"...When something called a Skrillex got famous for sonically reproducing the sound of two fax machines fucking." - Cracked.com. Epic quote is epic.
Have you heard this yet? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHjpOzsQ9YI Lindsey Stirling is AMAZING. I don't like much dubstep, but this actually brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful.
I like the violen but still can't stand the dub part.

For some reason the contrast between the classic violin over the dubstep beat really works for me. Like unbelievably so. Wants more!

Ugh, dumb girl at Sephora tried to argue with me when I told her that their product broke me out because I think I'm allergic to salicylic acid. "You can't be allergic to salicylic acid." Yes, I can bitch. I work in skincare/cosmetics, I know what I'm talking about. Okay, I left out the "bitch" part, I'm not that mean.

Our ex was (is/whatever lol) allergic to salicilyic acid. Messed her up because for years she was prescribed and used more and more powerful acne medications - you know, with more and more salicylic acid in them - to try to control the ever-spreading and worsening acne before her dermatologist figured out the issue. Messed up her skin really badly. :(

Omg. I hope her skin improved, how horrible. My skin looked bad enough just using it for a week (back to normal now).

I <3 Dubstep and Skrillex, but Skrillex =/= Dubstep. Too much "skreee", not enough "wub".

Today I feel very grateful & blessed.
I'm glad I don't let oxytocin let me stick to asshole shitty men. I just don't understand why some girls I know stick to shit fkn men. I really don't. Don't let your emotions control into staying with worthless pieces of shit, ladies... life is short and beautiful to waste it with waste. Thank God I don't feel THE NEED to have a man. IF I have one, it's bc we want each other. Being needy must suck royal ass.
I have a body of an 18 year old at 31. Lots of men think i'm 24-25. That's bc i'm rested and not stressing. Kept hearing this all night last week. That means, I can keep stretching into this business a bit longer if I wanted to. :)
I have great friends & family.
I love that I can get whatever I want, when ever the fuck I want.
Damn I feel great today. That doesn't happen often.

Glad to hear you are doing well, Vyanka. Better by far being free from the need for any one other person. Not always easy to get into that state of mind, but it's always worth the effort.

Good for you Vyanka! The hardest thing for some people to come to grips with is the prospect of being alone. Lots of bad relationships go on for far too long because someone would rather be miserable than be alone.
Enjoy!

I think I'm going to make a little sign and start charging to do girls hair and makeup.
Since I do it for free and constantly get asked anyway...start charging $10.
Wanna borrow an outfit? Cool, another $5.
I don't mind loaning stuff out to friends, or helping friends with their hair and makeup, but when it comes an every day thing..OMFG!
Especially when a lot of these girls make enough money to go buy a $10 eyeshadow palette or $3 coverup.
Come on now!!!
I hate being so fucking nice...seriously, I wish I could just be a giant fucking bitch and be like, "no you ho bag, you're not borrowing my dress, my concealer, my eyeshadow, garter, shoes...etc, etc"
I mean, the other night, at the end of the night 3 different girls came up to me returning my shit!!
Thank goodness, FOR ONCE, my shit got returned, but..omfg!!!!
I don't mind certain people, but when it's girls I don't really talk to and suddenly think we're BFF's because I was nice to her one night and now just takes advantage of my generousity.
I'm just tired of being walked all over...and I allow to happen, and just sit here and bitch about it.
Well..not anymore..no more Miss Nice Girl!!! >:(
i strongly reccomend you tell them no. i had the same problem with my housemate, she thought she was entitled to using everything coz shes my friend also, she always broke stuff! when i told her i have boundaries and im tired of receiving my shit broken and she can resume to borrowing shit once she learns to look after her own belongings, she flipped the switch and went crazy, threw 'everything shes ever done for me' in my face, then moved out the next day. generally when people dont respect your belongings it means they dont respect you as a person and friend and quite frankly i dont find that attitude to be deserving of borrowing my limited edition converse shoes, new iphone or computer.
on another note
i think im one of those people who should never diet. ever. i tried to cut out all the junkfood i loved instead of having it seldom in moderation and two days later my bed is a picnic with pizza, doritos, popcorn, caramel and chocolate. i shoulda left things as they were it was working out fine for me. now i feel soooo fat n full n horrible. once my money is more stable i will invest in somesort of exercise regime but no more dieting... i swear

