^^^ Thanks hun! Yay!
I need to make a shorter one but I've been so busy this last week I havent had a chance to do ANYTHING with work [major fail] and now my apt is a wreck on top of it so I have to take care of that too before I even feel ready to take it on again. I'm a perfectionist, if somethings worth doing its worth doing right!

Anytime :)
Just a note for anyone interested.. I was doing some more research today and after looking at CamWhores.com's terms.. this may not be for everyone. You sign over the rights to your content and it gives them free reign to archive and sell your material, watermark it, etc..! Just something to consider.

CamWhores will remove all of your pics, vids, etc. whenever you decide to leave the site. They are very awesome. Every single cam site says in their contract that they have the right to own your content, sell it, etc. It's standard. CamWhores is different. They don't sell your content and they will remove it from their site once you leave.

Correct. They remove EVERYTHING when you leave OR if you ask them to. When you broadcast a live show you have the option of getting paid an extra $15 (ontop of the $50 they pay for the show) to have your show PERMANENTLY on the site.

There are independent host sites that allow you to keep your ownership rights.. CamWhores says explicitly they can sell your content. It's great that they remove it from live page views but they keep your archives for paying members if I understand the terms correctly.
Thank you for the info Malaya!!
p.s. I hope I don't sound too serious or harsh, I don't want to ruffle feathers, just sharing what I found!!

No problem. However I've been on the site for 2 years now. It's no longer owned by stile. Kevin runs the site now and they do not sell your pictures/shows and Yes they do remove your content when you leave. I know girls that have left and are no longer in the archives for paying members so you're wrong.

Thank goodness.. ;D
and you know I didn't mean to sound mean if I did. I understand where you are coming from totally. I would suggest everyone read the terms and conditions on whatever site they plan on working on before actually signing. As far as my images being out there.. I don't care too much but know most of yall do. Hell I might be missing something.. Thanks for the heads up jade.

Nope I read you right :) I'm trying to loosen up on some of these ideas.. everything that comes with the business, like you and others have said! Thanks again for the correct info! If I can get the money together for a camera this week I plan on signing up on the indie sites ASAP ;D

I've noticed some girls asking where to advertise, I didn't see anyone mention craigslist or backpage. Backpage has a section for webcams & phone sex and they charge differently for different cities but the fees are not alot like $1 in most cities. Craigslist is $10 for a new ad in adult section and $5 for every time you repost it, however the ads are reviewed and you can only put 1 pic in the post. Craigslist is sooo very popular. Last yr before they did the review proccess they charged only $5 I was getting about 1000 visitors per day to my affiliate cam site with about 5 posts in 5 diff cities, made some good money there. When they changed to doing reviews it was pretty close to impossible to get cam ads approved, but I see them all over the place now. I had stopped doing the afiliate and concentrated on my posting business because you can't put links or website addresses in the ad/pic and I don't have the time or patience to email/chat with the replies to get them to go to my site.
I think it is much better there for girls who are indy to do cam ads because of that. Those two sites are also good for phone sex ads. If anyone is interested in getting posted on craigslist I can help. I can even do your reposts for under $5 in the adult section. This applies only to craigslist adult section, not backpage.

You've been a member since 06 and you're just now posting this.. Eh extremely fishy. I think the girls here would rather post their own ads.. just fyi.

Hey all:)
I just went indie within the last week & I'm feeling very overwhelmed. I am still keeping my accounts on livejasmin, camcontacts, and MFC just for back-up. How do you girls convert from the big sites to arranging all your own shows? And collecting your own payments? Etc... I am getting a fairly good amount of interested guys BUT I am not closing any sales...I don't understand why? I have read all the posts on Indie camming & I know others are probably going through the same feelings.....Any more help or info?? Thanks so much for your time:)

Dunno where this should be posted, but I fig here is as good as anywhere. Ecampay takes friggin' 25% of our earnings?!?!?! WTF?!?!? Isn't that kinda alot?
Isn't there any equivalent places to do business with, & them not take 1/4 of our money. This is almost as bad as working for regular camsites :( I'm not too happy.....

Really? Regular cam site you receive 25-35%......ecampay you receive 75% thats double babe
Plus, theres no cb's so youre gaurenteed to get the money. If you dont think thats a big deal check out the other thread on top about imlives chargebacks this week.
And they can send you a check every monday or you can deposit it into your eppassporte instantly for only ONE DOLLAR. The big sites charge a 2-5 dollar fee to deposit money into epassporte.
