I was actually disgusted and a bit chilled by it, which should have been evident by my posts. However, assuming that bartenders and waitresses should, or even really can, be your nanny on a drinking night is just not realistic.
It's not an assumption Rick, it's a reality in many states. Honestly, I don't think you are giving bartenders or cocktail waitresses much credit here. I happen to know quite a few and they take the job and the responsibility pretty seriously. Granted it may be because they know there is a liability issue. The attitude of establishments that serve liquor and the people who work in them has changed dramatically in the last ten to fifteen years.
