I don't wear perfume at work, just body splash. And most of the time I wear Aquolina Pink Sugar. I have a body splash that I spray on after sets onstage and a hair perfume that I use maybe twice a night. A little stripper stereotypical because it smells really sweet, kinda like cotton candy, but I get tons of compliments, and I actually like it.

my best body spray- bath & body works "Tropical Passionfruit" had mouths watering. Curious and Fantasy by Britney Spears goes over well too. But agree on the cotton candy, not for me.

I wear plain old vanilla body spray at work. It's cheap and probably tacky, but the guys looooooove it. Occasionally I'll switch it up and wear Rapture by VS, and I get compliments on that too..but way more when I'm wearing the vanilla. Guys like foody scents.
I love to wear vanilla body spray at work, I used to wear Chanel coco mademoiselle but i go through the stuff in a matter of weeks. All the men say i smell so gorgeous and sweet with vanilla spray on though.
Another one i wear is a glitter body powder by urban decay in cocoa it makes u smell of chocloate and adds a light golden shimmer to your skin.

I love floral fragrances and "clean" scents, so it smells like I'm fresh out of the shower... when I'm really sweating balls! lol
Good ol' Love Spell from Victoria's Secret has gotten me more compliments than anything else.

I recently bought FlowerBomb perfume which has a really sweet vanillaish smell and lasts for a long time. I've gotten lots of compliments on Moonlit Path from Bath and Body Works and also Vera Wang Princess

I don't wear women's fragrances at all to work. This guy told me he really liked me but when he got close enough to smell me said no. He explained his wife wore strawberries and champagne VS spray and she would def notice that he smelled like Vanilla instead. I wear men's cologne, like Platinum Egoiste, Insurrection, Issey Miyake, Lucky, Burberry, Kenneth Cole. Anything sensual without being cloying. Men's fragrances take on a different smell on a woman but still smell very good. Guys always telling me it's refreshing to smell a girl who hadn't been drowning in fruit/flowers.

I layer up on Soap and Glory scents... not sure if you have the brand in the US. It's quite sweet but it seems to work for me - I switched to Angel for a while which I loved but I just didn't seem to be as popular with men as Soap and Glory... Plus Soap and Glory products are about a quarter of the price of Angel!

Um, in the UK anyway they have a perfume called 'Eau de Soap and Glory' which is pretty good, and cheap... I have pretty much the entire range.
A lot of Soap and Glory scents (the 'original' scents anyway) are dupes for Miss Dior Cherie. I have both and there's hardly any difference. They both have patchouli and popcorn notes I believe?
It's so cheap it's worth a go. Hope it helps.

I wear the Japanese Cherry Blossom body mist by The Body Shop. It's top notes are fuji apple, Chinese magnolia and osmanthus flower... fresh and fruity!
In the past I've worn Miss Dior Cherie and Chance by Chanel but I no longer wear 'proper' perfume at work, it's too expensive to replace the bottle every few months.

Men love a bitch that smells of cookies. Anything food related, especially for fat guys. I like to use a scent that has a mental color image matching my outfit. For a bright pink I use cotton candy, for most I stay in a vanilla or apple area. Food scents get me more compliments and sniffing during dances.
My favorite currently is Indian Coconut Nectar from Sephora. Depending on what they like, men will say it smells like coconut, vanilla, etc. But I have to be careful applying it around other dancers as they will grab it and drench themselves in it. It is a most wonderful scent. When I started I liked Sugar by Fresh, but haven't picked up a new bottle in a long time.
I've tried a few perfume-y fragrances, like the Ralph Lauren Blue that my BF bought me. No discernible difference.

I think the reason why Vanilla works so well is that it's supposed to be an aphrodisiac. I always wear the VS body spray and pheromone stuff too. I swear it works I tested in on my bf lol

So thats why I saw a girl using some Mitchum the other day! I saw another girl using some Gillette stuff too.
I don't typically use perfume at work. I do like Sexy little Things Noir Solid perfume from VS. Very light and fresh.
I WAS using bohemian from AE but someone stole it! >:( I got a TON of compliments on it and it was very clean and fresh almost cologne-ish. I like clean smelling scents more like men's cologne then women's perfume. And the men loved it so there is something to it...

I used to work with this one chick who would put body glitter all over herself from head to toe, AND spray glitter in her hair AND absolutely DRENCH herself in perfume to the point where she'd walk by and it would cause you to choke.
I don't know how she ever got any dances.
....
Minus the drenching in perfume the whole glitter thing was me! It made me get into the role, and if the guy was a douche he'd be wearing most of the glitter when he went home, a big FU to him now go home to your wife. :P
Chloe narcisse but just a little is what i used to wear.

