^^ I almost added that to my post. It's strange to me that I can watch every single human decapitation video and I can watch animals maul and eat each other but I can't bring myself to watch any of the vids of people hurting cute animals like cats and dogs. Weird.

Dude that Sarah McLaughlin commercial for the ASPCA (is that right?) makes me cry my eyes out and squeeze my doggy's big neck EVERY TIME I see it!

Seriously though, it wouldn't surprise me if it were mostly Americans engaging in this sadistic practice.

{Sigh}

1) No proof, not one wit that I could find, supports that statement if you mean U.S. citizens when you say "Americans".

2) It is Americans in truth as everyone who lives on the continents of North, Central or South America is an American. NOT just simply people from the U.S. of A.

[That makes people from Canada and the Central and South American countries nuts when people from the US say that, like they are and everyone else isn't.]

Isn't the torture and killing of animals a way that Jr. serial killers get started? If Americans are participating in this kind of activity, I'd be very, very interested in who they are and where they live.

You are absolutely correct. Cruelty towards animals is the first sign of a serial killer.

I have two little dogs and they are like my babies. I cannot imagine how people can use dogs as bait.

I didn't know that, thanks for letting me know! :) I meant people from the U.S.A. It drives me crazy when people refer to latinos as hispanics!

"Political correctness is intellectual fascism"

Maybe, but what I suggested isn't political correctness. It is simply an acknowledgment of a geographical truth. Anyone from the Americas [North, Central or South] is an American.

In my experience, I have never heard anyone outside of the continental US refer to themselves as an American.

When I said Americans were doing this I mean Americans are going down there and participating in this sport. I did not say here is a video of some bullies from Jersey putting a Golden Retriver out on 120 lb. line. The particular video that this one particular group used could very well be an old video. That is not the point . You're nit picking just to try to discredit what I have said just because you have nothing better to do.

If I started an anti-rasicm activist group and used footage from a 1925 lynching to describe that case in TX a few years back where a black man was lynched and dragged through the streets, until he died, would you post about how wrong I am and that you'd seen the footage before and someone couldn't possibly have been drug through the streets of TX because the footage I had was from another lynching? Even though the TX locals and several media outlets say otherwise? I think not.

Furthermore, don't speculate on what the group's agenda is. I have read the page, you have not.

How is racism and animal cruelty the same thing? Bad comparison, and slightly insulting in my opinion.

I used it an example of atrocity. I didn't mean to imply they were the same thing, just human ugliness, and I was making a point. About activism/ responsibilty.

Instead of tabloiding what I say by taking bits and pieces and "snippiting" it how you like, acknowledge that this is happening. Do something or don't do anything, whatever. Just don't try to invalidate the problem by saying the footage is old when I never made any claim that the footage was shit last week, just that it was attributed to this group.
