holy cow-- just spent the last hour cleaning my carpets with a rental-steamer. All the water is so black despite going over it three times and emptying it out and refilling it with fresh water. Disgusting! I just want it to stop when I have clear or semi-clear water but at this rate it looks like I have several more hours of steaming before that might even start to begin clearing up :(
Stop now. Plant vegetables.

^ha ha ha. well, that could be doable except my house has less than stellar greenhouse conditions, plus I have two indoor pests (dogs) who love veggies.
I've steamed and extracted around 7 gallons (there's some loss obviously.) It's still sooooo dirty! Carpet looks and feels good, but I'm not going to believe it's
in manageable condition until I start seeing some clearer water!
I tried a Bissell cleaner this time from Lowe's instead of the Rug Doctor from the grocery store, and I think it's cleaning better.... not sure because it's been
about four months since I last did it and I obviously didn't get it as clean as I wanted last time.

Hmmm try pure vinegar and water as your cleaning solution. The stronger the vacuum the better. I recommend a shop vacuum with a HEPA filter.
The most extreme route, the one to go with for allergies or black mold is to pull up the carpet and replace the pad beneath.
FiendishGyrator
03-16-2012, 11:51 PM
eh, I'm using oxyclean, and then I'll be doing a couple of just hot water treatments, and then I'll probably do vinegar and water to finish. It's a rental so I'm not worried about the pad.

Im confused... suddenly I keep getting all these photos of hot fitness chicks on my FB newsfeed and people commenting on whether or not they are hot. I find it very offensive all these people saying "ew too skinny" or "yuck look at her implants" blah blah. Id like the people making those comments to post pics of themselves to be judged. As far as I can tell they all look fabulously fit. It just pisses me off its ok to call a fit girl too skinny but if we call someone fat then all hell breaks loose - because they are "healthy" or "curvy".
This REALLY REALLY pisses me off also . I have a friend who used to do Body Sculpture competion ..She was ( still is ) incredibly fit , Yes , she has implants ( So what ) and people say same same about her competition photo's ..the comments seem to be of a sexual nature ..Yet look at the people making comment ..Do They have any idea of the work put in ???
I admire fit people ..male and female , they are never "too skinny " ..Yet these fools say its fine to call themselves " Curvy" ..yet on many occassions we know what Curvy actually means .
Thats why I do like Asia ..because you can still say " Your Fat " .

Maybe a better way of phrasing that would be "I prefer larger boobs, and I wish I had some." Cuz I happen to think that small breasts are EXTRAORDINARILY sexy! I've never seen a pair that I'd classify as "stupid little mosquito bit titties"! :-*

This irritates me too. People putting other people down and being unkind cause they are jealous and insecure so they need to go "ewww shes gross/skinny/ugly/hate her fake ass boobs/nasty fake hair etc etc, when they wish with all their heart that they could be skinny and boobed up with big hair!! And for the most part, its girls being nasty about girls :(

So pissed about my b-day dinner. We don't really have a lot to spend on B-days since we have 5 boys, so on mine all I wanted was to go out to eat for some seafood. And being form a town that has ONE small store that doesn't even sell ciggs or beer we have to go out of town (like an hour or so away). I picked a restaurant that I as a teen would go for all our dances. Like prom and homecoming dances. It was soooo "fancy" when I was a teen lol and while their prices are still VERY high, it's under new management but I was still stoked. To start off we got baked oysters with parm cheese, bacon & smothered with cheddar on top. Ummmm....thats what the menu said...
What we got: Some oysters with fucking GRATED parm cheese (like what you put on your f'n spaggeti at home, with bacon bits on top that I know for a fact is the kind you buy in the jar. Even though they are REAL bacon bits, I could clearly tell that they were the "real" ones you buy for a salad at home off the shelf.
Then, the stuffed shrimp I ordered wasn't ANYTHING like it was when the other owners owned it. And my side was cheese grits that were BRIGHT orange and tasted clearly of cheap cheese. Anyone from the south or anywhere else knows that cheese grits made w real cheese will not be florecent orange. EWWW......one thing I will not buy is IMITATION cheese..
Needless to say, I enjoyed the time I spent w my Hubby &&&& 5 year old that went along..and I didn't say a word because we work so hard for our money I didn't want my Hubby to think I was disappointed in our meal we worked so hard for. =P
OK. RANT OVER. lol had to get that out...

