Well, we're the only ones who allow the webcam sites to get away with this.

It's easy to say camsites should take the time and effort to protect us but it's a business and if we want to be protected, then we need to be proactive and come forward and step up to the plate..and say we're NOT going to put up with this anymore....do you think they give a flying fuck whether or not we feel our privacy is being violated???

If we all got together and stopped camming even for ONE day or came together as a group to put a stop to this...it would be a HUGE impact on their business...just as if we were to go on strike. I know that a majority of the women who cam daily would affect them financially but we need to give them an ultimatum if we want this shit to stop... these sites cannot survive without us....

I'm willing to fight so...ladies who cam.... are you ready to join the revolution with me???

if i was camming now, i totally would! in fact, i will just b there in spirit for right now haha

Ok yeah, now i'm scared! I just started camming and while I've barely made anything, and only worked about 10 hours so far, I still don't want my shit stolen! I tried going on manycams to do the watermark thing, and it won't work because i have a mac..so I'm kind of stuck, not sure what to do- I dont do full nude but, that's not the point- no one should be stealing our stuff for free- how do we fix this? Or are there better sites to go on? Something? AH!

I hope you saw that mac post. :)
There ARE awesome sites but, as a cam girl, you WILL be recorded at some time during your camming career. Just do the best you can, watermark your cam, and I hope you make lots of money. :)

^Thats totally fine, if i'm getting paid for it, or at least getting customers from it lol! I did see the post but I've never had a mac before and I'm afraid itll screw it up or something? Or not really sure what/how to do (even though I am really good with computers..i havent done a ton of work with macs yet). Do you mind me asking if you have your own site? Or do you cam on the 'main sites' ?

uhm a couple flaws...
1. we're not union workers we;re independent contractors so the purpose of the strike to barter some sort of deal is pointless without a union.

2. ok so say we strike- wow only 10 girls from stripperweb isnt going to put any kind of dent in any website's business. You still have thousands of girls online at any given time from different countries, studios, and girls who dont give a shit about their image being out there.

3. if the sites don't agree to our terms then what? we'll all be back online business as usual for camgirls and websites alike.

Sorry to be a downer in your "revolution" if you can even call it that. If you're concernced about your image out there then don't cam. Plain and simple.

couldn't have said it better myself. As independent contractors, we're essentially replaceable. Meaning that if we boycott and stop camming as a protest to site owners not working on our stolen private sessions...then they're just going to laugh because finding another pile of girls to cam on their site is easy. We're replaceable. You may think that camsites need us, but they don't. There are thousands upon thousands of girls who are joining camsites, especially during this recession....the bottom line is if you aren't ok with your naked ass being all over the internet, then don't PUT it on the internet in the first place.

we kno this. was really no need for the condescending post.

plus, in any job, ur replaceable. i dont care what industry u work in, u r very replaceable.

ur right though on the note that since u r an independent contractor u r responsible for ur own working conditions, but can u not see some issues that arise b/c these websites are letting this go on? even tho ur an "independent contractor" they should still feel they have an obligation to keep theft down. they should be combating it.

well, from a site owners perspective, I'd imagine they'd see these kind of recorded vids being posted everywhere is just good promotion for their site. I mean...say a random dude sees a hot recorded private session on a random forum and likes the girl he's watching. He'll end up going to whatever site she's on to see more, right? I mean, essentially it IS promoting whatever model or website is being posted, so I can kind of see why some aren't too quick to get this stuff taken down. Doesn't mean I agree with it, because I think in order for models to do well, they need to be taken care of...but most site owners are just interested in the $$$ rolling in, and thats the way the industry goes. Sad, but true.

my post wasn't meant in a condescending manner, sorry that you took it that way. I do not agree that any form of strike or uprising on our part is going to do any good. There are far too many girls whether camming from home or be from a studio to organize in this fashion. Plus the uprising group will only be seen as diva performers aka pains in the ass and there could be potential consequences. Account could be "cancelled", emails to customer service not responded to...i think that's extreme but it could potentially happen.

Is it fair that we are recorded and put on blast on websites? No. Is it fair some sites use your footage to promote their sites and dont pay you for replayed footage? No. Is life fair? No.

Camgirls are not forced into having our image on the internet, as I recall I signed a contract for every camsite I've signed up with. I wanted to cam, no one held a gun to my head forcing me into the industry. Unfortunately this is a dark side to the business and it is a cat and mouse game between sites prohibitting shows being recorded by outside sources and the hackers gaining access to that same system.

I don't think the sites like it, I think there are too many of us streaming, too many camming websites, and too many forums where this footage can be found that it would be extremely difficult for any site to police this sort of thing. It is up to you to protect yourself by watermarking your cam and not performing on sites known for pirates :cough: MFC :cough: :)

I dont agree with this.. Yes it will promote the site qnd guys might or might not go there, but he already saw this girl naked, he already got his fun and he doesnt care to pay her, even to find her in the first place. Ive read many of what the guys posted and their just posting of what they collected, what they have and to exchange many of them laugh not to pay the girl, and some even do it for free. A gyu who pays wants to talk to the girl, spend time with her, have certain requests he'll pay for.. guys who post on those forums dont care

First of all, you're not a downer in my so-called "revolution" and I could care less about my image blasted all over the internet... but some women who post on here are, and rightfully so, if they feel they are being taken advantage of the men who "steal" their work to post for free for all to see.

1) I realize we're not union workers, we're not even W-2, my point was "strike" for lack of a better word. It's all semantics....

2) Have you taken an actual head count on SW to find out how many girls that post on here actually cam??? You mentioned 10, huh?? WOW! Where did you get that figure? Did you sign on as moderator and take count of the girls who are on here maybe some girls do cam maybe they don't and say they do? And vice versa or maybe some of them lurk around and bother not to post anything about themselves...

3) If the sites don't agree with our terms???? HA! it's the other way around, we tell them what WE want NOT what they will agree to..
if you're in then you're in, if not, no hard feelings...

I know this might sound dumb and I am new to this but, what is watermarking your video? How do you do this? Do you need a special camera or software? O and how do you get a website for posting pics and blogging? I just want my name in the url. Thanks

there r free programs that u have to run in addition to whatever cam program u r running. so let's say ur using yahoo. download manycam for free. open up whatever client u r going to cam on and then open up manycam. u can then watermark your vids with text or graphics to say whatever u want and it will show up when u broadcast ur feed.

Welcome to porn (music, movies, books, ect) on the internet. If it can be stolen it will be.

There really is no way to stop it and there's no way to force websites to remove the images/videos when they are up. Most of the pirate sites are offshore and with the DMCA they have been given what amounts to free pass to actually steal content...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DMCA

We have been dealing with this in the adult industry for the past 2-3 yrs and its now making its way to live cam show content.

I made up the number 10 as an example of the number of girls on here compared to the number of non stripperweb girls out "there". If I had said 10,000 of us it still doesnt make a difference my point was and is still valid. The number of girls who you recruit is not going to make a difference to these sites, think of how many girls are logged off at any given time any day of the week..that number is probably higher than any organized rally anyway.

If the sites dont agree with your terms?? they get another 20 girls to fill your spot. There are tons of girls who retire/quit/move onto another site daily and they are replaced as quickly as they leave. The sites don't give a shit cuz they dont have to