Beyonce Heat works as it has a sort of caramel vanilla smell. Instant sugar hit. Nothing complicated. My BF loves it too, but I tell him it's my moneymaking perfume, and rarely wear it just for him! Lol.
When that ran out, I wore Marc Jacobs Daisy a few times, and I thought it was too fresh and cutesy rather than sexy, but I still got lots of compliments. My personal favourite perfume for myself is Flora by Gucci, because it's slightly smoky and sophisticated, but it does worst at work, I think for that very reason.
After my Beyonce ran out so quickly I decided not to wear expensive perfume to work anymore. Now I usually wear a $5 Hello Kitty body spray from Coles supermarket that smells like fairy floss. Some guys ask me if I have grape bubblegum. Or lately I've taken to Glamorous by Impulse, which is a body spray I got at a beauty warehouse for $3. It doesn't smell like other cheap fruity body sprays.

I want to get some different perfumes to try out but ever since day 1 I've just been using Vanilla Lace body spray from Victoria's secret! I just love vanilla and it seems like a better scent to use at work rather than anything fruity.
This one guy I used to have a thing with loved that smell. He told me once after I left his house one night he smelled like that the rest of the night and loved it. Then when I saw him again he said all amazed-sounding "that smell!" lol he acted like he'd never smelled vanilla before! :D

Normally I wear nothing but deodorant but sometimes I wear Calvin Klein Euphoria and it always gets at least a few compliments. I'm bad at identifying what perfumes smell like so here's how someone else described it: "The fragrance Euphoria is an addictive oriental fragrance that contrasts exotic fruits, seductive florals and a rich, creamy signature." Sounds about right.

A girl told me this the other day and I just laughed. I've used my bfs before when I was running low and he got pissed but work was good. It smells different, but still fresh and clean on a woman. Plus it just smells so freakin' good.

Men's deodorant works better in the first place and studies have shown that men, when smelling two women wearing either perfume or men's cologne, will prefer the cologne. I assume it's something to do with the subconcious "she's a breeder" thing?
None the less, I love jasmine most. It's a sexy floral, with a smokey undertone that's feminine but isn't too girly. lol, I love opening the bottle and telling male friends "tell me what comes to mind." It's always the same response- a blush and a devious smile!

I wear Very Sexy by Victoria's Secret.
(eau de toilette)
I honestly get compliments EVERY SINGLE night!
I love it. Although what works for one girl, may smell different on another girl. So it's hard to find that one that is just the essence of YOU!
I always spray:
Back of neck (Most important!)
Wrists
Cleavage
I would recommend never using:
Cheap fruity scents
Super strong scents
Anything with glitter

Euphoria is nuts! I'm not a fan of CK fragrances but Euphoria is another story.
It is easily in my top 10 list.
Why?
Complexity: I believe that a perfume should smell like a perfume-- not just a facsimile of a flower or fruit or spice or other substance. Too many times I spray something and it's a one dimensional drag.... even if the description says it's a blend of X, Y, and Z it still smells like a fucking orange with some other crumbs of random-ass spices or flowers thrown in. It's an orange. And we all know that an orange is an orange.
You're right.... you can't describe the way it smells. Even if you break down the notes of this perfume, it is akin to saying a cake tastes like oil, eggs, flower, chocolate, and sugar.
On their own, those things taste the way they do.
Mixed in equal proportions, they would taste like crap.
Mixed incorrectly they would taste like crap.
BUT! if the proportions are right and you follow the recipe you get something that tastes like a cake... and that doesn't taste like anything else. A cake is a new entity.
The WHOLE is greater than the sum of its parts!
But if you're curious about the parts---- ;) here is a list from http://www.basenotes.net/ID10210521.html
Top Notes
Pomegranate, Persimmon, "Lush Green Accord"
Middle Notes
Lotus Blossom, Champaca Flower, Black Orchid
Base Notes
Liquid Amber, Black Violet, Cream Accord, Mahogany Wood

I know this sounds really bizarre, but I use Axe 'Dark Temptations" deodorant body-spray w/ a couple squirts of Dolce & Gabbana on my pulse points after. I always get told I smell so good. Weird, huh. Maybe its the mix of the masculine & feminine. Dunno.

I wear two perfumes at the same time. I like the mix & so do my customers. It's "Rockin Princess by Vera Wang" & "Bvlgari Rose Essentielle".
I'm done with body sprays. They don't last and if I spray again, customers bitch that i'm wearing too much perfume. No complaints on my mixed perfume.
I want to get a good hair perfume. I want to try that instead of body perfume, see how that works. Anyone know any good ones out there?

a colleague of mine swears by exclaimation and i've always had good luck with coconut myself ... never heard of that mens deodorant ... i'll definitely try that one ... btw, fragrances are one of the most cancer causing things you can do to yourself ... spray it on the outside of your costume, rather than directly on your skin and you'll take in less of the toxic crap ... toxins turn into two things: disease or cellulite ... from what i've heard anyways
