Done with classes for the semester... just one more written final next week. I feel immensely lucky to be one of the few students to be graduating college without any debt. My family could never afford to help me with classes, but through scholarships, I was able to pay for every last penny. I really hope something changes for students who weren't as lucky as I was. I know many people who were talked into taking loans for college ("They'll pay for themselves a thousand times over when you graduate!") and now they have tens of thousands of dollars of debt and no job prospects. I think witnessing my mother's rocky finances while growing up made me leery of debt/credit cards/loans early on. Now, I have an apartment, a car, food in my fridge, etc. I may hit $0 in my account sometimes, especially since I've been concentrating on my thesis since February, but I'm going back to the club next weekend and I want to put aside a nice savings account, then slowly tick goals off my list. Feeling optimistic is a nice change.

I swear to god I don't TRY to start fights with people on my friend's facebooks... but at least once every other month someone randomly goes off on me on someone else's status. lol
lmao, I was laughing so hard, even my sister was like WTF is that other girls problem?
Even customers at work always say how they won't come in when she's there...she's bitchy, they say.
I just deleted everything, not because of that, just because it started to get TOO personal..(which is my fault, for always being too personal lol) :P

There was an episode in chat a few months ago that upset me quite a bit with regards to how many people here whom I respect a lot view me. I took a hiatus from this site after that both because I decided to not bother people whom I tend to - unintentionally but apparently frequently - upset, and because MM & I have had a ton of shit on our plate lately & I just wasn't feeling social.
Tonight I was just bored with TV while MM was at work & decided to come say hi. I'm going to post rather differently from here out though, as the aforementioned issues with people's reactions really do concern me.
Thanks for the welcome back! :)

Put on a heel for a "normal job" interview, walked to the mirror, heel broke. Looked in the closet and realized those were the only ones I brought when I moved, besides my stripper platforms with tiny chains on them. I genuinely considered them for a moment. Flats it is, I guess.

I don't like to see guys bully and/or harass those physically smaller than themselves. Such guys need to be beaten to within an inch of their lives, so that when they are lying in the hospital bed with nothing to do but think, they will hopefully realize that they are in fact assholes, and will from then on do everything they can to make themselves better human beings.

^ Lol thanks. It wasn't like an insane, vulgar number, but compared to where I was it finally feels like this job is worth it. I mean, I knew I'd gotten good at selling but was still making the same as at my first club where I didn't grow much or make much. Actually throw in some customers and what a difference that makes!
Sounds stupid but girls that passed through painted pictures of all clubs in the surrounding towns being just as dead and I just figured I was a pretty naff stripper. But this club's way more popular and I can see now how different my attitude is to many of the girls who bitch about a shit night at the end, when I'm buzzing off exceeding my targets with little effort! :D

MM's pseudo-mom (not her natural mother or her adopted mother, but a woman who has been closer to her than either for most of her life) is awesome. Such a sweet lady all around, and just gave us a substantial amount of money *not a loan* because she heard we were hurting and wanted her girl to be okay. People like this are why I pay it forward when I'm doing well. It's good to know there are others out there.

It would be kinda funny -in a sick, morbid kind of way- if a SW member died and whomever was in charge of cleaning up her estate changed her SW mood to "dead". It strikes me as something my parents (who don't understand the internet or forum boards at all) would do.

A guy I know died of an overdose on NYE. He left his facebook logged in and his big brother changed his facebook status to something similar... Might try and find it. Kinda morbid and on the edge of being gross but it's kind of hilarious too. I love that even after death they still had banter. Some people were really offended but most people saw the fun side.

Those kind of jokes about super serious stuff are so my friends & I, even my family. Trouble is, not everyone shares that sense of humor to be sure. Ofttimes even people you think will get it don't, and it can get real awkward real fast. I actually run into this here on SW more than I ever would have suspected.
A prime example of this (not on SW, but this morbid humor in general) happened in high school. A close friend was killed when his car was hit by a train. It was a very dangerous intersection that people had been trying to get changed for years; but he was crossing the tracks, saw the train coming at the last second (that was the problem - trains always sped through there and you could barely see 100 yards down the tracks because of a hill and a bend) and when he hit the gas his car stalled (according to witnesses). The freight train was traveling at 72 mph according to the official investigation - it wasn't pretty.
At the service, myself and a few other of his friends were standing at his - closed, no viewing on this one! - coffin. We were all car guys. Everyone stood there all somber for a few seconds, and then I rapped gently on the coffin lid and said quietly "I told you not to buy that POS Mustang, man." My buddies were stifling laughter so hard everyone noticed. We got a LOT of dirty looks.
Thing is, I know he would have thought it appropriate, and I hope he would have done something similar were our positions reversed. It was the nature of our friendship, and death doesn't change that.

You met each other irl? I am so jealous. I'd love to meet both of you along with so many others (too many to name). I don't think he's controversial at all, just that maybe some take things the wrong way. I've had people take things I've said the wrong way too.
