Yea i need to kickstart my weightloss. Although i havent gained what i lost, i have completely stopped losing down to me not watching what i eat and doing any exercise so i have only myself to blame.
I would be very happy to lose at least another stone this year which is very possible if i work on it like i had.
I will start my calorie counting and regular workouts on monday!

I've kept up w/ work outs (mostly weights w/ some short spurts of jumping rope).
Yesterday I did an hour of cardio at the gym, worked my flexibility, did squats on a balancing dome w/ weights and a bunch of core stuff and push ups (using the dome). I'm gearing up for a four day snowboard trip on Thursday, so I need to be strong, flexiblle and healthy.
Had a great NYE! At one party there was a bon fire in the drive way and we all wrote negative stuff that happened in '09 or in the last decade on paper to be burned. Then we wrote our positive goals on our '10 paper and burned to illuminate. We were all in a circle under the blue moon and held hands to give energy.
I'm way hung over but got to eat some great food and very high end bubbly and sing a Nirvana song, solo for keroke and get applauded:)
Sorry for the thread jack but I think last night will help cement my goals.

Update:
I'm now finished week 4 of not eating sugar, yeast, and most dairy. No alcohol or caffeine.
As a side note I am also intolerant to tomato, capsicum(peppers), eggplant and potato so I almost never eat these foods anyways. They result in horrible stomach aches that last 2-3 days.
Height: 5'7"
Start weight: 126lbs
Current weight: 112lbs
I cut back massively on my workouts so I do not lose too much. I used to do at least 5 classes a week at the gym. The past 4 weeks I've only gone 1-2 times a week. Just enough to maintain my muscle tone.
I have had 3 or 4 days where I messed up, including yesterday NYD where I allowed myself to eat whatever I want. I ate friggin pizza and now have a massive stomach ache due to the tomato sauce. I am stupid! Doh! Owie!
I'm continuing until the end of January with the strict change in eating habits. I've decided that I definitely feel better eating the way I eat now and it is much easier than exercising excessively to maintain, so I'm going to continue with no sugar indefinitely (except occasional alcohol and small amounts of sugar found in some foods). I will eventually start to allow yeast so that I can eat whole grain breads and I will also allow dairy later so I can enjoy cheese. I'll also eventually eat all fruits and allow an occasional cheat day.
As a side note. I had 3 people I do not know approach me on NYE an tell me I have an "amazing figure". LOL I just joked back "Ya, kinda like a 10-year-old boy, eh?". I don't have much boobage left now, but luckily they are still a nice lil perky shape.
Hi ladies. I'm joining in a little late. I haven't really been on here in a really long time. I am now up to 138, from 108 2 1/2 yrs ago due to some thyroid issues. I actually have hypEr, but have gained because my eating is incredibly out of control- the hyperthyroidism has made my appetite grow to an insane amount of food, and waiters, men, random people have begun to comment about how much i eat. So, I'm trying to cut it out. I ned to learn to deal with hunger.
Anyway, I'm glad to be back and be a pat of this thread. Now I'm going to go watch a movie. Later.

Is it a planet fitness by any chance?
I joined one with the above perks...two months later, that $10/month rate disappeared, and it was jacked up to $75 a month with no notice to me. And canceling was insane...it's no contract, but they keep billing until you cancel, which is an extremely complicated process.

Since last Saturday, I did an hour of cardio and heavy stretching w/ some core work, Sunday I worked at my stage club and stayed and extra 2 hours because there was only 1 girl on shift, so I got a LOT of dancing and pole work in, Monday I did interval cardio for 50 mins. , stretching , lifting w/ lower body and core work, yesterday I got up and made an 8AM yoga class and did a 1/2 hour of cardio and worked at my stage club again and today I did over-all lifting w/ free weights. Was going to work tonight but am leaving for 4 days of snowboarding! Yay! (I felt like I had a bit of a cold coming on and it was getting late so I decided not to work. But I won't have as much $$ to spend while on the mountain, but health is important).
I feel a LOT stronger but I can't tell if I have lost inches or not because my body is still adjusting to a BC that I am on. Today my waist was really small and you could see my definition, but Sunday I was bloated as hell, looked like I had a pooch and was cramping. So, when my body realizes that it has to make peace w/ the BC, maybe then I can monitor results.
(Sorry so long)

I can't wait to start buying healthier foods once I have the money! Once I start stripping I really want to use a lot of that to help me get in better shape for my stage routines (I want to incorporate some nice floorwork and polework inbetween the sexy dances). My metabolism won't slow down until my 30's, I'm assuming, so I can't GAIN weight to save my life. I started working out 2 months ago becuse I am so out of shape. I knew there'd be no way I could even dance around for an entire song the shape I was in.
I'm 125 atm but I would definitely like to be 130 with the extra 5 being toned muscle. :)

