Oh jesus, this makes me so happy. I have always wished, literally, that there was an injectable solution that would increase melanin production, and thought surely it was possible. It is and I never knew!
I am an ethnically Maori (native) and Scottish New Zealander and I am really pale for how Maori I am, and I hate it. If this works, I will be in heaven. Thank you so much for sharing!!

I missed about five days of injections because I had to fly to a funeral and didn't want to take it with me on the plane so I'm not sure what day I'm on now.
I just started my second 10 mg bottle though. Some of my freckles were dark black last week but now they've faded and look normal again.
I had to switch from light ivory makeup to creamy beige so it's a noticeable difference. I have a decreased appetite which doesn't bother me and I started getting a stomachache again after the injections. I take them at night though and it's not bad enough to keep me awake.
At this rate, I'll be as dark as I want to be before I'm done with 20 mg. Then I can stop taking it daily.
One more before and after for a limited time....

J.D. could say she rubs poop on her face and half of us would rush out and do the same hoping we'd look like her!
I'm definitely interested in trying this, might have to order it once I get paid... Anyone have any updates? Still working well??

Eating vegetables with high levels of carotine such as carrots and brocoli help the body to make it's own melotin. Also I do not believe what they say about sun exposure causing cancer I think it is the sun screen causing the rise in skin cancer.

This is incorrect. Carrots do not help your body make melanin, I'm assuming that's what you meant because I have no idea what melotin is. Carrots and other vegetables rich in carotenes (vegetable version of vitamin A) do help your skin, but too much carrots, pumpkin, or sweet potato will turn your skin a slight orange color because of the excess beta carotene. I think maybe in ten years we will find out that all the chemicals in sunscreen can actually do more harm than good for your skin, but there's always physical sunscreens (non chemical) that perfectly fine (zinc).

JD - I ordered my kit, but am afraid to start due to my kidney issues. What do you think about that? You think this stuff could complicate the whole kidney thing?

YES! Don't do it! Go to the doctor first and make sure everything is functioning properly. You are still injecting something into your body that will be filtered through your kidneys.

Im interested now! I pay $50 a month to use the mystic tan and Palm Beach and I can never seem to get an even tan and when it fades it gets splotchy and gross. It seems pretty inexpensive for the starter pack but I was wondering how much you have to use after you have reached your desired color. As in, how much do you have to order every month or so? What is the up keep cost monthly?

in recent time, ive used one bottle, i sunbed once or twice a week and im a good colour. If i sunbed more than 3 times a week i look a bit toooo dark and it looks bad, next bottle i will probably start maybe jan, SO id say abt one bottle every few months.
I know people who literally use a bottle a week, far too excessive if u ask me! only expense after intitial lay out for tan is the sunbeds.

Hey! If you decide not to use what you ordered, I'll buy it off you. I've been wanting to get it. I'll probably need to wait a little while before I can afford it though, hopefully you'll still have it by then.

Ive had issues with my kidneys and the jab-a-tan hasnt had any ill effect on them as far as i can tell. Been using it about 7 months and havent had a single onfection or pain or problem with them, and considering its December and i usually am at the height of kidney illness when its cold at night im hoping ill be ok!

Alright, I'm convinced :D I bought 10mg of Melanotan II online yesterday, will be here within a few days.. My housemate is a registered nurse, so she's offered to jab me, hahah

I want to see more pictures of this! I'm excited though. I've been interested in various products. I was reading a body builder's thread so here's some more details, though keep in mind they might be taking crazy amounts compared to what some of us would want: http://forums.steroid.com/archive/index.php/t-264763.html
One person also recommended melanocorp.com for a US made product. It seems to be more expensive by about 15%. I'll probably buy it from there, and perhaps do the M1 since one of the poster's here made a convincing argument for using M1 versus M2. To each their own though so long as you're doing your research to determine what you're comfortable with.

Let us know how it goes!
I still have the thought of getting this.. I do not tan a lot.. if all rarely. But do like a certain tan look on me.. A summer look per-say with a touch of glow. But Im scared of buying this due to getting more moles, I got way more within 2 years and I havnt been in the sun a lot.
FiendishGyrator
12-20-2010, 11:14 AM
^you can make moles fall off with apple cider vinegar, but you have to be careful to slather the surrounding area with vaseline and then you tape a tiny piece of cotton soaked in the stuff. If you go to sleep doing that three or so nights in a row, the mole hardens up like a scab and then falls off. Underneath is a smaller version of the mole and you keep doing it until you have a mole you like or the mole is gone. I've done it on a face mole that has gotten irregular sized and texture and made it go down to a small mole. Lasted about a year or two and I need to do it again.

