i cannot believe this, this is awful. i cannot believe someone is on here defending that a 16 year old should be allowed to strip. I started dancing when I was 18, and I do think it was a bit too young; however, i matured quickly and gained my bearings by the time i got to 19 and a half.
I worked with a girl that was 16, and had a fake id. She was a fucking idiot. She was SO immature, it was ridiculous. She used to talk to customers in baby talk. She was a complete, hot mess. It's one thing if you're legally an adult. I don't think that ANYONE under the age of 18, regardless of culture or whatnot, should be allowed to dance in the US. When I was 16, I might not have thought of myself as a child, but guess what - I was!
Some 16 year olds can be very mature, true. But the vast majority of them are not. The industry we work in is called ADULT entertainment. If you're not an adult, then you shouldn't be working in the industry.

This is shocking! let these naive 16 years old to get taken manipulated by managers, get involved with drugs, pimps who occasionally visit the clubs to recruit and dancers who “play” (the hookers). I understand everybody is different and takes different approach at life or whatever is thrown at them; however most 16 years old would not know how to handle themselves in SCs. I just wish those 16 years old the best of luck in life & hopefully they have their shit together.

what is the kuran? think you must mean the Koran or Quran and it is.
I really hope you're not making fun of my spelling as I'm the first to make fun of my OWN spelling (and am dyslexic btw so really don't care, although I don't like to play that card as it has never hurt me academically).
Are you really trying to tell me that the Koran ADVOCATES putting a woman to death if she lost her virginity by way of rape? Um no! Absolutely not!?!!! Maybe you should do a little research, I can recommend a book called "Princess". It's written by a Saudi Arabian Royal Family member although I can't remember her name as I read it when I was 14. Maybe it will give you a little insight into how women are mistreated/ regarded in other parts of the world.

I don’t think most of you girls know just how bad these clubs are!
They are not strip clubs, I wouldn’t even use brothel to describe them! They are cesspools of filth, violence, drugs and the most vile acts against women imaginable!
The women in these clubs are being abused in every possible way! Now we know its 16 year old CHILDREN who are being abused.
Cheaters is not the only one either, there are several clubs in providence who are not only offering any sexual act you are willing to pay for(old news i guess) but are now also employing 16 year olds.
Balloons is one of the worse who were found to have 16 year olds. They offer full penetration, girl on girl shows on stage!!!!!!!!! Which, in itself is revolting but now there could be 16 year olds are participating in these live porn shows.
MY GOD
These girls are still dancing in these horrible clubs! And no one cares or can do anything about it?! Not even the DIRTY police!
How can this be?
There must be something someone can do!! This is an outrage! Not even a 25 year old WOMAN should be subject to what goes on in these particular clubs, never mind 16.
All these clubs need to be shut down immediately. And the owners should go to jail!
What can we do? Go to the feds? The news? A stupid loophole in the law should not be enough to let these places get away with this!

Just an update, the mayor of Providence passed an "emergency bill" to make it illegal for girls under the age of 18 to work at clubs in the city. There was also some type of agreement signed by the owners of all 13 clubs to not allow underage girls to work there, this is according to my Mom.

^ or THEIR own opinion.
i think you are getting religious laws and laws made by the goverment mixed up(of ourse no one in the USA has ever ever raped a 9 year old that only happens some place in Africa-bolloks!)! you still didnt name a country just some places in africa eh! countries with these religious laws dont have strip clubs - so not sure what your talking about there again, there's a big diferene between at 9 and 16, also i never said it was ok to get raped at 9 so also dont know what your talking abot there again! and countries where children are married off young to older men is often done out of the best intentions as families are often so poor its the only option sad but true otherwise the families wouldnt be ble to survive and their kids would starve to death. still dont know why you brought up child marrige in an argument against 16year old strippers as it has nothing to do with it still i suppose you will try and argue it has everything to do with stripping.
and for the record theres no cok grinding in english clubs ive ever seen its all air dancing and ive travelled around clubs!
Um, I just got back from the Middle East, and yes there are strip clubs there. Girls dressed scantily dancing on stages, giving dances, and getting a commission percentage of drinks they sell, I was in Amman, Jordan.
As far as a nine year old getting raped comment, actually something like that JUST happened in the United States. A nine year old girl got raped by four boys. They are being penalized under the laws here. Do you even know what you're talking about half the time?
The law in RI makes no sense, and I'm sure there will be some political intervention and it will be changed soon. Sixteen is much too young to start dancing, in American culture.

