what i cannot figure if you got a situation where a freebie guy is hanging with one dancer multiple times a week 1/2 hr or hour or whatever on an ongoing basis each month,, that's a alot of time and one would think the regs who are paying the freight wouldd notice or at some point hear about deals like this, then they too might just decide to "stop doing dances" and just buy her a drink and hang with her. Why the hell would they even bother paying, particularly if they are a talk-only regs to begin with?

Again you seem to misunderstand very basic club fundamentals.

A dancer doesn't tell other dancers or her other regs that she sits with a guy for free unless she is complaining about him -- and if you are a guy she would complain about, she won't sit with you for free more than once. If she sits free with you a lot, you can be assured she isn't telling anyone that.

So unless someone is closely observing you 24/7 and sees that no money changes hands, how would they know to even be jealous? They wouldn't.

And yoda is right, high spenders over time are the ones who reallllllly get upset that their money is not having the desired affect. These are the ones to watch for psycho behavior, not Joe Six-Pack.

My highest paying regs are lonely, lonely men that want nothing more than companionship. They're the ones who buy my time out for dances but never have me dance. They're the cuddlers, or the ones that just want to talk in the quiet of the private dance room. Would they say no if I offered to take them to bed? Probably not. But that's not what they're after. Ultimately, they just want to feel wanted. I give that to them. Even though they know they're paying for it, for the time they're with me, they're the most important thing, they get all the attention. I hang on their every word, I tell them everything they want to hear. It isn't always about sex. Sometimes a person just needs to be near another person.
This is the only type of regular I have, and they're awesome. They don't expect an act, they just want someone to spend some time with them and enjoy their company.

There are all sorts of regs out there, but these are the only ones I've been able to maintain, and even so they don't come in too often. Then again, my club's not so great for maintaining regs, and I'm totally OK with that.

Well, fortunately life in the club goes on whether you understand how it works or not. First of all, a guy who is a well spending regular doesn't get to go backwards. If he stops spending he stops getting attention. Also, comparing the few minutes here and there that a no-money or "buy you a drink" guy gets with a dancer between customers to what a guy who spends gets is a bit ridiculous.

my impression waz with this guy on this thread it was way more than a couple of minutes thing here and there, maybe i read it wrong but it any case seems like a good reason to avoid being a reg for any chick, don't get bogged down with certain dancers and keep moving around taking advantage of all the variety!! .

I'm not there to take advantage of anything. I'm in the club several times a week, usually for an hour or so in the afternoon. Any of the girls I am friendly with can come by or not. They'd be foolish to spend much time with me if there's money in the club and trust me, these girls aren't fools. And, by the way, I'm not advocating anybody do anything other than that which works best for them. I used to enjoy being a regular a few years back but that seems like such a long time ago now.

Xdamage states "Sometimes the trip is the exciting part and the arrival a bonus; even if he never arrives he might still enjoy the on-going male<->female sexually charged human interaction"

sort of like Amtrack

This doesn't exist...

I may hang out with a guy for free once, and if he comes back in again I may check in with him for five minutes or so, but if he doesn't spend money you can be sure I won't be wasting my time again.

Some guys REALLY want to speak for half an hour, and that's fine with me, as long as its done in the LD booth or we are visiting the LD booth after that half hour. I don't know any dancer that hangs out with a guy for free on a regular basis. There's a guy that comes in every once and a while and always wants me to sit with him for half an hour or so and just pretend to be his girlfriend. He VERY discreetly slips me a $20 every 5 or 7 minutes because he knows the game and that if staff and managers see me getting slipped $ they're going to be pissed.

Just remind the manager that you are an independent contractor and you will do your job as you see fit. ::)

^That I may do, but be sure he will want some of the action at the end of night.

I actually have to say, in rethinking this, it's a little bit of a 2 way street. They come in and want my company and pay me well for it and in turn I don't have to deal with the drunk idiots who make my life hell. I really can't think of a better business arrangement.
