They most likely think dancers and their children are beneath them. I do know they do not have the balls to drive to the section of Queens where sheep embryo injections are available.
I can't write my dealings off my taxes as they can. Don't you love our welfare state?

Excellent point.
We have a group of men who think strippers and their wedlock kids are beneath them; this group is considered real men by Laurcon.

wow, you're so right cyril. first of all, earl definitely meant that the customers look down on their own children and not the stripper's children. and i really care if my customers think they're better than me or not, and not about getting thousands of dollars from them. i'd rather have customers that see me as a real person and totally respect me, but i can barely pay my rent and have to sleep with a old creepy guy with a van who's sleeping with other strippers. secondly, earl is so loving and caring with his stripper friends. i really could only wish to find a guy like him. idk why i would ever think he's the most disgusting PL i've ever encountered, second to you if you actually went into a SC. i was so wrong. thanks for painting the picture for me more clearly cyril. i just hope you post pearls of wisdom like this more often.
that's probably why earl is earl_the_pearl, cause he's one giant pearl of wisdom! oh how we learn from him.

No, you are not the only one. I don't know of many other "businesses" in which the consumer is regarded or referred to as a PL. I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe, an attitude adjustment towards the "custie" might yield better sales ... and treatment.

PL is not just a term for any and all customers. A PL is a term used to describe a customer who is confused about the fantasy aspect of the SC and starts believing that he and a dancer (or multiple dancers) have developed romantic feelings for eachother, and often believes, or outright pushes, for an out of the club relationship to start. They are very much a minority among customers. There's just a couple trolls on this board who have expanded the definition to mean any and all customers.
Actually, PL is not even a term that widely used at all among dancers outside of this forum.

I am new to this forum and thought this would be a good thread to get an idea of what the girls liked and disliked. Now I just figure i'll throw out what I do and let the girls here tell me what I'm doing wrong....
1) When I first get to a club it is usually with friends or business associates so my first priority is opening a tab at the bar and getting business out of the way. So if a girl comes up I usually wait till she introduces herself introduce myself and friends and tell her that we have some business to talk about but could chat with her later.
2) When a girls comes up if she is nice and I find her attractive I usually make small talk for a few minutes and say " it was nice talking with you but I'm not going to be getting any dances tonight and I don't want to prevent you from making money." I have found often times the girls still hang out and if they do I always make it a point to go down to the stage and make sure to tip them a few bucks when they are dancing. I didn't know guys tip girls while they are sitting there making small talk so I always waited till they were dancing.
3) Sometimes I really don't know if I am going to be getting a dance and I say "I honestly don't know if i'm going to be getting a dance later, right now I just got here and need to get a few drinks. If I want a dance I'll flag you down." I do this because sometimes i end up staying longer than expected and will end up getting a dance, I don't want the first girl pissed if I end up getting a dance from another girl I happen to see.
I look at all of it as a business but there is also the fact that it is often a social outing for guys as well. I want to enjoy myself, my guests, the girls, and the drinks without worrying about girls thinking I am a cheapskate. So I try to be as polite as possible while letting them know what my expectations are for spending $$ that night. I don't want to lead a girl on, but I also don't want to be rude and say not interested as soon as the girl walks up to me. The best times I have had at clubs are where I opened a tab with the cocktail waitress had 2-4 friends with me 2-4 girls hanging out with us who knew we weren't getting dances at that time but they were drinking with us going over giving other customers lap dances and coming back partying with us. $500 tabs, no lap dances, but a lot of laughs!
Interesting website BTW, reading these threads has provided me with great entertainment at work lately. Thanks.

man you guys are wimps. i'd laugh so hard if a girl asked why. i'd just laugh and not say anything like she's joking. if she asks why again i'd say "i'm just not that into you". they need to learn how to be a better salesperson.
Well, the goal is to have a flirty good time. So the "why" question makes things uncomfortable. I'm also quite fond of one girl (I know, I know she doesn't like me) and I spend most of my money on her, so most that approach get "no thanks". But I'm not a regular @ SCs, five or six times a year. BTW, I've seen my ATF only 3 times and she remembers me, is that good? Could I be the exception? LOL
FWIW, I go to clubs in Canada, which are quite different from most clubs discussed here. Most on this board would probably not be comfortable with the amount of contact the customer gets at a place like the sundowner. (Not to be confused with seductions, that's not a strip club & "closed for renovations" at the moment.)