Sick of people (with no first hand knowledge) putting down stripping. Any online articles about some pole dancing competition have to mention that THIS event was not sleazy/not just some woman writhing around/'actually' requires athletic skill! Fuckoff, there are some competition/instructor level dancers at my club, less athletic dancing still requires skill and if you had ever been to a club you would realise it's about seduction, not an athletic competition. No point in getting mad at someone on the internet though haha.
Even some people I know compare pole classes/burlesque in this manner. Makes me laugh really.

Preaching to the choir! I HATE this kind of thing! And when pole clubs come into the club to "watch the show" and comment on each girls stage show negatively to other dancers. Ive given up being pleasant and am quite often rude to them now, so are the other dancers, most recent "if you're not buying dances, fuck off, im not here to entertain YOU, im here to earn a living, go sit in the cheap seats at the back drinking over-priced cheap shit wine and bitch about pole tricks!"

Not had any pole clubs in, but i am involved with a new one so if they plan a night out i'll be sure to point out it's low on the agenda to max out your skills every set!
I know we don't get stage tips but it is annoying when there are non-spenders sat right by the stage, there were some student couples there this weekend who 'loooove watching you, you're all so good, so sexy!' but too poor to buy a dance (but fine for £5 a drink lol). Let some horny guy sit there so i can get close and seduce him!
Oooh i might take advantage of the fact they (pole club and friends) dont know how it works and encourage them to stage tip. It only happens when someone's friends are in really.

Very interested! It took me 2 months and 5 appointments to go from black to light yellow blonde but I eventually want to be very light ash blonde/platinum so I wanna see how yours turned out!!
Well... My 5AM blonde ambition made me think I was braver than I am: I chickened out on cutting my hair today. I recently took off six inches and it's right under my boobs. I was going to cut it up to right above my shoulders because it's extremely thick (stylist said she would only consider taking it to blonde for a base price of $500 because she didn't want to deal with all of my hair, and I'm not willing to pay that much, which is why I'm doing it myself), but I just can't do it. So I'm going to be doing it over a week's time instead of a single day, starting either this Wednesday or Friday. I've had it taken from black to blonde in seven hours once before, but it was much longer and the dye on it pre-bleach was very uneven, so I had color ranging from light blonde to awful brassy tones. Most of that problem could have been avoided if my stylist had used the non-bleach lifter properly, so now that I know what NOT to do, I'm hoping to do a much better job. Anyway, I haven't slept in two days and am rambling, so in conclusion: blonde marathon begins this week; will post pictures and the products used, if I still have a scalp.

Our DJ had an awesome idea last night, sunday is usually a slow night anyway BUT...while i was waiting for my stage set to start he told me to give him a fiver from what id already made, then when i was halfway through my set, he came round the opposite side of the stage to where the DJ box is and gave me the fiver on the stage, it worked like a dream! The guys sitting nearest the stage started tipping girls on stage, i did two more sets over the course of the night and i got tipped £5 each set!
Yeah, our waitresses are quite good, they will seat customers who they dont think will spend away from the stage and stick them in the corners where they cant see anything, so the ones who just come in for a perv and nurse a glass of lemonade for three hours dont get to see anything muuahahahaa,

Same in my club, topless pole, zero tips. Genuinely it worked, we're gonna get the bouncers/managers/dj to "tip" while we're on stage especially on fri/sat nights when its busy. The bonus for men i suppose will b that they can put it in our garter or whatever, they think theyre getting something from you. And their was talk of bringing in "tip cash" with the dance vouchers, so they can buy like £20 worth of £1 vouchers and then tip with them, so even if we lose a percentage on each £1 it would still be worth doing stage shows.
Damnit, i did the same thing as you and missed the quote button, reply to smeca xx

