sxcbbw, your post caused me to look up an OLLLLLLLD thread I started here back in the day: http://forum.stripperweb.com/showthread.php?t=54330, based on the Are You A Nerd, Geek, or Dork? test on OKcupid (http://forum.stripperweb.com/showthread.php?t=54330).
According to the test:
A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
For the record, I've gone from "Joe Normal" (roughly equal proportions of all three categories) to "Pure Nerd" (mostly nerdy, still the same proportion of geek/dork) in the last 4 1/2 years, as I enjoy looking up stuff I hear about via Google and Wikipedia a lot. But I don't really have any particular topics about which I'm OMG smart or passionate.

I am a nutrition/fitness nerd. I can talk about food and nutrition for hours, but I actually don't talk about it much because it freaks people out, esp at work :(
I love my cats, they are my family. I also love other peoples cats and they tend to love me.
I am a nerd about spirituality, new age healing stuff, and psudo psychology self-help. This also freaks people out when I talk about it. I have read so many books about this topic and could talk about it for days.
I don't own a tv. Haven't watched any tv for 2 years, except the porn and sports they play at work ;) No sound though. Also don't watch movies.
I am a geek about pot and growing pot. This topic does make me money at work :) I don't really even smoke anymore but I still love it!
I love odd people. I like men with huge beards, men who look slightly homeless but are actually really cool people they just don't keep up with their looks. People/men who dress really odd/not matching. This really helps me at work, I attract the weird looking customers other girls will not talk to, but are actually really sweet guys who just smell a little and don't dress right. I feel them I went through a huge hippie phase where I smelled all the time :) Now I still dress really unusually/ shop at goodwill, but I keep clean. ;)
The interesting part of being open with my weirdness is how much others judge based on outside looks/smell. I am a sucessful stripper with money, but I go to places looking high (I'm not just look like it all the time) and wearing weird clothes and people act so odd. I keep my nerdiness on the downlow for the most part although I am becoming more secure about it. Sometimes I wish my nerdiness was more "normal" and that other people shared it. But I don't find many.
Gaming/linguist/art nerd.
I speak 7 languages and loooooooooooove video games. I play anything from platform to fps but MMORPGs just cannot hold my interest very long, sorry. :P Played City of Villains for a while but now I just do a game or two in Left 4 Dead when I'm not working on my webcomic.
It's awesome when you're the only in-game girl and the 'What do you do for a living?' question comes up.
I always answer without hesitation: Oh! I'm a stripper. Which usually just makes them laugh. X3 LITTLE DO THEY KNOW.
I also love mythology to bits and also USELESS KNOWLEDGE. Weird tidbits that I will NEVER have to know ever. Like polar bears are left handed. Neat for trivia games tho.
I never shy away from talking about my nerdiness in the club. I have made a LOT of moola on that. Lonely, misunderstood geek boys go bonkers for it. 8D

^Those weird tidbits will tide you over even the hardest pub quiz!
And I am a massive FPS freak. *coughcough Quake 2 logo trampstamp cough* <______<;
Also woooo, webcomics! I read too many. My day starts with logging into dA, checkin' all my comics, and a quick session of whatever game I click on first.

What form does your geekery take? I love to make nerds smile, im like the cheer-leader when it some to magic the gathering. Im very loud about my nerdy side :)

It's typically best to start out an MMO with a friend, or join a server where your friends are.
Do you know anyone that plays WoW?
Other than that, you'd need to buy the game and a 1 month subscription fee (or get a trial https://us.battle.net/account/creation/wow/signup/ )
Then it's a pretty standard MMO creation screen and you can choose what class you want to play. They all start out pretty simple. I'd recommend blood elf or draenei your first go through just because the starting zones (levels 1-20) are the prettiest.

Yea, there's a bunch of warcraft games before world of warcraft, then there's:
World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Expansion
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King expansion
You won't need the expansions unless you get really into the game and want to get to the highest level possible (80 right now.)

Currently totally geeking out over FFXIII. Slow to start and a lil' confusing but it's FF god damn it. There is no way it can't be awesome. Well, FFIX was. IX was the biggest mess of a FF game I've ever seen. Dear GOD. And FFVII was a movie. And don't get me started about Crisis Core or Dirge of Cerberus. Ugh...
FFIX was a piece of crap I agree. Anywho how far are you in FFXIII? Are you finding that Hope is totally useless? I think adding the readable chapters are helping me to understand the story, but at the same time if they just explained it from the beginning I wouldn't have to constantly use them as a reference.