I think this was brought up, because unlike other countries the United States is VERY strict about age limits and protecting underage children. Yes, we consider sixteen years old a child here. Regardless of religion or personal views, one should respect the laws of where he/she is. For the record, I would bet money it is not all air dancing in your club.

Stripper web is becomeing a place for people to argue and let out there pent up frustration.cashing in has a right to her opinion do you really think criticizeing people is gonna change there opinion?16 is not a child,I agree with Cashing in on that,There are mature 16 year olds, and ones that are not, just like 30 year olds there mature ones, and ones who are not.Age is just a number anyways. Why worry about something you cant control or argue about it on stripperweb! You think complaning is gonna change it,think again your just frustrating your selves.I would be a stripper at 16 Im barely 20.Girls these days grow up faster then they use to.They get menstrual cycles earlier. If girls are haveing babys before 18 like most the girls I went to school with. Then they can become strippers as long as the law allows it,my opinion.Go ahead and hate on me,get angry it just makes me laugh, your all nothing to me,just a bunch of strangers with nothing better to do.

^^most of the girls you went to school with had babies before 18?
And motherhood is apparantly the criteria for being able to strip. And if you get a period when you're young, it means that you're also mature enough to strip.
You're right, I am laughing.
An 11 yr old with a period and boobs is no more mature than an 11 yr old without em. That's an extreme example but my point is physical maturity does not equal the kind of maturity we're talking about. Having a baby very young does not mean those girls were mature enough to be doing so. Just because your body can physically create a baby doesn't mean the individual has any business having a kid.
Look, of course you are entitled to have an opinion on this that differs from others. As is Cashing In. Just because you can have an opinion doesn't make it sacred, and doesn't mean other people can't disagree with it. Vehemently. Especially when we're talking about young girls participating in the sex industry.

All I have to say is that I think the thought of a 16 year old stripping is gross.
The other thing is that I thought I knew everything at 18, only to realize as I get older that I don't know shit and it gets worse every year. Funny.

I know, it's really sad. The family of the little girl is siding with the boys who raped her. In their eyes, she dishonored her family by leading them on. Thank God for U.S. laws, those boys need to sit in jail.

There is nothing wrong with criticizing an opinion in a respectful way. What cashing in did was basically tell all of us that we were stupid and uptight about our opinions, when many of us were talking about the LAW, which is not an opinion, but a FACT (which can, with due course, be changed in court if it is decided that it no longer is relevant to current situations/beliefs/whatever).
As for age being an arbitrary number: yes, it is. However, when one applies law, one cannot apply it based on how mature someone is when it comes to certain activities. For example, there are some 13 yr olds who are extremely mature, have responsible sex (or don't have sex), and could probably handle sex work. There are also adults who, at whatever age, could never, ever handle what comes with this job. In the end, the question should be: what is the age at which we should consider most people responsible enough to decide whether or not to have sex with someone 30 yrs older than them? At what point is this likely to have less of a negative, unequal effect on the younger partner? The answer is 18 in the US (for sex with someone more than 2 yrs your senior) because if you're old enough to vote, you're old enough to have a lot of other legal rights that minors don't have, and thus you are at LESS of a disadvantage when with a significantly older person.
I'm not saying that's why the law's in place, I'm saying that's why I agree with the law. I also don't feel comfortable with 9 yr olds fucking anyone, at all. I don't care if 15 or 16 yr olds have sex, but I DO think there should be an age limit on their partners, and I think 2 yrs either way is totally fair. Even a one year difference at that age can yield such a difference in life experiences, if only because of being in different grades.
Everyone develops at a different pace, and I am fine with the age of "anyone" consent is 18.
^^most of the girls you went to school with had babies before 18?

I was also confused by her purely-physical criteria for stripping. I had tits when I was 11 and my period when I was 13. Should I have stripped then? FUCK no. I wanted to have sex then, too, but my mom scared it out of me with some simple logic ("Well, you have to take care of the birth control, and if you get pregnant, you get to make a horrible decision." Yeah, I didn't have sex till I was 17 and had thought about it a DAMNED long time to make sure I was ready for the responsibility of, in my case, getting an abortion, SHOULD I get pregnant.). I'm very glad that I didn't have sex until I was mature enough to grasp the consequences without my mother waving them in my face.

Yes, life experience is important. In the end, however, I also consider following the law important, and the current law says that anyone under the age of 18 cannot do any form of sex work. I don't think age necessarily guarantees a specific amount of experience, but I think one should have the ability to vote before one has the ability to work in a "strip club" (read: RI brothel) that involves fucking men of every age.
