I think ifriends still pays 50% but with no chargeback protection, no matter if you work just their site or others. You can choose a lower percentage (I want to say 35% but not sure about it) and your earnings are protected from chargeback. I don't work there but that's how it was when I looked into them a while back. If it's changed, I have no idea.

On Cams.com there are chargebacks. They have a long, confusing write up about it in the help section, which is the closest thing to baffling with bs you'll ever come across. To me they're saying they do chargebacks, but immediately, so you won't get hit with one 2 months later so you know how much you earn at any time - isn't that great! You could lose it all, but the benefit is that you know quickly instead of waiting until you've spent it 2 months later.

Come of to think, they have long explanations to explain everything as they make everything complicated. They have a system where you take a pay percentage cut to be displayed higher up on their site.... from 45% down to 15% for maximum exposure. Let's put that into real figures.

Normal payout = 29.25% (45% of 65%)
Lowest payout to get the best positioning = 9.75% (15% of 65%)

Seriously? Are there models out there who will work for 9.75% just to be on the front page....oh, yeah... I should mention.. you get a special listing in red if you decide to work for 19.5% or less (30% of 65%).

What were these guys were smoking when they dreamt this up? Talk about being out of touch with the job and how hard it is.

Another thing which may interest prospective Cams.com models. They record random videos (or all, I'm not sure) of your privates and post them up so members can pay to see them. It's 4.99 to watch the whole video or 0.99 per minute. You have no say in what they record and post on your profile. I don't like this feature. They should allow us to decide if we want to post videos or not. Although they will produce a passive income, I feel they can reduce your private income because many members will be quite happy just to watch a video at a 1/3 to 1/4 of your private rate.

Cams.com is looking more and more like a head-fuck rather than a money maker to me. I've made a massive $6.50 so far and can't be bothered logging in to make up the $50 I need for the minimum payout.

Webcams.com didn't want me. I'm giving Cams.com a miss too.

I love SW if it wasn't for you ladies and all this wonderful info I would probably be crying right now. Going to try signing up with cams.com (and I'm glad to know that the steamray link isn't a studio I was so skeptical) since SM is dead for me until I can remake a new account. <3 Lovely lovely ladies, ty ty ty.

I've been on cams.com a while now and I've had less than 10 chargebacks in over 2 years... probably more like less than 5. It's been pretty much non noticeable, so while they do hit you with chargebacks it's been my experience that guys don't really charge back that often.

Also, you can go into your profile and delete all the videos they record if you want. I haven't found that it decreases the amount of privates I get because for one, they have to pay each time they view it's not like they pay once and can download it, and also my private income is WAY higher than my video income. I hardly get any video income really. I don't think it's a feature that guys take advantage of very often, honestly.

I don't recommend lowering your percentage to get higher placement. It doesn't raise you up THAT much and if you are staying busy on the site your placement will go up anyway.

I don't use it as a main site, it might be hard to use as a main income, but I do really really love it for split camming.

^^ Thanks for the info. I wonder if you could answer a question I've yet to get an answer for from customer service.

I noticed on my sales list that all my privates (not many yet) were showing increments of full minutes (1, 2, 4 etc). Don't they pay in second increments? If you do say 45 seconds, do you get paid? If you do 1.5 minutes, do you only get paid for a minute? I had 2 voyeur sessions showing 2 minutes each but my income was only $0.30 for each of them. I charge $1.99 for voyeur, so it should have been double what they gave me.

If the guy enters private, nude, or voyeur for less than a minute they are charged the full minute. Even if they pop in for 2 seconds they are charged and you earn the full minute worth. After the first minute they go by exactly how long the guy was in private, but they only show it as full minutes, so if they were in for 3 minutes and 30 seconds, it would only show 3 minutes even though it would credit you for the entire 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

For instance I show a guy in private for 3 minutes, but the income shown is for almost 4 minutes. They don't show 4 minutes as the length until he has passed 4 minutes in private. Hopefully that makes sense?

^^ yes, that does make sense and it's better than I expected....

Strange thing though - my only 2 party shows are 2 and 4 minutes and both are showing exactly 2 and 4 minutes pay using 29.25%. Coincidence?

Hmm... could be? I'm not really sure, I haven't paid that close attention but I will now...

^^ I'm trying to get answers from customer support but it's like trying to extract teeth from hens. They totally side stepped my questions and gave me the long spiel about the pay percentage system, which I already have and even posted in this thread. I've just sent them another email asking them to read my first email, the questions they have not yet answered. They're probably going to get tired of my persistent questions, but I would really like to know all the answers before I invest too much time on the site.

I specifically asked them how I'm paid for a 90 second private.

They have a model support number and a live chat, if you click on "help" at the top it should show on the left side. I've never tried either of them but they might be quicker at replying with an actual answer than email?

^^ I got my 2nd email from them in a week, basically saying the same thing:

"Dear Model,

Thank you for your e-mail.

Our Programming Department has been notified of the issue and will look into this matter as soon as possible."

The live support guys just refer me to "email customer support" when anything gets too technical.

Hopefully I'll get an answer soon. This is actually very important information which should have been made clear in the manual. That's why I have a lousy feeling about this - that they could be making extra money out of us with a less than honest payment system. Showing payment in full minute increments just isn't right. On most sites earnings are indicated in seconds.

I hope I'm wrong, but it's not easy to trust people in this business.
