I am going to lose 2 stone in 8 weeks... I'm so excited. I'm so motivated to do this. I WILL be hot again. I WILL wear shorts. I will lose this stupid extra chub on my face and get some sort of bone structure back.
Thank god for meal replacement diets. Thank god for the shady people selling this stuff without consultation, ha! I can't be trusted to eat like a normal person. I'd rather spend £60 a week on meal replacements for the rest of my life than be this fat ever again.

They called asking for my 4 year old son (since that's the card the books were checked out on) and my husband said he was busy coloring. lmfao

I love this child more than I can even explain, but I'm at the end of an already very frayed rope, and I'm not getting much help. I'm supposed to work all night... fat fucking chance... guess I'll mosey on over to the keurig....
Hang in there.........
it may not seem like much solace right now....but keep telling yourself its only temporary. It gets easier every year.....(until you have a teenage girl...then it gets harder again.)

I'm a super unoriginal git apparently. Trying to come up with a low-profile, ambiguous name for my LLC, but all of my ideas so far are taken. Business name/brand is on lock and has been garnering a lot of interest in the past year since its soft launch, but this part is proving to be difficult.

Am I right in seeing most breeders as mercenary and dishonest? I'd like to adopt a dog (a large breed), but I'm not paying 2K+ for what more than likely is a mutt (genetic weaknesses that aren't brought up because I haven't been told what other breed may be in there. Costly heartbreak waiting to happen). Plus, with this site I'm currently on, the fact that pricing drops from that to about 15% of what it originally was if the puppy in question is 6 months or older makes me wary. I know puppies older than 12 weeks may be a hard sell for most people, but jeez. I assumed the outrageous prices had to do with "pure" or "champion" lines and therefore age shouldn't have that much of an impact. :|
Pricing based on "cute" factor is bullshit. But it works. Saw an unfortunately sullen yorkie pup sell over her more sweet tempered and interactive litter mates simply because she had a bow in her fur.
Check out shelters and rescue groups. You'd be surprised how many purebreds are there. Plus you will save a life. Yes most breeders are despicable people and I do not think highly of most because money only is their agenda.

Some breeders really do care about their dogs and the lives of the litters. Some, not so much. If any one is trying to get you to take home a pup that is less than 8 weeks old, run away from them. Such pups are deprived of litter-mate and mom interaction. These experiences go a long way to helping the pup learn to limit its actions. Having these experiences in the pup's history makes your life with the pup easier.
I have been a foster home for Alaskan Malamutes since late spring 2001. Before that, I raised 3 malamute pups and kept them (individually, over 20 years) as family members. All of them were basically good dogs. The foster dogs were by far the easiest to have around. It is as if they did not understand why they had been thrown in jail (animal control). When they got bailed out (brought into foster care) they wanted to be the best canine family members they can be.
Unless you have lots of energy and good training skills, an adult dog may be a fine choice. They can learn important things fast. Just take care to give lots of positive, enthusiastic re-enforcement's.
Good luck

I hate that people on SW LOVE to give n00bs false hope.
Someone comes in and asks if they're hireable and while they OBVIOUSLY have a much lower shot than average... everyone is just like "Oh yeahhhhh! You'll totally get hired!"
"One leg? Some guys have an amputee fetish!"
"600 pounds? There are SO many men into BBW's! Wear a corset and no one will notice you have a few extra pounds!"
"Had throat cancer and have to speak with an electrolarynx? Just smile a lot so people know you're being upbeat!"
"Burn scars over 75% of your body? Just use dermablend!"
Sometimes it's just fucking nicer to be like "realistically, you have a poor chance at getting hired." Than set people up for failure.
The worst is when everyone keeps telling girls to throw money at the problem "Buy a corset" "Get extensions" "Buy better shoes" "Get your nails done" "Get a spray tan" and it's obviously someone who is never going to get hired. Just. Ugh.
Idk. It really bothers me.

I feel like this is so hypocritical at the moment because I am the size of a whale... But i'm sure it's this idea of 'everybody is beautiful in their own way' which is making the industry suck. I've just quit working for a couple of months because I'm losing confidence because of my weight. I don't feel like a dancer anymore. But I'm fed up of the poor standards in my current club. We lose custom because of it... In fact all clubs in the area are losing custom because of it. Guys expect substandard girls.
When I go back to dancing in 8 weeks I'm going somewhere else, maybe another city. I was actually fed up at being told I was the best looking girl in the room. I know guys say that all the time to every girl who dances - but on some nights I knew it was true. Even with my current weight problem. I don't want to work in a club where I am the hottest thing in the room when I am NOT 'dancer' standard.... Sure, I got money because of it, but nothing close to the money I used to get when standards were better. I'm not saying everyone has to be a ten out of ten. I'm just saying dancers should be hired because they are 'hot' by normal standards... Not just because they're a) female and b) willing to take it off.
Higher hiring standards = more customers = more money.
I'm sure this is a rant heard a thousand times before. But stripping should be a hotness meritocracy, not equal rights for all.

