.)
Why don't you go somewhere you've always wanted to vacation? ATL is at the top of my list if I were to take a trip, I hear it's a totally different scene. But liscense fees are up the wazoo.
Be sure you ask the girls what the liscence situation is where you're going too.
ATL used to be awesome but now with the gas shortages I hear it's been pretty tough. Permit fees are $300 a year and you have to have your SSC, birth certificate and picture ID. Plus the city is divided into 2 counties, and the two top clubs are in separate counties: Pink Pony in Dekalb, Cheetah's in Fulton. And each county requires a SEPARATE permit.
I loved it there but I'd seriously wait til the gas crisis is over.

If you're between 18 and 30 you can work in Australia on a Work and Holiday visa for up to 12 months.

Verrrry cool. I'm going to have to give that a try. I wonder if you have to report where you plan on working.

Sophia,
No you don't have to tell them where you plan to work nor do they care too much. They will give you a listing and book of places which are popular for hiring traveling tourists but you are not obliged to go solely with the options they provide for you. You can work any job, especially if you are specialized in a certain area/ expertise, have experience or a degree in a certain field. It also helps to have the visa if you decide you'd rather bartend/waitress or do a mix of both dancing and a bar job at a normal pub.

Did you ever end up going to Massachusetts, and did it work for you. I'm in the same situation and would love to see how things went for you.

According to my research Australia doesn't want any American strippers.
I looked into working holiday visas... no USA girls need apply. :(
A working holiday visa is only given to folks form:
"....... Belgium, Canada, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan and United Kingdom."

Not true! I am an American stripper in Oz! Look at this: http://www.immi.gov.au/visitors/working-holiday/462/index.htm
I applied online and got my visa through email in a couple of hours

Iiiiiinteresting. I will have to look more closely at that particular Visa option. Stupid question, but are Working Visas applicable to Strip Clubs or are they only for "normal jobs". Can I apply for a Visa and say I'll be stripping?
Are there Stripper exchange agencies? Or anything like that?
From what I remember, you don't have to state what type of job you'll be applying for. When you get here, apply for a tax file number, then get an ABN number and you'll be ok. Most clubs will take you with a TFN and help you apply for an ABN.
