Great snappy comebacks sir. :highfive:
You really got me :rotfl: with those.
 you can't learn that kind of wit in college, you pick that up on the streets!
Wow, Dane Cook has nothing on you.
Now, back to :lurk: mode for me.
Yea I just do my best to be funny, I hope nobody takes me seriously. HB seemed to take it seriously when I told him to go look at the web site , after he thanked a post by Athena saying that me kissing a stripper was indirectly blowing an old man. It's like, even when you pick on yourself around here, people still think you're being serious.

Actually, most of us try to interject a little humor here and there. That's fun and adds to the entertainment value of the site. But at the end of the day in order to be taken seriously (and not ultimately rejected as fluff and without knowledge of what is what) you have to show some sort of solid base upon which you build your contributions to the site. Get it?
Regarding saying that I am okay with anything, please ask beforehand. You have not been around here long enough to know what I would approve.
Thank you,
FBR

Didn't I just say I don't want to be taken seriously? The only serious things about this whole board is for everyone to stay safe and for the dancers to make what they deserve.
I don't understand your 2nd paragraph. I think it's OK for me to give as good as I get. If anyone doesn't want to get, they shouldn't give. If I get banned for that, well, shit happens.

Lib, this is true for any community anywhere. I attended a completely new group by a completely different community than I have ever associated with. I treated everyone with respect. Understood the issues that they stated, communicated my views on the subject, and listened intensely to their solutions for problems that they presented. Overall, it was a great success. If I had walked in and said things along the lines of "You don't know what you are doing, you should do something completely different, you need to use X instead of Y, why did you use that crap" or any other put down line, I would have been chased out of the place. The issue is how your treat people. For me, with dancers, I have found that 70% are "normal" people (is anyone really normal). they work for their money, go home after their shift, and work fairly normal lives. I'm not sure that this is different from the general population. While I have no love, or even liking, of some of the girls that post in blue, I recognize that they are not stupid, as you seem to imply.

Joe: I guess you are addressing me, even though you quote FBR. I think that your (if I'm remembering right) "implied facepalm" post directed at Kylea was very disrespectful. I don't think your characterization of my posts is very accurate. At worst I am no more harsh with others than they are with me. And I at least try to make it mildly amusing for 3rd parties who have to wade through it, rather than just repeating the same old insults (moron, idiot) over and over. I think dancers and custies tend to spew more bullshit than a large herd of cattle does, so I'm suspicious of any claims made here. Stripper is not the typical career path for a math major. Athena showed me what fer, I thought we all had a little fun with that.
If I'm expected to just serve as a punching bag, or we're supposed to act all stuffy, I'll be gone, banned or voluntarily.

The "face palms" pics are geared towards what I regard as a "dumb response." "Dumb responses" occur based on a number of factors besides the IQ of the person involved. sigh.......Problems happen when you don't explain enough, when you over explain, when whatever.
As for your comments about a math major, what is wrong with being an entertainer. If the money adds up faster, what's wrong with that? Now, I'm not talking about illegal activities, but just the basics. The girl I talked with on Friday was pretty open about her situation. She works 4 days per week, has a college degree in finance and accounting, and makes $115k/year. if you are 28 years old, is it better to make $65k/year or $115k/year was her view. Given Athena's apparent drive, I bet she could make more.
If I'm expected to just serve as a punching bag, or we're supposed to act all stuffy, I'll be gone, banned or voluntarily.
I don't think that anyone is asking you to agree with anyone in the basement. I know I don't. I definitely don't agree with the vocal ones in the penthouse. At the same time, there is no reason to fight over every perceived slight.

Saying that insulting a persons words is not insulting the person is an argument not worthy of anyone who's age is into double digits.

At one club near to me, dancers get free house fees if they can sell 100 dances per week. Only a few of them manage it. They make $20 per dance, so that would be $104K/year if they sold 100 dances per week, every week of the year. There are many dancers who bust their asses at that club, it's not because they're all lazy.
My belief that it's low probablity for a dancer to be a math major is supported by, guess what, MATH! People who major in math tend to be unattractive. People who major in math strongly tend to be male.
I don't think dancers tend to be dumb. I think dancers and custies both tend to be bullshiters.
... there is no reason to fight over every perceived slight.
The people I am "fighting" with could refuse to participate just as easily as I could. Why do I seem to be the only one being criticized for the arguing? And if you don't like it, don't participate, and don't read the posts of people who do. Or are you, like RD, also a priest of the Holy Order of Our Lady of the Hairy Palms, working to ensure that there are only tasteful and high-quality conversations about nasty perversion.

In my opinion, when the debate becomes a sort of: "You're gay"...."No, you're gay"...."oh yeah, well you're a big homo"...."yeah, well you're a bigger homo" sorta thing, well, like I said, it's kinda gone into the shitter.
I understand what you say about your humour being misunderstood at times. It's the nature of the beast on the web unfortunately.
Also, I appreciated the totality of that particular post. It was clever, and funny, and she seemed to put some serious effort into it. As someone who tosses off one liners most of the time without a whole lot of deep thinking, it makes me feel good to thank other's good efforts.
I may thank you too one of these days. Just don't go thinking we're friends or something if I do. I don't feel like being hazed by association.

