I think the number of other boys is irrelevant. Whether she was with 2 boys or 20, what makes her a common slut in my eyes is her behavior- claiming it was the youngest appearing boy to make some quick cash is classic whore in my books.
Oh, BFD. So what if the skanky tabloids got taken. If you're not invested in the checkout line drama I don't see why anyone would care or feel personally injured over this enough to call a young girl in a sad situation a "slut."

How is her being a young mother a "sad situation"? My first godchild was born when his mother was the same age and she's a wonderful mother who still attended school with good grades. Hell, she would be graduating this year if her own mother hadn't taken her out of classes when she got pregnant with her second child (my third godchild). She's an amazing mother with two wonderful children, and I see that continuing long into the future. She never says she wishes she hadn't got pregnant, she loves her children. In fact, she's glad she had her kids when she did, because it made her realize that she needed to straighten up and think about some one other than herself.
Having a child is what you make of it, no matter your age. Unlike this girl, who used her story to make money, my friend didn't even file for child support. That's not to say she doesn't have help though, because I certainly help as much as I can (even with a new niece that I also help take care of) and the father sends her a good chunk of his own paychecks, simply out of his goodness to take responsibility.

Yes, I absolutely do think it's a sad situation to being having a child when you're 15. You're still a child yourself. You haven't even had the chance to graduate high school, to become financially independent. Yes, I think it's unfortunate and sad. I really don't think the majority of 15 year olds are in a place to be raising children.

Did you just completely ignore what I said?
Believe it or not, alot of girls can and DO manage to do just fine having kids that young. Yes, it's harder, but if you put your mind to it, you can do it, regardless of age.
My mother was able to have me and not only finish high school, but graduate from college too. True, her situation of being a teen mom was unfortunate, but I'd hardly call it sad if she managed to raise me and still live a normal life with a good job.

^^ Yes, I heard what you said. I just don't accept your anecdotal evidence as fact. I don't believe the majority of underage girls who have kids are really able to live up to their full potential. And even in the cases where they are fortunate enough to be able to provide adequately for their children and finish high school, I'll never be convinced that a 15 year old has enough life experience to be raising another human being.
And yet, some rag like the Star being lied to seems to be the real crisis here.

Both of you guys are right, young mothers can raise their children perfectly well but MOST cannot. Just like adults SHOULD be able to raise their children right and financially responsible ect ect ect yet alot of adults can't do it either. (octuplet mom come to mind?)

Sorry Glabman but I gotta agree with the girls here............ Kids in big cities all over (zomg - forget america and the UK, look at the latin communities) are having sex at a very young age. We live in a time when sex is so prevelant in the media, young people are being presented with all kinds of ideas about sex without us even telling them yes or no. Do you really think telling your teenage daughter NOT to have sex is gunna work when (ex micky mousers) Brittney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Christina Aguilerra are the biggest pushers of "dirty" out ????? These celebs are directly targeted at teenage girls and boys, although adults listen to them too.
Telling Kids that abstinence is the only way is like Nancy Reagan telling Americans "just say no"....... more often than not you are inspiring them to do the opposite, especially when its so readily available. And if it does work- its still hoping to protect them by making them fear what is inevitable anyways. Educating them about what they should be doing to protect themselves is a great idea......... telling them the positive side of waiting untill they are really ready is even more important. This whole abstinence only BS looks to me like a religious ideology dressed up to look like "education"........... screw that!!!

I think you miss my gist, it is not the school's responsibility, it is a parental responsibility. When kiddies come along, I plan to raise them on real music (Zep, Rush, Deep Purple, etc) and not on that product called pop or cRap.

I'm inclined to agree with this. While I don't doubt that Naida's friend is a completely loving and capable mom, that is unfortunately the exception and not the rule with most teen pregnancies.

Of course, I do want to point out for anyone who misunderstood- I do NOT believe that ALL teen moms are "great" moms, just that SOME can be, so you should never automatically assume that a parent is in a "bad/sad" situation because of their age when they had the kid.
In any case, my issue is that she treated her kid (and the POSSIBLE father) as a paycheck, and I believe that is NEVER right, regardless of age.

I dont think the problem is whether she'll be a good Mum, its just unfortunate that she wont get a chance to experience life for herself before she became a Mum.
Plus, if she thinks it's ok for a 12 year old to be having sex, the you gotta wonder how she's gonna bring up her daughter...
