Instead of cold cream to remove my makeup I use coconut oil. It help to heal small wrinkles and also can help with cellulite as well!

LOL @ me. I've actually read through every single thing on this thread to see if I need to 'agree' with anyone for my tip. And it's in the two posts above me. Coconut Oil. I LIVE with this stuff. I use it as my moisturizer, as my hair masks, base for my scrubs (I add in oatmeal), massage oil with my beau. Everything.

Also, sleep, sunscreen, and I'm one of those people who never washes my hair more than 2x a week. If I have a special event or something where my hair was in a shellacked updo I will of course wash it next morning regardless of when last wash was...

Oh! And self tanner...

For all you gals doing the aspirin mask- whenever you make it without the strawberries: After it dries just lightly wet it again and gently (GENTLY) rub. Great exfoliator!

And now I'm on a roll- my best exfoliator ever (which I use with my coconut oil of course) is this salux cloth. The shipping is more than the towel so I suggest buying a few at once. Mine is 6 months old and looks like new. I'm going to open a new one soon cause I just feel like 6 months is too long. I bought it when I was looking for a shower thing I could travel with easily when going on a trip to europe. I use this every shower! It was a bit rough at first but my skin got used to it fast. It's better with a gel or oil or lotion soap though. Not so good with bars.

Though, generally speaking Caucasian hair produces more than African-American hair, hence the reference to race.

Unless you've taken an examine on everyone's hair, you wouldn't know that! This is partially why lots of sterio types come a long because of comments like this. I don't agree with what you said and I'm not trying to make it sound racial but it definitely sounds steriotypical to me.

Coconut oil is pretty much the most amazing stuff on the universe.

Oh!! I wanted to add that I put a scoop of the coconut oil in my bathwater and it melts in quicker than butter! My skin is so soft after this!

I'm gonna have to agree with Kyleigh1984 on this one. African American hair is usually a lot curlier, so the oils from the scalp can't reach the ends of the hair. If a white person goes a few days without washing their hair, it gets greasy. Our hair is the opposite, it gets drier.

My beauty tip is this: To grow Black hair long, don't relax it! Conditioner wash the hair frequently and use a good leave in conditioner (Kinky Curly Knot Today leave in is the best!). Learn how to style your hair without using heat on it.

Back when I had a relaxer, my hair barely grew past my shoulders. Now that I'm natural, my hair reaches past my brastrap.

I have used both WOW and the kind they sell at walmart. I liked the texture of WOW better but really it works just the same and isn't all that different!

Yeah, I know how to take care of my hair very well. I'm natural also. I have more wavy hair than curly. I only wash my hair maybe once every 2 weeks and it works well for me.

Another important tip for growing your hair out:

Use a heat protectant before blow drying and/or flat ironing your hair. This will prevent your ends from getting crispy.

use babywipes that contain antibacterial witch hazel and use a hand sanitiser every now and then to keep your lady bits proteted

^ That's actually super unsafe/unsanitary.

You should never use an antibacterial on your vagina. If you're a healthy woman, all of the bacteria in there is healthy bacteria. Putting a harsh antibacterial on your pussy leads to health problems.

I use the Spectrum brand Coconut oil from a natural food store, it works really well for all the purposes listed above.

Yep I think coconut oil basically wins the thread. :D

I thought of another one, the sauna. I do the sauna after my workout at the gym almost every day. I sit in there until Im dripping with sweat. It really has improved my skin a lot. Just be sure to replenish your fluids after!

Yes!! Antibacterial on your vag is a horrible idea. :(

If you do this because you're concerned about the smell of your lady bits, you might want to try gently (gently) exfoliating your inner folds. Sometimes a buildup of sloughed skin can add to the strength of your natural smell.

However, any unnaturally strong/bad smells coming from that region indicate a problem that needs to be addressed.

i meant wipes that are specially created to be used on vaginas and are ph. balanced to suit the area. not that i actually put rubbing alcohol or soak witch hazel on a cloth to cleanse myself every half hour coz that is unsafe.
use the specific product on the specific body area eg. vagina wipes on vaginas, babywipes on babies, and youll find youll get a better result

Not sure if this one has been said it.. but it's a very simple tip. Wash all your damn makeup off! At the end of the night if you see any foundation on your towel after washing your face, you need to wash again. That pore-clogging residue is a main cause of breakouts. A makeup artist told me this a while back and I had never really thought about it before.

Even better, swiping your face with a baby wipe before you cleanse helps with removal.

I went and bought some coconut oil today and that stuff is the shit! It's working wonders on my hair, and is giving my beloved Moroccan Oil a run for its money :)

Do brazilian waxes, they are so beautiful and makes your skin extremely hair less and soft. Also if you shave your bikini, don't use the same blade or razor more than once also, only use one to 2 blade razors because all of that is what creates hair bumps for anyone, but I'm a waxor!! Also, use vaseline under your eyes at night works wonders! And yes lotioning your entire body and using retinol on your hands can keep them looking youngs for years. For your face, make sure you use a good cleanser, toner, moisturizer every day and a mask once a week for great looking skin. Also, use products that made for your skin type. Any questions, I would love to respond. Thanks!8)

Drink a LOT of water.

Is coconut oil safe to use around the eyes and does it remove eye make up well? I swear I've tried every eye-make-up-remover ever and I always wind up having to scrub/wash my eyes 4 times no matter what I use.

^ Yes! Although I prefer grapeseed oil for makeup removal. It's super good for your skin, won't break you out, and conveniently stays in liquid form so you don't have to heat it up when you want to use it.

After work in the shower, I'll massage grapeseed oil into my face (and on my eye makeup). I'll let that steam for awhile while I do other things, and then use some other cleanser (I use a sal. acid cleanser) to remove it all from my face.

Drink a LOT of water.

Girl I'm probably the only person I know that drinks not lots of water but tons of water! lol. I drink prob a little more than half a gallon a day which a half of a gallon a day is what you're suppose to drink anyway. But yes, to anyone else who's having any type of problems with their skin or anything else, should drink more water because a lot of people don't drink enough water. Some people say they don't like the way it tastes, but there's a solution to that also. I honestly love water, I don't drink sodas or anything but water and 100 percent juices like grape juice. :)

Once a month, rinse your hair with about 1/4 cup white vinegar when you go to rinse out conditioner. The mild acidity will strip soap/shampoo residue from your hair that occurs from any product that doesn't get fully washed out and ends up adhering to the hairs. Also, vinegar has mild antifungal properties that will eliminate any minor skin conditions (For example, ringworm goes away in no time at all with a vinegar soak) and allow your hair to grow faster and fuller.

The result is a very high-shine, super soft head of hair that is extremely touchable and very very clean!

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Shampoo Hair
2) Rinse shampoo
3) Apply conditioner
4) Wait 2-3 minutes
5) Before rinsing with water, massage scalp and hair with 1/4 cup of white vinegar. BE CAREFUL NO TO GET IT IN YOUR EYES. It burns!!
6) Rinse thoroughly with water.

If you rinse well enough, you won't smell like a pickle after your hair dries :D

It's totally safe for colored hair! I've had my hair streaked and dyed quite a bit over the years and it doesn't affect the color at all. If anything it might even make the color more radiant since you're stripping off all the gunk that would dull it down.

I DO NOT, however, know if it would affect permed hair at all.
