Well I'll go ahead & chime in here bc I too have battled with a shopping addiction since I started dancing over 10 yrs ago. I've honestly gotten better at it over the last 2 years but if I have a great night at work, all of a sudden it's scary how I just "need a few new things in my closet" and I'll end up spending half of what I made. I've gotten smart though & save all my reciepts & keep the tags on stuff so if once i get home & try it on & over analyze it in the mirror I can just return it if it turns out I don't want it. I've been thru alot of emotional turmoil in the last year so my addiction spirals out of control from time to time , I just only really buy what I need. I lost alot of weight so naturally I'll buy new things & try too sell my old stuff to recycled clothing places or just give it away to friends. All you have to do is just "sleep on it" when you see something you crave at the moment. If you think about it the next few days go back & get it or grab it if it's on sale & reasonably priced (within your budget) :) Good luck everyone, you're not alone out there :/
Another shopping addict here! I always think to myself "If I have any money in my wallet I'll find a way to spend it!" I haven't been working for almost a year so not having money really made me become resourceful just to pay the bills and get necessities. Now that I'm back dancing and I have some money, you'd think I'd save it in case I can't work again. But no. I am a bit more careful but really not much.
I do the same thing though....keep tags and receipts and return stuff I don't actually need/want/love.