Today I have done really well with my eating, watching portions and what not. But I doubt I will do an excercising at all. I shoveled the snow, which half of was frozen to the ground so I was out there for 40 minutes already. Then I just went through all of our stuff packed away in the basement here and I couldn't locate what I was looking for because my back decided...no more. So I feel a tad worn out from all of that so far. I'm good for the day.

went for my yearly physical today and found out i've gained 15 freakin' pounds! I know it's due to being less active than normal for the past few months (november i broke my arm, december i had my traditional holiday pneumonia) but still...i had no idea! Yeah my pants felt a little tighter around the waist but geez. Other than the occasional chinese buffet i normally have good eating habits, time to get off my ass! Slogged around in the snow today so that's a start...

I just started doing the 30 day shred video again. its been 11 months since I've looked at it. The first time I did it I was on a row for about a week and quit. This time around I'm sticking to it!!!! I'm on day 3 and have started keeping a food journal. The journal is a good way to keep me eating healthy b/c I don't wanna write that I've been eating junk it to it. :) I'm 5'5 and at 150 I wanna be at 115-120. I'd post pics but I'm just going to wait till I can take my hello pics to post!!! Good luck to all!;)

I finally got to the gym last night, after maybe two or three weeks of virtually no exercise. I didn't even work for two weeks cause I was sick over the holidays. But OH MY GOD I felt so much better after a workout and sitting in the sauna for awhile. Every time I'm there, I wonder why I don't go more often. But then when I'm home, and there's a few feet of snow on the ground and I have to get all bundled up and clean the snow off my car to go...well...then I remember.

I have that dvd too, but I gave up on it after using it for like 3 days. I liked it except for that fact that I can't skip Jillian's little pep talk before the options screen.
Well, I've been out running @ night, in the cold for 3 days now. My eating has been good too. 3 days w/out diet pop has done wonders for my stomach- it's much less bloated.:)

I usually take the time to get my weights and put my hair up during Jillian's little talk. I hate that part too.... I just wish I could shut her up and get on with the ass kicking she's gonna give me LOL. I've actually started to see some weight lost in my first week so I'm gonna try and stick to it. I cheated yesterday on the whole diet thing but I'm gonna do a double workout today as a punishment. hahaha
I busted my ass on the treadmill last night. I did an hour with the incline between 6 and 15, alternating the speeds between 3.5 and 5.0 every few minutes (every other song on my Ipod!)
I want to say thank you to Will for all the great fitness advice, I've been talking to him on Skype, he really knows his stuff! My workout week goes something like this: one day of HIIT (at least 20-45 minutes), one day of nothing but an hour of cardio, and the other three days of a cardio warm up followed by weights. I LOVE lifting weights! I like the seated leg press, I do 15 reps with my toes pointed outwards, and my heels pointed inwards at 165 lbs, then put my feet a few inches apart and straight up and down in front of me and do another fifteen reps at that weight. I then go across the entire room doing lunges, but pulsing down three times before I get up and lunge the other leg. THEN, I go back and do the two sets of 15 reps, but at a higher weight. I repeat this cycle three times, and at the end my legs are shaking, burning, and I feel acid coming up my throat. I love the feeling of completely exhausting my muscles.
I do something similar with my abs involving ten lb weights. As for diet, yesterday I ate a huge salad for lunch (I usually wake up too late for breakfast) with grilled meat on it and an herb vinaigrette, ate some tuna mixed with Veganaise, hot sauce, and veggies a few hours later, then did my workout a few hours after that.
For some reason, I get hungry after I work out, but a different kind of hungry. It's not the stomach growling empty feeling, it's more like my body saying, "Feed me! I need nourishment! I'm exhausted!" I can't explain it. So after my workout I ate a grilled ostrich patty with a salad with salsa as the dressing. I've almost totally cut out my dairy intake, and haven't had any diet sodas or caffein. I'm chugging down at least 4 liters of water, and one huge pitcher of Jillian Michaels cranberry lemon diet tea every day. HUGE cut back on my alcohol intake as well.
I am trying to do the 30 day shred in the mornings or early afternoons before I actually go kill myself in the gym. Hopefully I'll get some drastic results here in the next couple weeks. I'm documenting the entire thing with photos every few days.
Just ate my breakfast: three organic egg whites, one egg yolk, two huge handfuls of organic baby spinach, wilted for a few minutes with some olive oil, and one can of albacore tuna. It's like a super protein omelette!
JD if you ever get a chance, get blood lactate and vo2 tested. This will pinpoint your aerobic threshold, which lets you basically target your ideal fat burning heart rate so you can effectively stay in your fat burning zone. More info at http://physicalprep.ca/fitness-training/6-blood-lactate-analysis.html
Also wanted to say this, I am getting complete blood work done on February 2 in Dallas here: http://healthcoreweb.com/ It's a group of Internal Medicine Doctors that specialize in preventative care and overall health.
I will ask for this test, but I know they checking my thyroid, hormone levels, CBC, basically EVERYTHING! It's costing me around $600, but I've been wanting to get this done for a while.