We have "tipping dollars" in Sydney. The clubs were I work are $2 denominations and the waitresses run around selling them like hot cakes. Guys buy them in bundles of $10. After house share and tax they are worth about $1.40-$1.50 to us. But people are always tipping. Stages earn us on weekdays $20-$80 usually and weekends $50-$150 or sometimes a lot more. I like that system. Some people still tip cash too. That's why I like where I work, when all else fails you at least can always make money on stage and on busy nights with all stages open we could have up to 7 girls on stages so $$$ for all :)

I'm nervously trying to find time in my schedule to go back for my second night of stripping since I quit over a year ago.
Ironically, I made so much money on my first night back that I intimidated myself! I've convinced myself that that first night must've been a fluke, and that I won't make anything next time I go in (I drive an hour and a half to get there, so this would be a waste of time and money).
I have this ridiculous fear that the entire club expects me to make that much every time I work. Arrrgh!! Why am I so in my head about stripping? :(

You went to a super gorgeous, big upscale club for one night? I have news that would otherwise sound really bitchy, but in your situation it's not: They do not remember you. They don't remember how much you made and they don't really care how much you make when you get back. The more upscale the club, the more self absorbed everyone who works there is- from the managers to the dancers to the freaking valet guys. They really, truly, do not care about you.
I definitely feel you on the intimidating yourself thing. I do it all the time. Ever since I started having tons of $800+ nights with the occasional $1000+ night my stress at work has sky rocketed because the stakes are higher. It's so much easier to intimidate yourself when you go in at 8:00 and say "ok, last Saturday I made a rack so this Saturday I need to too! That means I have 6 hours to make $1000 plus $200 for house/tips!" That's so stressful! You chat with someone, they get one $20, you get called to stage, and all of a sudden its 8:47 and you have approximately $36 toward your $1000+ goal?? Then the stress really kicks in. So now I try to just focus on small goals. "Okay, it's 8:00 and there are already some people here. I want my house fee by 8:40." "okay it's 10:25 and I have $320. I want to hit $400 by 11." That makes it soooo much easier on you mentally. Not only that, but when you are aiming for $1000, when you have $200 you feel like you have nothing. Like, WTF am I supposed to do with $250? Wipe my ass? But when you are just concentrating on getting that hundred by hundred you remember that 2,3,400 is still a lot of money so you feel like the night is already "worth it" even though you still have a few hours left on your shift.
Hopefully it makes sense to you. Right now I am trying to improve my mindset because there's no reason why I should be in the lower half of earners. Absolutely no reason. And there's no reason why you won't make just as much money (if not more) next time you go in!
Good call, good call. And I hear you on the "no one remembers you" thing. That would be clearly true, except I made (by far) the most money of anyone in the club, and the manager decided to make a scheduling exception for me because of how much I made. Granted, I'm sure you're still right...but I have reason to believe that expectations have been raised for me (this club doesn't have open scheduling...I have to call the GM next time I want to work, in which case he will have to remember me in order for me to get scheduled again).
I really shouldn't even be thinking about the money. All I want to make is my share of rent (a measly $425 + utilities) every month through stripping. And I have a corporate job where I make waaaay more than enough to cover that. The pressure I put on myself is ridiculous!

!
This is so true and i need to keep reminding myself of this when im irritated that i have "only" made £4/500 at 3:30am. I was all miserable cause it had been a long and tough shift and then i got home and was like "hang on, reality check, that used to be an ENTIRE months work in your hand...from one evening, get a grip!"
Its so hard when you put the pressure on yourself to earn more and then you are constantly stressing when you feel like you havent done well "enough"
Charlie you are gorgeous and hot and wonderful!