Pet stores often obtain their puppies from puppy mills, which, through too much inbreeding, have done a lot of damage to the genetics of certain breeds. I would not be surprised if the online venues are either sponsored by puppy mills or obtain their puppies from these places.
You might want to consider calling your local Vets and boarding kennels for referrals to quality local breeders.
Try a hunting or working breed people prize those for their actual ability, not just bloodline, some places have the parents on premises

Please stop picking on me. Just because I am 600 pounds, have one leg, had throat cancer, and have burn scars doesn't mean I won't get hired. Oh and I never shave either, but some men like that.
I would say most of the newbies who have post photos saying "can I get hired" can't at most clubs. I remember...a woman asking if she was too heavy to dance and so many were saying "men like big girls". She was far too big to be hired at all but the diviest bars. I always mention that many clubs turned me down for being "big" though I was usually at most a size 6 or 8, and sometimes even a 4. Dancers are supposed to be the cream of the crop lookwise and not everyone can be one, just like not everyone can be an athlete.

Yeah. It's often a case of "if you have to ask, the answer is no."
But in those cases... more often than not everyone is like "Oh yeah, here's this massive list of shit to spend money on in preparation!" and then the girl winds up unable to be hired anywhere anyway. It's happened more than once... but people still do it. :(
It's really sort of mean, imo. Meaner than just being like "No, you probably won't be hired."

I would think it's nicer to be told online one is not acceptable to dance then go to a club and have a manager be mean. That's just how I look at it though, because why spend time auditioning when one will be rejected anyway? I'm sure all of us have horrible stories of jerk managers being cruel when they reject. One poster comes to mind, she was clearly overweight and to be blunt not very attractive yet people were still telling her she would get hired (I believe it was at a gown club too).

Of course it is, don't you know? After all an ugly girl who can hustle will always make money (sarcasm). An attractive dancer with excellent hustling skills could make more than a hot dancer with poor skills, an ugly dancer with strong hustling skills probably still won't make as much as a better looking dancer. Of course we could all vary on pretty versus hot, but most of us would agree on what is not attractive to most people.

As a former manager used to say in a former club, 'This IS a beauty contest, ladies, so take appropriate measures.'
Time and time again I see formerly good clubs that lowered their standards losing their crowd. And/or clubs formerly behind the front runners leap to the head of the competition because they started hiring only really cute girls. That just happened here in Key West lol.
But unfortunately more clubs are taking the wrong direction--probably because of the house fees, but also in a counterproductive competition to have the 'most girls on rotation'.
But the 'Everyone is beautiful' thing gets old and isn't true, when it comes to running a business based on sex appeal.
Imagine Chippendale's Male Review using that as their slogan, and trotting out the fat guys too if they wanted to join up.

I have known a very few stunning girls who just sucked at hustling and didn't make much money, so it's not all looks. The smart managers and DJs did whatever they could to try to make them happy, though--because they drew guys in the club and to the tiprail.
But a beautiful hustler will destroy an unattractive hustler when it comes to monthly Champagne Room totals.

We picked up our Bengal kitten last night. Four hour drive there, then four hours back. I've been trying to be nice and let my boyfriend bond with him first since he's never had a pet before, but the little guy is so damn cute--it's hard not to swoop in there while they're sleeping and steal him. My boyfriend goes to work at noon today, so you can bet your ass I'm getting some maximum cuddle time as soon as the door shuts. If people were half as cute as kittens, I'd understand why all of my friends want babies.

I once worked with a stunner who never made much money. The reason was she was lazy and would sit in the dressing room all night who bitched. I made much more than her though I always felt she was prettier than me. Maybe she wasn't (I tend to be very insecure with my looks)but if she had hustled she would have made more.

I am reminded of that Saturday Night Skit where Chippendales is deciding between Patrick Swayze and Chris Farley and that is how many clubshave become. Recently while surfing the web I saw the website of a club I worked at many years ago. At the time the club prided itself on the centerfold quality dancers it had and when I got hired I was astounded they hired me because everyone there was a 10. Anyway on their website they posted photos and most of the dancers are flat out ugly and many are overweight. Someone here once posted the website where they worked at the dancers on that website were also dancers who never would have gotten hired at the clubs I tended to work at (midlevel).

Yeah I always want to post the still shot from that skit on FaceBook, in reply to the near-daily 'Every woman's body that has ever existed in all human history is a flawless Work of Art.' status updates. And so is Chris Farley--that's really a beautiful body!

Yes Chris Farley's body was "curvy". Reminds me of something I saw recently about online dating and how most people are overweight doing it. I think it was average: fat, athletic:fat but delusional and full figured; really fat. By today's standards curvy means really fat but many years ago curvy meant a woman with a nice figure and large breasts.

Someone retired because they weren't making money? I remember threads like those, or the women who worked like a week giving dancing advice. That's not why I retired, though technically I never retired because I still do parties from time to time. I got tired of the club crap and because I could, I walked away. But yes if one isn't making money as a stripper it makes more sense to leave the business because either the dancer is not a good hustler or just isn't pretty enough (and yes that is blunt). Plus too the business has changed and not for the better. One club I danced at went from no touch bikini/topless with pasties to full nude full contact. That's why I rarely post in Hustle Hut because a lot of the advice I would give would be outdated.