Thank you for the link! I'm interested in this product and have been following this thread. From that info I found that
melanocorp.com got shut down by the FDA(because the drug has not been tested, not because anything bad happened). I think they just reopened shop outside the US as www.melanica.com. Looks like none of us will be able to get US made supply unless we wait years for FDA trails. Perhaps this site is a little less sketchy than ordering from China? Has anybody tried them?
FDA trails are in the process at least, article here (http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/01/tan/).
There is a forum just for melanotan discussion here (http://melanotan.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl).

^yes, I realized after I posted it that I could find nothing on their website about being made in the US so it must be old news.
Hmmmmm. I'm more inclined to think though (and perhaps I'm wrong) that they would still not be selling made in China melanotan. I'll have to put on my to-do list to email them and ask.

How much are you injecting? ive never had tingly legs, tingly stomach whe ive injected and sicky feeling but i know my boy has injected too much before now and has felt tingly.
I used to 5 iu a day and then moved up to 10. The slower you inject the less it tingles and the less you feel sick.

Day 5 today and considering I started off pretty much alabaster white, I have only really darkened on the parts that were already a little tan (like my driving arm) :( Have used the 10mg bottle already, waiting for my next lot to come (hopefully tomorrow) in the mail

I bought the starter kit, be forewarned though, it will darken your hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and bring out and darken any freckles you already have. You will look naturally dark, like it's your own color, since it even darkens your eye lids, lips, labia, etc.
Wow, I need to try this! I never ever get a tan even living in Florida for so many years. Too much the vampire, nor do I care that much about getting one, really. But it would be nice to get the people who always joke about no tan to shut up for a change. Except I don't want to go too dark. Is there a way to take just a little? And is it expensive?

I've been off it for about 2 months now cause I didn't like the side effects, but I am strongly considering going back on it. I also kinda felt like it wasn't working well, but now that it's "gone", I notice that it did help in making the skintone/tan very even, which looked a lot better than now...

Maybe up your sunbedding for a while, i did 5 days of 5IU injections, then started on 6 min sunbeds every two days, upped my dosoage to 10IU every coupld of days and upped my sunbed to 9 mins three times a week and was a nice dark, even colour.
It does take a while though, my first bottle didnt really make me tan (i am paaaaale naturally) but once id done my second bottle i came out a nice colour, i havent been sunbedding recently and ive gone a little bit pale so im going to start another bottle in the next week or so. If i keep up the sunbeds i dont need to inject, but it does take 3/4 weeks of sunbedding to get a deep tan.

Ok so I saw where this can make your hair darker and it turned a ginger into a brunette.
I'm blond and love the blond hair all over my body and dont want it turning brunette.
Sooo has anyone had their hair turn darker?
This may not be bad though if I wanna do laser hair removal, it can finally turn my blond hair brown so the laser can zap it.

My husband and I both have had issues with our hair darkening. My husband is normally a dirty blonde and his hair is brown now. I'm having problems because I'm a redhead with about 40% white hair and my red hair now looks dark brown when my roots grow out. My leg hair has also darkened from blonde to brown.
I guess it doesn't happen to everyone but it happened to both of us. Also, my fingers are too dark. It's not a huge difference but I feel like my fingers look slightly dirty now. My husband has not had this problem.
It's really not like being tan at all for me. I'm normally super white and now I look darker but not really tan darker, if that makes sense. It's like I look like I just have naturally darker skin, like I'm more ethnic. My face getting darker kind of bothered me too. Usually you protect your face when you tan but now it's the same color as the rest of my skin and it's kind of weird. I've never been this dark before and I look like a different ethnicity now. I like it but it took a little getting used to.

I am petrified of needles too, so I'm really proud that I have started to inject myself :) Once it pops though the skin, doesn't hurt at all though.. there have been a couple of times when I've injected so quickly and easily, I've surprised myself and pulled the needle out by accident... Sigh! Haha
