To be honest when I hear a lot of the crude customer complaints from girls about the sites they're on it shocks me! I have only been on Camwithher and I mean, you get jerks now and then but it's so rare. I think it is because we don't have free cams/free chats. 'Free' stuff always attracts a lot of losers I think. :(

Yes that's just how I feel about my customers at my club and what I hear on this site about other girls' customers. I couldn't do this job if I had the "PL"s I read about on this site, which is why I'm looking to not have to deal with them too much in camming either. I'm willing to take way less clientele as long as they are better quality.
I should be all set up by next week but I'm going away for a week on a cooking retreat so I will probably start when I get back in 2 weeks.

Same here! Some places sound AWFUL.

Where I cam it is for the most part higher quality people. You will never have twenty guys in your room at once, they will never all be begging you to bang your ass or whatever. Mainly because they can't see you unless they pay.

U know I cammed on some sites I felt that the owners cared more about the costumers than the girls, I had a guy who spend thousands on me a month.. it got to the point where he was seriously making me uncomfortable and stalking me on my personal accounts. Making me feel like I owed him something for all the money he spent on me. The moment I told steve he got rid of that guy right away. On another site I worked on if I asked to delete someone, they would give him a warning instead.

Ok change of subject u know what PISSES me off about other cam sites??? That shitty fucking 30% the girls make, whats up with that??? We do all the work? and we expose everything on there for 30% while they make 70% of EVERYTHING! WTF! Thats my biggest complaint about looking at other sites to cam on.

"high end camming" - interesting term.

From what I've noticed (and from my own experience) the amount of money you make really depends on 1) how much time you're willing to put in daily online 2) the QUALITY of your setup (type of camera you use, your internet connection speed, your lighting) and 3) how well known you are.

I suppose I could officially say I'm a very "high end cam girl" being that I can charge out the nose due to the fact that I'm also a pornstar - however most likely I'd make about the same money due to the fact that I've been a webcam girl since 2002, have a website and have a nice setup.

Yes, what you look like body wise, counts for a lot, but considering all the specific fetishes and niches out there, being a barbie doll doesn't always cut it.

My suggestion is you create a specific webcam girl persona (or 2 or 3) and market the hell out of them. Don't just expect camshows to fall in your lap simply because you signed up on a network.

Thanks I really appreciate this advice as I don't really think I've heard it before. I'm really wondering more and more if I should set up my own site before joining another one and use them together?

I'm thinking that since I'm smart and have small cute boobies, that's what I'll play up for my persona. Like I was going to go out and buy some fake glasses but has that been done too much?

Um Yes it has. you don't think there are thousands of smart camgirls with small cute boobies? or should I say, Camgirls that use that as their marketing strategy. YOu want to standout from the rest so I'm sure you can think of something more orginal.. Just my $0.02.

I think you should start your own site while using other cam networks but figure out a way to make their customers yours...

Does camwithher pay by Epassporte? I only saw bank transfer etc on the FAQ's and I'm in the U.K.

What % do the models get to keep? It said 80% on the site, but that was with referrals?

Thanks!

How about adding a spy cam? If you join NinaNin.com (my company) I will send you a cam and you can leave it on all the time for passive income. You can use it in conjunction with your other cams if they allow it. I am fine with it. Make extra money and join my new company:)

Hi Simone! Not sure if you remember me - we emailed back & forth a few times about maybe setting this up, but I'm not ready quite yet, either in my (non-existent for now) fan base or my actual living situation?

At some point in the future, when I get a laptop (if), I'll contact you again, as I think this is a really cool thing to do. :) :)

I read somwhere that onhercam and camwithher used to be part of the same company but they split, either way camwithher is registered under Leescliffe Ltd which is in the UK.
I don't know if onhercam are the same though.

It all comes down to this: All indy camming sites and Smaller webcam sites like cwh, will have less traffic then bigger sites, less girls, and less girls online. years ago i was with another site that was mentioned in this post, to this day the site is lucky to have a full page of girls on at times. It really doesn't matter how many girls appear online at once (except there will be way less competition for the traffic that does come online) If you are the one or two of the girls on a smaller site like this, u should get good traffic, rather then being one girl in a sea of 500. BUT It is what you do with that traffic that matters. Some of the larger sites have a shit ton of traffic but is it quality traffic that spends? NO! So it doesnt matter how much/how little it is the quality of the traffic that counts.

Some guys will stay for hours, Some guys will stay for a few mins and only a few mins, and there is nothing u can do about the minute men even on a "classier site"

As far as Ember-reigns goes, I would not use her as an example. Solo-girl members sites are a whole new ballgame. She is everywhere because she has a commercial members website with affiliate program, and those affiliates promote her everywhere. Along with her site, she is on a few camsites. This is far from an amateur model starting out. She should not be used as an example in this case, For a newbie I think this could be very misleading. Myself and thousands of other models make great money camming without a membership site. You do not need a members website to make good money camming, at all.

Here are a few additional tips for you, tried to post this last night but pc crashed.

If you start a personal website to promote yourself, offer shows starting at $25 and up only. Have a MINIMUM such as 10 mins on up. You will brainwash guys to a minimum sale, and wherever you bring them they will be used to a higher rate.

Select the highest possible rate per min you are comfortable with. You will miss out on a lot of minute men, but who wants em anyways?

Wear CLOTHING/Classy clubwear on cam, absolutely no "lingerie in the bag" I think the look you have in mind is fine. You will need alot of accessories including a pair of glasses. When used correctly glasses are very unexpected and a TURN ON for alot of men. Try different looks and see what is best for you.

Take your time with your customers, chat them up for as long as possible. Tease only after a few minutes of conversation, but don't make it obvious that you are watching the minutes tick away. If they walk out before 2 mins is over, they are not worth it!

Absolutely do not strip down within two minutes, bend over, or treat yourself like their personal playtoy. Always remember you are in control.

If I was you, big or small, all websites have traffic, and different kinds of traffic. Id sign up to a few. It is all about the process of elimination and finding out what works best for you!

AND P.S. Don't listen to people who talk about sites, but admit they have never worked for them. Listen to those who are experienced on the website you are curious about and use your own best judgement.
