Hey girls! I had a baby 6 weeks ago and unfortunately the weight is just not coming off as fast as I would like it too. The dad is not in the picture and my savings are running out a lot faster than I would like them to so I need to go back to work like next week. I am planning on checking out this divey mostly African American club that has a reputation for being mostly clean (from what I have heard any extras take place outside of the club.)
So yup I’ve read this thread:
http://forum.stripperweb.com/showthread.php?t=60870
But I don’t want them to laugh at me when I go into audition so I was wondering if you guys could just give me some honest advice about whether I should just wait till I lose all the weight. My main concerns are how droopy and disproportionally small my boobs are and whether the amount of cellulite I have is going to be visible in the club.
Quick bio: I am 21, 5’6’’ 175lbs and have an ideal hip to waist ratio. I am anywhere from a size 10-16 depending on where I shop.
Oh I'm sorry my thong doesn’t match and thanks for your honesty!!!!!
I think you are hot. You sorta look like a Lisa Yuskavage painting: http://tinyways.com/media/img/lisa_yuskavage/lisa_yuskavage_01.jpg

OK well congrats on your baby first of all. Your body looks pretty good for having a baby recently!. Im not gonna tell you anything you already know. That being said if i were you, i would check out a few of the clubs i was interested in working in, and see what kind of girls are working there. If possible, hold off on working for a few weeks and focus on getting your body toned up. Tanning also helps make the body look more toned and thinner. And if your not used to walking in high heels, work on that, a very high heel will help make you look more proportionate. My lower half is also bigger than my upper half. I got implants to even myself out. Obviously this is not an option for you tho, but defnitely try to wear some bust enhancing outfits : )
And working at dive clubs isnt always a bad thing. Ive worked at a few dives and also a few upscale gown clubs. My best night ever money wise was made at a dive.
Good luck to you!!

I just wanted to update: I’ve been hiking a whole bunch and lifting weights since I posted the pics. I plan to start doing 30 Day Shred and this other Shape Boot Camp video this weekend. I have lost 8 pounds so far! I’ve been tanning too and am going to have to check out Jergens. So last night I went and auditioned and got the job! I wore a pinstripe underwire baby doll that I got from Snaz. They let me start working that night and I get to make my own schedule. I made $170 after the $40 tip out and I’m pretty happy with it! Most of it was from this really quiet white guy who was going through a divorce and told me I reminded him of his daughter(wtf?)!!!! Oh and lola_1986, it’s a topless place. In Connecticut you can’t buy liquor in the same place that you can see pussy so we don’t have a lot of nude clubs here. The other girls were pretty friendly and helpful and there was one other girl about my size. Going on stage was really nerve racking, I disconnected a bit. I got nothing by compliments about my body, however. When it comes to negative customer reactions I am going to try and take them with a grain of salt. I don’t think anybody said anything in this thread that was offensive or shocking, especially considering that I asked for honesty. However I do appreciate Driven and EllaGazella sticking up for curves! In Connecticut curves are not as adored as they are in the Midwest or in South but I think there is definitely a market for them here. We are close to New York but there are a lot of urban and country areas here so it's not at all the same atmosphere as NYC or Vegas. Oh and Sophia_Starina, the comparison to the Yuskavage painting was seriously like the most flattering compliment ever! And thank you everyone for the congrats on the little one!

You could probably work the dayshift at an upscale club, which might be good for you just starting out anyway. I say figure out where you ideally want to work and go audition, tell them you're fine with days (if you are). Worst that can happen is they say no. Then you can just go to your second choice and so forth, but don't rule a place out just because you "think" you won't get hired there.
Also, lots of girls work reallllly hard for your waist. I'm overall thinner than you and my waist is bigger because I tend to carry my fat in that area. Sucks!
one more thing: be really understanding if the first club you pick tells you no (considering that they arent dicks about it). Ask the management if you'd be welcome to come back after you tone up and explain your interest in working there. Sometimes when girls come in (at my club) and get rejected they throw massive fits and then come back 2 months later after losing some weight, but the management is like "no way, you showed your ass". But, I've also seen girls come back and get hired because management remembers them as being friendly. A lot of clubs, esp the more upscale ones, DO take personality into account. They want girls who are going to make the customers feel comfortable and have a good time, so how you act towards management reflects to them how you might treat a customer. This is also why, -sometimes-, a "lesser attractive" girl will get hired over a generally more attractive one. Given that they both still fall into the clubs range of "ideal". I've seen two friends come in to audition and watched the "hotter" one leave pissed off because she didn't get hired. Usually because she acted like a total stuck up bitch.
Hi Pretty_Penny,
This is soooo true....as with any business or industry...NEVER BURN BRIDGES! Treat everyone with respect...It goes a long way.

ps. don't worry about them "laughing at you".
1. who gives a fuck what other people think?
and
2. I PROMISE you that anyone who's been in this industry for more than 6 months has seen some horrible. horrible. horrible. crazy auditions. Most clubs get a bunch of auditions every week. Plenty of dancers don't even notice them or watch anymore. I mean, I probably see 3-4 new auditions/brand spanking new dancers a week and I only notice if they are -horrible-. I mean, as in, doing pantomime on the stage or cartwheels or something. Chances are you're going to fall into the standard/normal range of what most auditions look like:
Slightly nervous on stage, not sure what to do with yourself, and needing to lose a little weight.
Please don't take that the wrong way, I'm only trying to explain that it's not uncommon, and therefor no one is going to "laugh" at you. In fact, in most cases, if the manager thinks you're so "not right" for the club, they won't even let you audition. They're only going to let you get on that stage if you're at least mostly what they're looking for.
Hi again Pretty_Penny,
OMG! I was lmao when I read "horrible-. I mean, as in, doing pantomime on the stage or cartwheels or something"....too fuckin' funny. You actually witnessed someone doing a fucking cartwheel? What chick in their right mind think that was ok to do for an audition....Granted I'm not a dancer...yet...but I know that doing pantomiming or cartwheels wouldn't be appropriate...DAMN

I've seen a girl do a cartwheel towards the pole, then grab the pole with her legs and pull herself up... pretty talented. Trumps my headstand.

Ok yeah..that's cool.. on the pole...I can see that... I meant I couldn't envision some chick just on a stage randomly doing cartwheels all over the stage without a pole.

Yeah I see what you mean... anything can look sexy if you do it right, but you have to do it right. I knew this girl that could do all kinds of pole tricks but her landing was so messy and floppy she looked awful.
Pantomiming... not so much. o_O

Oh G-D sister, we used to have a girl that would do the robot, the worm, the air leg guitar, and cartwheels all on stage, in between jumping onto to custys at the stage, and punching them, choking them, and slapping them.
She banked doing all that, like one of the top earners, lol. I never did figure that one out, lol./:O

I saw a feature that made her legs VIBRATE, like not like the ass clap... actually vibrate hard enough to feel it all the way across the stage. Saw her doing it during a lapdance too. Bet that felt nice. :D

Congratulations on getting hired! Make the most of every moment of it.
Curves are beautiful even if this industry and many others keep trying to make us believe otherwise.
