LMAO..
You do know this also applies in escorting.
Alot of ladies thinks they'll make more if they lower their prices...NOT!
It all averages out the same. Trust me :) It does ..
The only thing is the girl charging $4 a minute is working smarter and the girl charging $2 a minute is working harder.
Just like in escorting ... do you know how many guys the girl charging $150 an hour has to see in order to make 1k. The lady
charging $400 an hour only has to see 3 clients and she's made over 1k..
Think about it..
Do not be afraid to charge a higher rate.. you're only hurting yourself.. I know you feel like it's the "safe" thing but
think outside of the box.
Work smart not hard.
Thanks Malaya!! I'm going to work with this mindset from now on.

I second this. When I first started camming, I had my rate at $1.99/min for weeks, and now I'm at 3.99/min and I don't see where I make any less. :)

It all depends on which site you go through. Most of them charge 30-60% commission which really cuts into your earnings so I had my own site built (if you don't know a web developer you can enlist a company like ModelSiteMaker.com to build you your own and they take 10% of your earnings) now I'm making more money working the same hours. But there's a lot of companies trying to rip us off so make sure you fully read every contract and you're maintaining ownership of your videos so they can't sell them.

I used to think that way.
Honestly they can sell all the videos of me they want as long as they keep my earnings to 50 plus dollars an hour consistently. Getting your own traffic seems harder and harder these days.
and Jayden, first post and you pull up a thread from years ago promoting a website building service? Can you give us a link to YOUR site? or are you actually just spamming for model site builder?

from what I've seen generally once you've been camming regularly for around 3 months you'll earn an average of 200 a day. It varies from person to person of course, but this has been the average for myself after 3 months and other women I've helped get started.
If it's 200 your cut this is great. I'm looking to make my daily goal 250 my cut a day is possible. If I see it's a bust reaching the 250 goal I'm for sure gonna log out with 200 for the day. I plan on doing 5-6 hrs a day so let's see what happens!

as one of those "stripper chicks" ive done both.. as far as my last club in comparison to camming simply bcause it was that damn slow, i look at it this way the clubs are just as up and down..u can sit in a club mandtory 6 hrs and not make one dime not even $1 tip on stage..other nites u come in and its big bucks everywhere... camming same thing..u can sit those same hrs and not make anything even if u change up some stuff..other nites its back to back privates... to me both camming and stripclubs are one in the same.. still self employed, still cash based as far as no taxes taken out..
in the end stick with it camming is a industry the more u are on the more u make.

It varies from person to person, and day to day. One night I made $500 in three hours (RARE) and the next, $100 in six hours.
I know that on mfc, your earnings can really drop once you lose your "new model" tag, and then slowly climb as you gain a fan base. But I would say that for a lot of people, $200 a day is realistic, but the amount of hours you might have to work for that will change all the time.

I can usually pull off 200 a day in 6 hours, sometimes 5. I'm usually pretty burnt out after that though. But yes it's completely possible. I just started about 3 weeks ago. I don't do gold shows. I think the only way I would be able to last 40 hours a week is if I only did gold shows. I also think you might be charging to little. I started off at $2.04 and 3.00 then my second week switched to 2.99/3.99 and now I'm at 3.99/4.99. I may go back to 2.99/3.99 but so far it's working out. I'm in privates/exclusives less but still making what I did on 2.99/3.99, it's much easier on my body though.
200 a day working a full 8 hours or just 3 to 4 hours?

On SM, from a global point of view, the absolute lowest I've seen is around $15 an hour on a bad week, which still compares very favorably to a 9 to 5 job. There are also models that consistently average over $100 an hour. Most fall somewhere in between. There are sooo many factors that play into it though, and your hustle is just a small part. Building your fan base externally, time of day (some models instinctively know when they have the least competition and hit at just those times), smart use of social media, technical issues with the site you can't control, etc. While I can say that being young and cute or having big boobs is a definite boost to higher earnings, it does not determine your income level once you get the ball rolling.
The biggest factor is how you think about your camming job. If you treat it like a little part time job, you'll get a little part time income. If you think about it like your business (and act accordingly), you'll get a boss' income.
However, the biggest secret to making money on SM or any site...I'll let you all in on it. Ok, here goes... You have to log in. Bonus points if you stick around for more than 20 minutes before giving up. There, cat's out of the bag, you can thank me later.

Your goals seem pretty reasonable so far, but also keep in mind that when the "new girl status" wears off, it can become a little more difficult. Again, this isn't the rule, as I myself didn't notice much of a difference. The amount of money you make is completely up to you, and this is perhaps the hardest part about being self-employed. The money draw can get addictive, and there also isn't anyone there to reprimand you for slacking or skipping shifts entirely. Still, I do love it!
It really depends on your niche, props, customer base, time of day, lighting and technology. A lot of variables, basically. Consistency is also a big factor, as well as the way you market and present yourself. Just to put my two cents in, I can usually average at least $30/hr. (though there are night when it's pulling teeth just to make $5) and I work on Streammate as well. My goals are usually a modest $156/day ($30 for taxes, remaining for myself, this usually averages to $600/wk. after taxes) though lately I have been pumping up the volume and working double shifts in order to push myself ($312/day, usually working 6-8 hours instead of my usual 2-4.)
I want to say that for the average girl, $100/day is pretty realistic, but what counts as average with camming? It's almost impossible since we come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and have entirely different appeals to men. There are always going to be girls at the tippy top making hundreds of dollars an hour, and there are always going to be girls who say the industry is dying (or already dead) or that it's impossible to make money without working long hours. Take both sides with a grain of salt and just focus on your own hustle. At least, I've found that's what works best for me.