Referencing the hand palm pic... I do think that response was uncalled for but I let it go. My point still stands though - this is "Stripper" web & all the bad mouthing of clean dancers here in the basement for not wanting to veer into prostitution does become annoying. I don't mind sharing the site with people in the prostitution industry or their customers because we are in similar fields. However, you don't come into ones home domain, bad mouth them, & still expect them to view you in high regard.

I've never been on this board with any other handle. But there's no reason for anyone to have confidence that's true. No one should be sure about anything they don't hear from someone they know and trust. So speculate away, it's as good a way to burn some time as a lot of others.
I'm sure you're not saying anything funny or off-beat automatically annoys the dancers on this board. I need to know more specifically the complaint to be convinced it's legitimate. I guess I overdid it with the sarcasm with Kylea since she is not very sarcastic herself. But even she laughed at the dirty diners post. I've accepted it now that I will never convince her of anything, so that should take care of that situation. If this board is going to be a little more than just pure fluff, I think it has to be permissable to challenge people on a claim they make like I did with Athena.
I bet you're just grumpy because there's already a foot of snow on the ground. Happy Thanksgiving! Oh wait, that's still a couple of weeks away.

Oh, no wait, I'm sorry, you're right, now I'm remembering seeing all those Wall Street people testifying before Congress. Damn Kylea, and now you have to go there and piss me off and I'm going to take us off on a tangent. These are somethings that I wish you gals in the penthouse would get.
I came to this site initially though SCJ. I don't remember signing up to somehow "Support Strippers." The gals in the penthouse are way to defensive for my taste and unrealistic regarding the state of the industry.
This is the basement, not the penthouse.
Not everyone in the basement is pro "lets convert clean strippers into hookers." I would appreciate if you would not smear us all with the same slanderous/libelous label.
I don't see massive lists of dancer escort names, clubs, phone numbers being publically traded in blue.

Calling bullshit on bad posts is not pomposity. You don't know what you are talking about yet you post away with abandon. Hey, I'm glad you are having fun but your approach is a bit pretentious.
For example, I don't know nearly as much about the escort scene as many on here, so I keep my mouth shut rather than try to tell them how escorts work. Or at the very least say IME since I realize that others may have a broader experience base.
I suspect that you are posting more to gain reaction than to actually add anything, so this is probably pointless, but there it is.

I think that we are all creatures of our experiences. If you had been through the lows I have been through, you would ever step foot in a SC. If you have associated with Mother Teresa (my nickname for someone), you would think that all entertainers walk on water and are the kindest, sweetest, most honest people ever. As always, the truth is somewhere in the middle. I view entertainers as merely a cross section of the the general population. There are some great people, and some not so great people. There are some true stories that are definitely stranger than fiction. Doesn't every group have that?

i dont, but i admit if i did not have my degree, i think i would develop a complex about it. because i know when people with an education are told that someone is smart due to street smarts, they retort with a condescending remark.
Why? While I have the benefit of a college education most of my knowledge is self-taught and very broad in scope. A lot of it literally off the streets.
Still on almost every level one can measure I honestly believe I am more successful than the majority of people holding Ph.D's I know personally [though certainly not all of them].
I make more money than most of them. I retired earlier than most of them. From strictly a results based perspective it appears to me I am more practical and have more common sense than most of them. While it is certainly measured with my own internal yardstick it appears to me I am also happier and have lived a fuller life than most of them [at least as measured against those people I know intimately and therefore know well enough to have a good idea of what their lives are about].
Candidly I find many, I said many NOT ALL, people of letters to be incredibly good at what they do that is specific to their area of expertise but not at all particularly good at life in general. It is almost like spending all that time becoming uber-proficient in one field has caused them to put blinders on to everything else.
Therefore, given a choice between spending the majority of my time learning a good amount about everything, or everything about one body of knowledge, I'll take the former and thank you very much.
Just saying...

As far as I can understand, what his problem is with me is that "ban" is one of the words that the Moderators who say "ni" cannot hear. I enjoy this board, but if the coversation is going to be constrained by arbitrary and ridiculous rules, well that's NOT fun.
I honestly don't understand what you're saying at all.
Im gonna start dancing soon . Im curious to know what guys and girls alike think is sexy? I have really no experience and am trying to learn. Which makes you like a dancer besides personality and appearance? To be honest, a stripper with no experience shifts me into Punk mode }:D But seriously, it will probably takes months for you to get your game developed. Of course being on the other side I have no idea what you might have to go through but I do like a dancer who can joust with me on equal footing }:D

^ You're adorable. I'm happy you're enjoying dancing so far, and that you're catching on. Not sure how much help this thread is/was, but I'm glad your putting yourself out there and hopefully making money. And yeah, it can be an amazing workout provided you're not lazy on stage (Like I am, hehe).

Just saying...
read my other posts following this one. I totally agree. Like I said I value my street smarts way more than my math degree although I do truly love math
But I made the descision to go o college at 17 or 18. Had I decided otherwse, i think the putdowns would have gotten to me. I didn't really become secure with myself till 19 or 20. And if I never went to college I would have felt "I could have maybe been... (insert something socially acceptable)".
But now that I have done college and seen how bogus a lot of it is, I know that my (un)common sense is totally the winner.