I'm sure you know this, but make sure you're careful about eating protein. It takes a lot of effort for your kidneys to process protein...so if you're going to eat a ton of it, make sure you're well-hydrated!

Agreed. I am actually allergic to some proteins so I can take even less. It is great for you but your body treally can only take so much. I kept drinking though Special K waters with protein in them and they are great, but I learned I can only have one a day...it was a bad mess. I felt so sick.

No, I wasn't aware of that, thanks! I actually do drink at least 4 liters of filtered water per day, and coconut water (which is the most hydrating thing you can possibly drink).

01-15-2010, 02:55 PM
coconut water.. sounds interesting and delicious.. can i get that at the health food store??
^^^^ Whole Foods. O.N.E. brand is what I drink, but what's best is if you go to the fruit section, and get one of those shaved cone looking young coconuts, and have them poke a hole in it and drink it really fresh like that, but you have to drink it fast, once it touches the air it changes.

I've also read that celery is four times more hydrating than water. It's also a source of organic sodium, however...so I'm not sure how the dehydrating effects of the sodium works with the hydrating effects. Shrugs.
I usually add a bunch to my vegetable juices for the hell of it (I have a juicer...it ROCKS).

I had a good week. I snowboarded for 3 days, at least 5 hours each day, ate and drank as much as I wanted and came back a 1/2 lb. lighter.
I have a photo shoot tomorrow, so I've been quite focused this week: Monday an hour of cardio and intense stretching and some core work, Tues. weights, only time for 15 mins. of cardio and danced at my stage club that night. I drank only 1 corona light. (trust me, the night sucked, I was tempted to drink more, but stuck to my rules), Wed. interval cardio, intense stretching and worked that nite w/ 2 stages sets. Yesterday, I woke up injured on my upper right part of my shoulder and lower tricep, so nothing. Plus I got a spray tan, so I couldn't do anything. Today, I did weights, stretching and 1/2 hr. cardio and felt great.....until right before i left the gym, it turns out, I have food poisoning:'(
I kept trying to eat, well, anything and finally managed to keep some saltines down. I just hope this goes away (cramping and everything) for my shoot tomorrow.
But in spite of everything, I've been sticking to my rules so far.
I'm glad to hear of the progress you're all making:)

<3 this thread! a little about me:
I am 5'4" and tipped the scales at 200lbs, then I discovered pole dancing on youtube and bought an xpole and dropped over 30lbs! Now I am trying to get off those last few inches and pounds off so I can at least get started on my dream of stripping. I started at like 200lbs 44-43-44 or something around that and currently i am at 39-36-41 at 168lbs b/w/h. I really want to get rid of my gut! I do a ton of situps/v-ups/jack knives every day (over 1000 all put together) and use http://caloriecount.about.com/ to keep track of what im eating. I also use Wii Fit to weigh myself everyday, its really motivating to see your weight plummet on the cool little scale it has. I want to be at least 150lbs and have at least a 30in waist before I audition, id have alot more weight to lose but at least I wont be as fat anymore and might get hired. I aim to lose at least 2lbs a week! So far so good!

I'm glad to hear of the progress you're all making:)
So, I did the shoot yesterday. I hadn't seen the photographer since August. He said I looked 'prettier' and asked if I lost weight and commented on my muscle tone. So, the work has been paying off.
However......during the last 2 mins of the shoot, I crashed. Fell off the pole and hit the right side of my head on a hard wood floor. Had to go to ER and slightly twisted my right ankle as well. I HAVE ONLY FALLEN ONCE IN 12 YEARS>:(
I'm ok, no cracked head or brain damage.
So, what does this have to do with this thread. I am so NOT feeling like working out today. I was going to go to work, but it hurts when i flex my right foot. My head still feels raw. So...I had ice cream last night, a shot of vodka, my man made blue berry pancakes (fresh blue berries) this morning in which I drenched w/ butter and syrup, and I've had 2 pieces of veggie pizza.
The good news: I'm full and don't feel like eating. The bad news: I'm mad at myself even though I really shouldn't be. I guess one day of couch potato re-cooperation is Ok, right? (I'm trying to convince myself)
(sorry long again)
