OK got a call at 7AM EST that Silver City in Dallas Texas has lost its liquor license. This all falls into the scenario and thread in this section about Ricks in Dallas Texas becoming a BYOB.

This all comes from an old 2003 court battle over rights to have liquor with topless within a newly declared dry zone.

I did go onto www.dfwnites.com (http://www.dfwnites.com) to see if anyone posted about Silver City and yes they have about TABC coming in and closing the club down.

SO maybe you will have two monster BYOBs in Dallas Texas.:O

Despite its checkered past, I always loved the management and the club in general, it's sad this happened.

...back in the day, Legends in Arlington had their own legal issues, and was BYOB. They parked a "mobile alcohol wagon" out in the parking lot for guys to buy booze. It worked ok. Later, that went away for whatever reason and we then use to duck through a hole in the fence near the clubs front door and buy booze from the gas station next door. Legends became or was for awhile Labare, i think.

It would be interesting to see them try to pull the old private club stunt by partitioning the building into two separate areas with one external walkway connection, one part leased to the SOB club the other to a non-SOB bar/store.

I have not found this information in print yet, but here it is for those wanting to know:

Rumor mill says: Silver City got liquor license back and has a Temporary Restraining Order in place until March 9th court date. After the 9th will see what happens.
