"Uh, am I in the twilight zone?"

it does seem so, because the question was asked and answered, quite clearly in fact.

I ask because I can't figure out why you would even say such ridiculous nonsense. Are we supposed to be impressed by your old hollywood movie style of kissing? What is the point of keeping it "conventional"? Do you think that we are looking for "romance" with our customers?

^^^ really. when the question is "how to build a better customer, you probably shouldn't bring up the topic of kissing.

if you get lucky and the dancer happens to be into kissing (ok 90% are not) make sure you stay away from French Kissing - its way too sexual. Just appreciate her (often) great beauty and keep it very conventional

Chris says "French kissing is too sexual? Keep it very conventional? Wtf is that even supposed to mean?"

no tongue unless the dancer goes there first, think romance, not sex, kiss them the way you see it done in old Hollywood movies, and make it known, either implicitely or explicitely you appreciate their often extraordinary beauty.

OK, so maybe a few dancers let you get away with this because they want your money. Please don't kid yourself into thinking that it has anything to do with your technique! That may be just about the most presumptuous thing I've read here in quite a while...::)

LOL, no dude, he meant sweatpants...

I haven't worn jeans to a strip club in years. Entirely too uncomfrortable for both me and the lady dancing for me.

I don't really buy into the whole concept of my attire meaning anything when I go to a strip club. I'm not trying to impress anyone or get a date. My wallet and my personality are really all that matter. I spend generously and don't act like an obnoxious twit. I never have any trouble finding female company.

wait whaaaaaa? you wear sweatpants?!? i wonder if there's one stripper on this board who does not abhor sweatpants! /:O

LOL, Well, I wear warm-up pants or casual slacks. No jeans. I am well aware of the feelings that most dancers have about "sweat pants" and, having seen the guys who show up wearing them and how they act, I understand where the attitude comes from. That's not me however. I wear what I wear, I always present myself as neat, shaven, showered and respectable, and, as I said previously, I never have any trouble finding company. If there are dancers who are ignoring me because I show up wearing comfortable cloths I can live with that. I have multiple favs in multiple clubs and not one of them has ever commented on my attire. Yes, I wear shorts in the warm weather as well...:)

BTW, I know of several strippers on this board who could care less about what guys wear. They read the threads about "sweat pants boner man" and we laugh our asses off talking about it while I am spending money on them at their clubs. The vast majority of dancers on this site spend a lot of time reading and very little time posting.

that's lame. makes me feel like i should post less.
i'm just very unused to sweatpants because they're not allowed in my club, or gym shorts. and when i worked where they were, i didn't give dances. plus i've never really seen a guy wear sweatpants on the street.
i'm glad you guys are laughing at us though. thanks.

I'm certainly not trying to suggest that you or anyone should post less. I am merely pointing out an often forgotten fact that is a reality on many boards. Not everyone who reads chooses to contribute or get involved in topics that are not important to them. I know several women who are members here and they spend most of their time reading in hustle hut and other sections that are helpful to them.

A lot of what we all talk about here varies by region. I honestly have never been turned away from any club due to the attire that I was wearing. Admittedly the Boston and Providence areas may not have a lot of upscale clubs but they are, for the most part, not dive bars either. This fact may also effect what dancers in my neck of the woods are used to seeing and dealing with. I wear comfortable clothing to strip clubs. I am not sitting there with a hard-on poking through my pants waiting for a dancer to rub on it. That is a stereotype and, in it's own way, no better than the stereotypes that a lot of customers toss around about dancers...

As for the laughter, it's more of a head-scratching "why do they even care what guys wear as long as they are spending money" guffaw...just to be clear...

One can not be a better customer to all dancers and one should not try to be. Being a customer is enough for the owner.

Well, that would mean something if the name of this board was "owner web" but it's not...

That being said, the premise of this thread makes for good chat board fodder but that's about it. It's pretty clear that spending, hygiene, behavior and even wardrobe all play into it in varying degrees. What is also clear to me as a customer of well over 25 years is that, in spite of what gets written on this board and others, most dancers are smart enough to take a look around the room and figure out where the money. Some nights it might even be tucked into the pocket of a guy wearing casual, non-structured, comfortable attire...;)

Sorry I forgot my place.

It is EZ to build a better customer; he should walk in open his wallet and let the dancers take it all then quietly leave. It doesn't matter what he looks like, smells like or what color his sweatpants are.

Do any dancers disagree?

Actually, I made no reference to pants at all. I was talking about shirts.

When I go to the club, it's always slacks, khakis, chinos, etc. I'll even wear jeans that have been worn in and washed with fabric softener on occasion. I have yet to venture into a club wearing sweatpants or shorts... or cargo... or corduroy... or leather...

Obviously anyone in any business who's tying to make money would be thrilled with such a situation, but since that never happens to dancers or anyone else, it's a pretty pointless (and typically whiney) thing for you to say.

Given that in reality, we do actually have to spend time with people, it's nice when they're polite, not hideous, and don't smell.
