I would like to chime in.
Let me start off with a request. Please do not pressure Hopper for any personal information he does not feel comfortable revealing. I have revealed tons of information about myself and I wish I had not done that. It is just not a good idea for various reasons. ...imaginary information is irrelevant to your claim.
I call a classic case of disconnect between PLs and strippers. Project Dream Girls attempted to answer some of these quandaries. ...PDG did a fine job of illustrating the disconnect between a PL and reality. I'll agree with you on that.
I think clubs should do a better job at screening girls from beauty angle. Once again importance of through screening was pointed out in the Project Dream Girls....its not important because you alone imagine it. Kinda like you loving strippers then imagining you know how they think. Cyril could you do me a favor and imagine you are GOD this morning. I'm curious if he is having Coco Puffs or Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast.
It is a simple problem of process engineering.
Both items #1 and #2 can be solved by conducting a survey consisting of two questions:
1. Gentlemen, do you prefer short or long stage show?
2. What is your type as far as a woman is concerned?
Club owners should make the business decision based on their client base....the process would fail because, for one, its application has not been shown adaptable to variables in real life. In other words, its an imaginary solution. Diversity makes this "simple problem" unsolvable with simple questions.

Question (1) would be easy to survery. I wouldn't be able to answer question (2) - I prefer to be surprised. The things I like about women don't fit into general types of woman.

Agree with Elvia on this. It's something the market should sort out. One person can't decide what beautiful is for everyone else. The really unattractive ones would be screened out automatically by failing to make money.
I know that some types of girl I like are not universally liked. I would hate to miss out because of some official standard. I don't even watch Miss Universe contests any more - those girls bore me.
That is a one approach and a plausible one nevertheless.
However I subscribe to a notion that the club management has a responsibility to determine what kind of audience they are catering to. And, then they have to focus on that particular audience.
If majority of audience wants shorter dances and Caucasian dancers then so be it. If majority of audience wants longer dances and ethnic dancers then so be it.

I think I would be able to handle the survey. The harder part is getting myself to the club.
I understand that it is difficult to describe your type of woman in words but we can make a good attempt.
Example:
- Tall
- Slim
- Orange sized boobs
- Not too fair
- Not too dark
- Dark hair
- Almond shaped eyes
- Brown eyes
- Etc.
If there is a will there is way. :D

You are very naive when it comes to applicability of ideas. A solution is first envisioned (which comes from your imagination) then you take it to the drawing board. Only after that, it is implemented.
I just wanted to say "Bye" before I step out of this soon to be derailed thread...

I'm going on what they have told me personally in clubs and what dancers working in my town have said at these forums. I realise not all dancers make this much, but obviously some do, which must say something about the ones who don't. Either they are not liked by enough customers, they don't hustle, or are doing something wrong.
or are not giving extras.
some nights i make $0, some nights i make a few grand. i do work at a club where the stage isn't really tipped. and honestly, most girls won't really pick up a $1 if its on stage. so i do understand that. but it goes back to we gave you the answers of why stage sets are "so long", there's nothing else to discuss. the OP is in the minority so nothing is really going to change.

“Every age, every culture, every custom and tradition has its own character, its own weakness and its own strength, its beauties and cruelties; it accepts certain sufferings as matters of course, puts up patiently with certain evils. Human life is reduced to real suffering, to hell, only when two ages, two cultures and religions overlap.”

I love Herman Hesse!! I don't think that quote applies here, but he writes to beautifully.

Of course it applies here - when two cultures belonging to PLs and strippers overlap, we have suffering.

If majority of audience wants shorter dances and Caucasian dancers then so be it. If majority of audience wants longer dances and ethnic dancers then so be it.
Concerning types of dancers, perhaps it goes both ways. On one hand, the type of dancers who work at the club will be sorted out by what customers pay for. On the other hand, the type of dancers in the club will determine which customers go to the club.
So one way the other patrons are determining what girls I get to see, and the other way management are determining what girls I see. If I am in a minority, neither care what kind of girls I like.

Whether or not I like a girl does not depend on any of those things. Girls of all shapes, sizes, complexion etc. can appeal to me. Some guys go for "tall blondes" or some other type, but for me it depends on other qualities (physical or personality) which any type of girl may have.

The girls here who described their incomes also said they never give extras. A good dancer shouldn't have to to make good money at the rate of $150 - $200 an hour or greater.
Nothing wrong with some interesting tangents.
I need to ask the people at the clubs why they do it. I expected that it would be the same in many clubs other regions. I knew when I posted this thread that it would not change the policy; but why be frustrated and not at least know why?

I'm curious as to why you haven't considered this reason, though it's been mentioned: the shorter the stage songs, the shorter the lap dances. Unless we're talking about some club where they play different music in the private dance area? But I've never heard of such a thing.

whaaaat? first, what girls have described their incomes here? seriously i'd love to see the threads. i've been through the "best night ever" thread, but that's your best night ever and they still weren't super high to me. so i really don't get what you're saying, and what you're basing this on. and also, huh? a good dancer doesn't have to, but you were saying if a girl isn't a top earner every night she sucks at life. i was only saying that there is another reason that some girls don't make as much money as other girls!

Set rates for set times. e.g. 20 min. = $90, 30 min. = $120, 60min.= $180, or something like that - I forget actual prices and they vary between clubs. Dancers wear watches or LD supervisor watches times.
What are the prices in clubs you go to?

I won't say which girls since the posts will tell you where their clubs are. They were discussing which clubs were best to work at and of course their takings came up. It was around $1000 per week, more or less depending on effort. I recall one girl telling me about 10 years ago she made about $1200 a week. (It's not a question I often ask, but I was probably extra cocky that night).
All I said was that a dancer who makes less must either not be liked, doesn't hustle or does something wrong. She could be great at other things.

I've worked at a club where they do that. Lapdance room has recorded music. It was cool because they could play slow jams for the private dances, and energetic music in the other room, for the stage shows.
I always thought, if I had a club to run, I would certainly do that.

Strange logic. You "know" I'm in Australia because what you know about SCs there matches what I said, and somehow at the same time you have learnt something new about them from what I said.
What is it about "I don't want anyone to know what country I am in" that automatically makes you all want to reveal to everyone what country I am in?

We are NOT IN A CLUB.
You are NOT PAYING US.
Therefore, we are not going to act like a stripper would towards a (potentially) paying customer. Your threats of withholding money won't work, because there was never any chance of a financial exchange to begin with. This is a message forum on the internet.

Thank you Jesus, I already understood all of that.
People also don't normally say on message forums that they "couldn't care less" about another poster out of the blue like that. So I assumed that she was expressing the general stripper attitude. I was saying that if that is the general stripper attitude toward customers then why do you complain that we are not generous enough with our money? Why should we care about you?
I pay only for what I genuinely want and only as much of it as I want. So there is no money on top of that for me to with-hold.
hopper, if you only tip the girls you like, but watch others (most) naked for free for 15 mins, and possibly get 1 or 2 LD's, then yeah we consider that cheap...

What, so your special subject on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" would be "the obvious"? My Dr. Livingstone joke was not meant to imply that any of you actually want to find me, it was about all the guesses you are making about it - which is a little bit like caring in one sense BTW. It was a joke!
I don't know why dancers here feel the need to periodically tell us they don't care about us. Generally no-one at any forum actually cares about other people on it, but they don't tell everyone in their posts. Is it because you think we care that you don't care about us?