Oh yeah, I just made a price list, posted it on FB and am heading in tonight to post this on my locker and the mirrors:
Here's my price list for hair and makeup.
Eye makeup - $4
Eye makeup WITH eyelashes (I'll provide them) - $7
Full face WITH eyelashes, blush, foundation, gloss - $11
Hair curled - $13
Hair straightened - $5
Hair teased - $3
If you just want to USE any of my makeup, $3.
I buy my shit super cheap, and I know most of you girls can afford $3 coverup lol
I realize that I'm TOO nice and why am I using MY makeup, MY time to make other girls look hot?? lmao
(that's taking money away from me lol)
So, it's time I start getting paid for my stuff and my time.
I realize this may make me sound like a complete bitch, but time is money. I usually don't mind, but some people are just expecting it now.
Want to borrow an outfit?? I need at least a $25 LOAN. I'll hold onto the money, and when you return my dress to
me at the end of the night, I'll give you $20 back. Keeping $5 for wear and tear.
This is depending on the dress of course....
Borrowing a garter: $10, I'll return $8 to you once it's returned.
I'll stop doing hair and makeup at 6:50....I'm not going to be late onto the floor.
First come, first served.
I hope you all understand.
xoxo
Here's my schedule for the week:
Tuesday 7/3
Friday 7/6
Saturday 7/7
Sunday 7/8
Monday 7/9
I'm always here at 6:00, so come in early and I will do what I can to help with your hair/makeup.
I realize now that I'm going to charge girls, no one will want anything, but that's COMPLETELY fine with me.
I believe these prices are fair, so, I guess we'll see lol

^ Thats a great idea, I would higher the prices/round them up a bit if it were me to 10,15,20,25 etc dollars. Just a thought girls might bargin prices for lower or randomly go "oh I only have a 5 so Ill give you the 2 later cool?"
I hope it goes well though Avery!

Your prices are way too low! You'll do some chick's hair and makeup for $16?? When YOU provide the fake lashes?? Daaaayum!!! That's crazy, girl.
I'd just post the price list and cut out all of the other words. Cuz if people don't understand why you're asking for money, then they are out of their fucking minds.
_Avery_

Yeah, everyone keeps saying the prices are really low, but I just want to see if anyone responds to it.
The eyelashes I get are only $3, so at least I'm making a profit off those.
I just went and bought a few things of dollar makeup, so everything is pretty much profit.
Hopefully girls will realize that they can get CHEAP makeup and still make it look good and just leave me alone lol

^Alternatively, you could get serious about this and actually make a killing. I'd pay $30 to have someone do my hair and makeup before a shift. If you're going to do it, then really DO IT. Don't do it just to prove a point. Do it to make money. Otherwise you're wasting your time!

Right? It seems like it would be SO easy to do nothing but hair / makeup (you could charge a measly price of $5 throughout the night to do touchups) and make more than the other girls some nights. Even if you just make $50/night, that's significant!!

So I drop by Bloomingdales to pick up some new boxers in 32-34.
There are two of those zippered plastic packages, sized 32. That's good -- a start.
But there is nothing else. Nothing even close. Most sizes are 42 and up, going to 44 or 46 or 48 (WTF?). My CHEST is 44.

I agree that Nordstrom has some nice options. More for women than for men.
Speaking of options for women, have you ever tried Aubade?
Aubade is a high-end French lingerie line that looks just amazing when you wear it.
But it's crazy, insane expensive -- I think the least I've ever spent on an Aubade shopping trip with a girlfriend is $2,750, and that was for two bras and two panties. But this is art that is lingerie that is breathtaking.
An example (sorry, in French):
The thing about Aubade is that the pictures just don't do it justice. You have to try it on, wear it, and see what your boyfriend does.
Mostly he stops speaking.

Aubade really isn't much more expensive than VS. Never heard of them before, but I was looking at their website. I don't see what you bought that would have cost over $2,000. I'm not saying you're exaggerating or anything, I'm just trying to find the expensive pieces.

The expensive pieces are in their boutiques and are not available online. The website selection is very limited.
Aubade is very French, so they are all about seduction and exclusivity and rarity. The word "aubade" in English refers to a lyric poem shared in the morning with a lover before leaving.
They also have heart-stoppingly awesome lambskin elbow-length gloves, lace masks, leather crops and other toys, but it's always best to shop in the boutiques themselves where they carry all of these items.
Take your man with you. They expect you to shop together, and the man to always pay. It's very quaint and charming in the classical European style.

LOL, tell me about it -- are you guys still fighting that crazy battle in BB?
What seems new about the men's sizes -- at least in things like Ralph Lauren boxers -- is that the smaller ones have just disappeared. Gone. So that makes it sort of the opposite of what happened historically in "fashionable" women's sizing.
It's sort of funny that they don't actually carry the sizes the male models are wearing.
