I would still dance. I think I'd probably do one or two shifts a week - I don't think I could ever stop completely. But I'd also...
buy house out near the beach about 3 hours out of my home town
buy a small town house
buy a pretty car and do it up so I can drive around feeling awesome (nothing flashy, I just really would love a nissan skyline that I can get juuust how I want)
I'd go horse riding every opportunity I got
start kickboxing (especially since I wouldn't have to worry about making sure I could work most nights a week which always meant I wouldn't want to train)
go to tons of music festivals and concerts
spend all my free time at the beach, travelling to overseas beaches etc...

If I didn't have another job of course I would. Even if I have another job I still would. I would also pay off my student loans and any taxes I'm behind on. I'd be able to buy a bigger home and a new (well more than likely a used but new to me) car. I'd have to give some to charity and animal rescue. The rest I'd invest and/or put in a retirement account.
I was brought up wanting to give money away to people who need it the most. I like having money but not being greedy with it.

If suddenly tomorrow you were a millionaire, would you still dance? If yes, how often and why? If not, why not and what would you do?
I will disclaimer this with - I have only read the OP not the whole thread.
No. I would not. Why? I would invest some of it into my GCPets biz, buy investment properties (which would fund my purchase of a home), buy some off shore investments.. and basically use it so that I would never ever have to step foot inside a strip club as a dancer ever ever ever again.
My "love" for this industry is on the decline as a dancer. I would love to never have to "hustle" ever again. Be able to do what I want to do .. not what I have to do.

Probably, though only once a week, or every couple of weeks. I'd spend my time indulging myself, traveling around to lots of expensive posh spas, eating a lot of really, really good food, and being a bum around my huge house. Sounds wonderful...*sigh*

I think we should all dance as if we are millionaires - putting up with nothing outside of our comfort zone and having fun as if we don't need the money.
That would be the life...lol.

*sigh* maybe it's dangerous to dream!

Lol, I never said it was a smart daydream! That's the fantastic thing about daydreams, they don't have to make any sense at all. And you better believe that logic never intrudes in my deep dark fantasies.

Absolutely not. I love dancing and all, but if I were a millionaire I'd spend all of my free time traveling and enjoying life. ;)

I quit dancing about this time last year and I totally miss it. I have a good job and Im not struggling financially, so I know it isn't the money. I really liked dancing. I wasn't ever one of the top earners, I was somewhere in the middle, so maybe if I had been a top earner I would miss the money more. I dunno. Either way, I miss the costumes and the girls and the freedom to come and go as I please. I miss working vacations. Bored with your hometown? Hope a flight to Florida. I miss the independence.
And I really, really miss the other girls. Strippers are crazy, but in a (mostly) admirable way. Being surrounded by super boring office types has made me really appreciate strippers.
So, my long winded answer is yes, I think I would dance on the side occasionally if I was a millionaire.

Yes! I love the women I meet. Even the reprehensible ones. They are stranger than fiction and the writer in me loves that.

I forgot to add one thing to mine. I would buy a conformation show quality Pug (black or fawn) and show her as much as I could. I would also show my other Pugs and my Pittie/Am Staff in more obedience, agility and rally shows.

When I bought my businesses, I felt like it was time for me to give up dancing ! I was only kidding myself, I think I stayed away for a few months before I really started to miss the whole scene.
Once dancing gets in your blood it's a hard thing to shake ! I can't see myself hanging my heels up for quite a few more years !
Like some of the other ladies, my goal is to one day buy a stripclub and I can see myself dancing here and there when I do..But for now, it's still platform heels and sexy fits.

I am secure financially as well and I still dance but not like a regular job anymore.
It's great feeling like you don't need it and your whole perception of the job changes on the amount of bs you are willing to take. It is still fun to earn cash too even if you have it.

^^ I def. hear you out on this one.
I'd travel the world and dance at clubs all over the world for fun. I love dancing and I figured there's no better time than the present :)
I wouldn't keep dancing as a full timer though. I'd go start taking classes that I want to take.. like learn how to sign.. read my fav book off the beach in Tahiti... take some culinary classes for fun... volunteer at a pound... go spend money and swim with dolphins.. I'd do whatever the fuck i want! Go work at mcdonalds and see how fast I can get fired from there... :p
I'm so weird like that -
Me too, I would have big parties in clubs tho and spend loads!

If I were a millionaire I wouldn't go back to it. I would pay off our debts. Put a good amount aside for investments in the future when things are better. Put a bigger amount aside for our children - schools, emergencies, any recreational activity they want to try. Get a nice house with a big yard but not over done. And I would take care of my family's debts and get them in great houses where ever they wanted. I wouldn't be uber tacky about it like buy a shit load of things I'll never need or use. I'd be pretty simple about it.

If I was a multi-millionaire and was set for life, hell no I would not still dance. At all.
The only reason I do it is for the money, to put myself through school without having to struggle.
Other than the wad of cash I bring home at the end of the night, there's nothing I enjoy about it.

Not as cheap as it used to be, and especially not with how weak the dollar is. You're better off somewhere like Honduras or Belize. English is the official language of Belize!

This thread makes me happy!
First thing I would do is pay off all my debt. If I had anything to do with dancing at all, screw 'stripping'! I would put together the most kick-ass burlesque show ever! Other than that I would open a spa and happily ever after pamper myself and every one else around (paying customers of course, after all I am a Capricorn!) in a nice, warm climate somewhere, NOT Minnesota.
I would drag my daughter's az* to school to make something of herself, set my folks up nicely, pay off my sister's home, buy myself a nice condo with a yard, and let my boyfriend quit his job to go find something he actually enjoys doing (he pampers the hell out of me now, it would be his turn). Shit, then I'd go back to work, I'd be out of money, lol (j/k)!

haha belize, belize. here we come, belize.
i think people with millions have their money multiply easily with stocks and investments. Even the shittiest stock doubles in 7 years. So if you have two, three million tied up in decent investments (which your good, well paid-for investment team would ensure) you are going to make your money. My rich friend made 500,000 last year sitting on his ass collecting interest. The money doesn't just disappear unless maybe you are really over the top buying his and her airplanes.
Everyone here has really practical, awesome dreams because strippers are business women and laborers.