The OK cupid test says I am a modern cool nerd, whatever that means, lol!}:D
My nerdiness comes in many forms, from old school Commodore 64 text based RPG's (Leather Goddesses of Phobos anyone?), to Magic, D&D, Warhammer fantasy and 40K, Munchkin, Blood Bowl, and Ral Partha figs.
I have a 12,500pt Dark Angels army, a 5,000pt Death Wing army, a 7,500 pt Orcs army, about 2,500 'Nids army (tyrannids), and 7,500 Daemonhunters/SOB's army (all WH 40K). For fantasy I have my 5,000 pt Chaos army, my 5,000 pt Tomb Kings army, and a 5,000 pt Skaven army. (all WH fantasy). Won 4 out of 15 RTT's, and have 12 painting awards, and 3 best in show for RTT's. Been to a few Games Day events as well.
Not to mention enough terrain and additional table pieces to cover 10 tables (yes, I have had my pieces used in RTT's and had a BLAST!). And I have enough paints, glues, flocks, rocks, and Styrofoam to cover 10 more tables, ROFL!
http://www.games-workshop.com/gws//home.jsp?_requestid=2009703
(for those that want to know more about WH, and 40K)
Not a WOW person (costs TOO much monthly IMO), but I have played Runescape since beta version in 2001, lol. (lvl 115 killer and a pure lvl 3 fishing/cooking noob) Love FF games, and 7 is still the best of all time!
Still have a few mox cards and one black lotus for Magic, and I am a munchkin on Magic.
Read a TON of books (at least 2-4 weekly), and Terry Brooks is one of my favs. (Magic Kingdom for sale anyone?)
Ended up working the "nerd" thing into my favor once at work, cause I sat down with a guy and started chatting, and got into the WH40K topic, and he paid me $1,000 (and 25 DW metal termies (usually about $15-20 each!) for my army) to paint his whole 7,500pt Dark Eldar army for him! Wish I could find more guys like him around.:'(

FF X-2 was a piece of crap. I got really bored really quickly going through levels I'd already been through.
And RuneScape... nice! I haven't been playing that long, but I love it cause it's fun and free. Furcadia anyone?
My nerd is showing...

A fellow McChris fan on this site! And one from my own town, no less! Stranger things have happened, but it is definitely a funny little coincidence – his fans are few and far between. I don’t know if the mods approve of me asking where you dance so I guess I will shoot you a short PM. I haven’t used a PM on this site before so I predict a high probability of failure.
To the nerd girls out there – you have your fans. Just because a guy is nerdy does not mean he is socially maladjusted – he is there to have fun and that includes debates and discussions he cant have at the office. And speak your mind. If you disagree with the customer on which Star Wars movie is best let the argument flow (nothing like some good dialectic). That blows away any single word conversation. Few things are more awkward than the “single word answer” stripper.

Oooh yes. Single word answers suck... both on the stripper end and the custie end. I lucked out last weekend and there was a vintage car show, so I could babble on to custies about how I want to trick out a Cadillac hearse! The other girls just couldn't compete with my love of classic cars, pin ups, and rat rods. <3
We could have a Star Wars vs Star Trek debate! Woot!
I dance all over the Triad, shoot me a pm and I'll let ya know. Could always use some good convo at work. I don't think your other pm went through, but feel free to send it again. :D

My favorite customers as well as guys have always been the nerds. The guy I currently like is a nerd and this is obvious to everyone who meets him because he looks like a stereotypical nerd. He is obsessed with Star Wars and Star Trek and anything else that is typically nerdy, and he hates sports. I know people think hot girls don't want a nerd, but those of us on the more intelligent side want a guy like this because we want to be intellectually stimulated along with everything else. I know there's this stereotype that these guys live in basements playing Dungeons and Dragons, but give me a guy like this over a guy who isn't a nerd.

Laurell K Hamilton is sooo awesome! At first though, I just hated how she twisted Anita into such a succubus...wasn't expecting that at all! Now I am coming to terms with it.
My husband and I always argue if werewolves or vampires are better-I always say vamp, he says were. Its a cute argument, but sometimes we really get into it!
I love nerds at work...they help pass the time if other guys aren't buying. And once you are in with them, they love to spend $$$ on you! Best customers imo, maybe not the best $ wise (they are too busy spending $ on gaming lol) but still...there is something about them. :)

Point well taken. I don’t go to the clubs here very often but when I do I can see some of the clientele you have to deal with. Were I, under somewhat unlikely circumstances, transformed into an attractive female dancer I don’t know if I could put up with some of the guys I see out at the clubs. I think the “one word answer” guys could sometimes be the least of my worries. PM sent.

I've been playing Fallen Earth lately, which is a really nice looking game. Also bought Death Jr.: Root of Evil for Wii, so my boyfriend and I have been playing that co-op.

Yeah, what was it... Dragon Age...? Where they had an openly gay character?
Torchlight is a fun single player, I think I really liked the weapons and played as the female char so I could use pistols and such.
I love the distinctly Asian feel of their games, and the fact that they have other classes besides humans and elves and whatnot. I thought the Tideborne were an awesomely original idea for a char class... I've only ever played one other game with something similar.
Ooh who likes Sacred? I freakin love the Seraphim.
My char for PW is an Untamed female Venomancer.

Yea, Dragon Age allowed homosexual choices. Kudos on that, though I never played the game.
I have a habit of mostly sticking to multiplayers to play with my boyfriend. We got really into Civ4 over Christmas, and we were watching Battlestar Galactica all the way through while playing CivIV. It was awesome.
We're going to reactivate our LOTRO accounts soon, when they run the $9/month deal.