depends how much you spend on her. i have a serious face recognition prob that i've had my whole life, i mean like my brain just doesn't do it. well it takes a lot of time. so i've done hours in a champagne room with a guy and got out of the room only to go up to another guy and be like "i had such a great time, blah blah". so personally i can prob recognize about 2 customers of mine. but i usually don't have a problem going into every night fresh. i get guys that come back for me, but i work so irregulalery its hard to catch me again. but most girls are good, esp if you drop a few k on them. :-*
but also, you should tell girls that you are "waiting for someone" then they come up instead of no thanks. that's i think our general favorite answer. either they will help you look for her if you want, or you can say you don't want her help, or for her to wait for you, that she probably wouldn't like it. girls should generally respect that. i just offer to help get her and then say "okay, have a great time!" ;D

Well by the standards I read on this board I'm very poor... I could never spend k on someone. First time, In January, I got two dances, she started working just as I was leaving. Second time, in Feb, I got 8 dances then didn't see her again until last month, I got 5 dances, then I bought her a drink, then she bought us some shots, then she got back to work and I went home.
Perhaps it's weird I like someone so much after only "seeing" her 3 times?

no that sounds cool, and you're not very poor i'm sure. i've just been doing this a long time and work at a great club in a big city. like many other dancers on this board. but i definitely see a pretty fair representation of all income levels among posters. it sounds like this is maybe the type of club where a girl would remember a guy who got 8 dances. sounds like you have a good time with her. i would just continue to enjoy the fun time when you can afford it :footinmou

For how long? Suppose I cut out the Pimp and give the dancer the price of the Dom? Does the dancer have to make quick arraignments with the baby sitter? Look at the bright side the PL may pass out in twenty minutes and away she goes.

When the term "pathetic loser" is applied as it was originally intended it does not reference every customer who spends money in a strip club, only a certain type. Furthermore, the term is used by customers, not dancers. If you actually spend some time reading here you will see dancers continually rejecting the indiscriminate use of the term.
Perhaps a clue adjustment is in order before you start telling dancers how to earn a living...

This post reminds me of my high school biology class where we learned about DNA replication.
A virus captures a bacterial cell and injects its DNA into the the bacterial cell and then hijacks all the DNA strands inside the bacterial cell. Now, the bacterial cell ceases to be bacteria. All those bacterial DNAs become individual viruses. That is in nutshell how viruses reproduce.

I can definitly see how what we do would be lame to the strippers but the cocktail waitress always appreciated our business and tips. And while we were buying a lot of booze none of the guys I hang out with were trying to impress the strippers or take them home. I can see how guys not getting private dances irks entertainers though and will make an effort to avoid clubs when I know it is only going to be a drinkfest. VM said the strippers were only hanging out with him between LDs, so they weren't puttng their time with him before making money. He said that they were "partying" with his group between LDs, not working while with them. I assume that means they drank some of the expensive booze VM paid for, so he paid something. I visit clubs to be entertained and have no issue paying the multiple dancers who do so! From a club (ownership) point of view - Vince's mode of club activity is ideal. From a dancer's point of view - Not so much! I actually believe that in most of the clubs that I go to would prefer and cater to the "Vince-like" customer. Vince might consider devoting some of his bar tab to stage tipping the entertainers who make his visit different than a regular bar visit.

I thought i may have mentioned it but whenever a girl who is drinking or just hanging out with us is on stage I always make it a point to go up to the stage and drop 5-10 bucks at some point. And depending on who happens to be with my group those guys will sometimes get dances as well. None of my post was to gloat or brag it was just offering a different perspective of a customer.
Didn't mean to stirr up a hornets nest, my point is only that there are different kinds of visits to SC's. It is definitly interesting to hear how some of the girls feel about guys that spend money in the club on things other than dances. Then again in any sales job when a customer comes in and goes to a diffent department to spend money the other salespeople are going to be pissed their department didnt' get the sale.

True but that is not PL policy but club owners. PL are cursed at every turn wile club owners are thanked for giving dancers a chance. Alpha male good; beta male bad.
Why is not really at issue here Earl. The system is what it is.
