View Full Version : Am I Skinny???!!!
Yes I've been asked to model in a fitness calendar but I need to be a bit more defined. So I am on a strict training regime atm - 3 days per week weights training, 6 days per week cardio. Also dieting very strictly atm. Can't wait til the abs show up!
Are you dropping fat and retaining LBM and checking that via an objective measurement such as calipers? That much aerobics can be hard on the LBM.

No I haven't done any measuring yet. I'm training with a professional body builder who is amazing herself. She wants me to do this much cardio to get leaner quicker coz I have to within a month for this calendar. Then we will prob cut back on cardio. She doesn't do much cardio herself. I can already see results. So excited!!

If she's an IFBB pro, she may know who I am. I hope you will send me copy of this fine calender...

No she competes with the naturals. But one of my close friends competes with Australian IFBB his name is Ange Galati. He is also a benching champion.

Jaizaine a no sugar diet gave me these abs in 2 weeks... I prob do less than 100 sit ups a week. It was all the diet. One point in my life I was doing 600 a day and my abs looked nothing like this.

Many make the mistake of thinking the reason they can't see their abs is due to not enough ab work when, as you say, diet/bodyfat, is what really what shows the abs. Genetics do also. Like any bodypart, some people simply have better ab muscles and or less BF in that area. Even at 7%, my abs didn't show for damn, but I know guys as high as 14% who still have some abs.

Will I used to be the biggest gym junkie. I was at the gym 6x a week for minimum 2 hours. I have never seen definition like I have atm. I haven't even gone to the gym for 2 weeks ...ops. Need get back there. But both my husband and I drastically changed our diets and the results are amazing. I wish he would let me show people his b4 pics because he looks amazing but he is too embarassed haha.

As you learned, quality beats quantity everytime. That 6 days, two hours per day crap is a loser long term.

its the angle of the 1st picture. 3/4 view always does that. 200 lbs at 5ft7 isnt skinny by a long shot. Most guys I've dated have been taller and weighed less... and while I do tend to date THIN guys I would only call one of them "skinny".

That picture just freaked me the fuck out. Seriously. That looks -EXACTLY- like my hot tub on my deck. Same exact size, Same exact lattice fence in the background. Cover moved to exactly the same place... and is that a duck thermometer? Because I have the same one.
Actually, if it weren't for the fact that it absolutely never snows here, I would have thought that was taken at my house.

Maybe it was...:smellie_t
PS, it's a Tiger River spa. Is that what you have?

Unless you made it fake-snow inside my deck (which is screened in) in Florida, then no, it wasn't.
:P
and I have no idea what kind it is. It came with the house and I'm too lazy to go out there right now, take lid off and look around for a brand name.

Where you live, they are nice to have, but where I live (New England area) I would die without it. 8)

Fu-ing cold in the winter. As you can see the snow in the pic.

It's funny that you use those in cold weather even though they are outside. I know it's warm in the jacuzzi but you have to go outside still. Jacuzzis are more of a summer thing here in Australia. People use them even on warm nights. In winter most people stay inside near the fire.
It must be a nice contrast though - warm in there and freezing outside. Reminds me of those monkeys in Japan who sit in the natural hot springs to escape the cold snow.

I can't see any purpose using it in the summer. The whole idea is to make winter more bearable. It's cold for a second getting in, but sitting there with a glass of wine in hand watching the snow come down and almost make winter nice. Takes all the cold out of your bones, etc. Summer is for a swimming pool (which I dont have), the beach, etc.
If the plane ride was not so awful, I would have been down your way for a visit a long time ago. Always wanted to see "down unda" but I'm just about losing my mind flying coast to coast (6 hours) much less beyond that.

I know what you mean. Flying to London was dreadful!! 22 hours in economy class YUK. Since then I have vowed never to fly long distance again unless I can afford business or first class.

I believe you have to add additional hours to get here! In first class, I might consider it, but even that would be stretching it. I have looked into taking a cruise out of the west coast to get there, which would be a nice relaxing way to do it. Ship stops in several great places along the way. I have been invited to do seminars and such down there, and I have said no each time. I don't do 20 + hour flights period.
Went to Iceland last year, which is about 5+ hour flight. Enjoyed Iceland, hated the flight.

Yep..door to door (not including check in waiting) it takes me 27-30 hours of traveling to get from Sydney to my parents house in Southwestern Ontario.
Oh and I have a hot tub here out in my courtyard and I use it in summer and winter. I don't really use it in the day in summer though, I have a few times when I have been up all night and the sun is then up. But winter I think I will use it. Sydney people are retarded... they don't have heat in their houses. WTF! It's 10 degrees celcius at night and you have no heat???
I actually bought it from a company in Melb tho Jai... when you buy that house you want I'll let you know where. :)

Thanks... Ive been slacking horribly the last few weeks. Im going back to the gym today and sorting out my diet as well. Although I ate some crap this morning cause my cupboards are pretty bare atm.
Anyway it was no sugar, no yeast, no alcohol, no caffeine and no dairy. I only allowed greek yogurt (dairy) and some ricotta (dairy). The only fruit I ate was occasional strawberries and blueberries. Nothing processed. So basically, can you grow it yourself or find it at a farm??? Then you can eat it. Tons of meat and veggies. The only beverage I had was water and the occasional spearmint tea. For carbs I ate things from the health food isle that were sugar, dairy, yeast free. I found buckweat crakers, Oat wraps, corn cakes. I had fresh squeezed vegetable juice everyday with celery, carrot, ginger, beetroot, and lemon. It was not hard at all after the first few days. But once I start eating sugar, I can't stop.... kinda like right now. So I'm gonna try going off again today.

Its amazing how a little scanning of threads will find precious gems along the way.:great:
I must say between you and jaizaine i am beginning to think i should start vacationing over there. You think a southern gentleman (well most of the time;)) with a thick accent could find young lady to take back with him.
OkOK end threadjack

This is an open forum. You were indiscreet, I pointed it out, you corrected it...it's all good.
If we continue this little back and forth, no doubt a mod will be here soon enough....so I'll humbly bow out, and continue to read this entertaining thread.

Boys boys simmer down... hehehehe Don't know what got posted but thanks anyway HB. Ummm ya the entire diet/exercise plan went out the window 3 weeks ago. hahaha. But I'm back baby! As of yesterday. Had a mad sugar withdrawal headache. I don't know if I can stop the alcohol though... :( I just get too moody at work without it atm. Any suggestions of the best alcohol that is not sugary/high calorie? I usually go with vodka soda but it makes me extremely pissed.
Anyway off to the gym to get as skinny as Will! Peace.
^^^ LOL, I was the one who told him he looks skinny ^^^^
Yeah, Will, what are your secrets to getting so slim??? Do tell.... :)
Just pulling your leg....

It's all good and was intended as good fun. I hope your workouts are going well, and you are not making yourself too crazy with it. 8)
On that note, do you think I will get too big using 15 lb free weights circuit training? And doing 30-60 reps at 175 on the leg press? I feel like I'm getting tighter but not smaller.

The only way to know for sure if you are losing fat, is to actually check bodyfat....which you already know...choosing a weight to use should be based on a number of factors. As for getting "too big" see:
http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=133955&highlight=women+weight+training
I recent pic. Probably put on 10lbs of muscle since those other pics posted were taken. Aint gonna win no bodybuilding shows, but at 44, without making it a full time job living in the gym as some do/I did "back in the day" I'm happy with the results. Now, if they could just put Rob Lows head on my body...8)
