Um, how isn't Cannibal Holocaust on this list? Or Gummo? I wasn't disturbed by Gummo but I found it disturbing ... if that makes sense, haha.

Anyway, I'm usually more disturbed in a psychological sense. Human Centipede and Cannibal Holocaust had me disturbed for a few days, but Eraserhead will haunt me forever.

oh my god.. human centipede.. i can't even bring myself to watch that entire movie i stopped it before the scientist guy even made them into the human centipede (i stopped it when he showed them his drawings and described how he was gonna do it)

I should probably just watch it but I'm afraid i'll get an image in my head that I'll never be able to erase!!

I thought I would never be able to erase the image either. It was stuck in my head non-stop for a full week or 2, then I pretty much got over it. I probably won't be watching Human Centipede II, just because I don't care to see 12 people shitting in the mouths of each other. 3 was bad enough.

I didn't think Human Centipede was that bad. I was expecting it to be really disturbing from what everyone said, but I thought it was pretty tame compared to the hype. I can't wait until the next one; that's what I expected the first one to be! Lots of people!

So just saw audition........this was touted as having the worst torture seen in a movie. People were supposedly passing out at the screening, give me a break. This was not disturbing in the least. Tadishi mike is way over rated after seeing two of his films and being unimpresed well except for the one in 3 extremes I won't be wasting my time on anymore of his films.

Animal Passions 1 & 2. The documentaries about bestiality. Puts "Zoo" to shame.

Not scary but wow talk about taboo, and the people in the documentary discuss it like its no biggie and the producer of the film did a great job keeping it judgment-free. After watching it I looked into forums about bestiality and there is a very thriving community... plus youtube videos of aroused horses that they consider porn.

And it isn't just men who are featured either. The documentary is really well done for covering such a taboo subject. But since it is taboo, Id put it in my own top15 disturbing films

Animal Passions 2 is a better quality on YT -
Preview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3aRebr75fg

The full film is on Youtube if you're curious.

Part 2 is a better quality and there are more people being interviewed (and women no less... the women appear to prefer dogs and small stallions) while in the first one it mostly focuses on one guy and his profound loneliness, social awkwardness, and his attempts to create a Zoophile community. He makes a reappearance (his name is Mark) but idk he pales in comparison to the new recruits.

The people in this one are a bit more omg D: & about the mmmmfucking since there are two married couples who have sex with their animals together. One couple separates over jealously over the animal sex.

Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xkFJG_-Zz0 (shortly in there are a group of guys watching a field of horses like they're in a strip club)
Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEJhfFmYa8k
Part 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHJBBQaot4Y (the family dog :( )
Part 4: http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJQ4AuAT14M (probably more disturbing since you hear them trying to explain away consent + the women talk more about dogs and dogsex... plus a totally unnecessary closeup of hands massaging meat.)
Part 5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cBukEchS3Q (more on dog sex, this one is less about sex and more about companionship)

Land ownership in America.

You also learn some e-lingo Zoophiles use like JRHNBR...or "Just the right height, no bucket required" aka - a horse you can penetrate without needing a bucket you can possibly fall off of.

I watched the preview, then I watched the 1st part of Animal Passions. The part where they were watching the field of horses was fucking disgusting. I hope these inbred bitches are shot and killed, because they're awful excuses for human beings.

Not me, but my parents were disturbed by Quills. They walked out during.

The infamous writer, The Marquis de Sade of 18th Century France, is imprisoned for unmentionable activities at Charanton Insane Asylumn. He manages to befriend the young Abbe de Coulmier, who run's the asylumn, along with a beautiful laundress named Madeline. Things go terribly wrong when the Abbe finds out that the Marquis' books are being secretly published. Emperor Napolean contemplates sending Dr. Royer-Collard to oversee the asylumn, a man famed for his torturous punishments. It could mean the end of Charanton and possibly the Marquis himself.

"THE" scene in irreversible...it didn't disturb me as much as i thought it would. it just went on too long. i think the most i've ever been disturbed by a movie was requiem for a dream which is considerably tamer than a lot of the torture porn horror movies i've seen. but it hits a note with me something fierce. i'm pretty desensitized to gore & typical horror storylines. the movies that get inside your head are the ones that fuck with me.

^ That's on the way........hope it's better than the previous films I've viewed that are suppose to be the most disturbing. Watched sheitan the other night has a house of 1000 corpses vibe but better and not as drawn out and the performance by vincent cassel ( irreversable) as a mentally disturbed wacko was outstanding!

So true- a sequel is meant to develop a story not present the same scenario with more/ddifferent characters

Martyrs and inside are overated I've seen stuff from the 70's far more disturbing. Martyrs could have been better had they just ended the movie when she discovered the secret area. The ending was good though and inside was ok but the lead actress made the movie suck for me and the storyline was weak......it was better overall than martyrs though, more creepy!

Okay, I'll admit it. The People Under The Stairs really freaks me out. It was on a few days ago and man I just can't get over the concept, lol

I also find something about The Dark Crystal to be completely distubing...

that was fucking HILARIOUS. i couldn't take it seriously. i found it actually more sad at the end than scary or disturbing. some parts were funny. in general, i wouldn't say it was horrifying at all.

The fucking Ring. No other "scary" movie has fucked with me as bad as the 1st damned Ring (okay 2nd if you count the Japanese one). 10 years later, a still hate walking past a turned off TV if I'm alone in the house, especially at night, lol.

Yes - the dark crystal was one of several '80's "kids" movies that were disturbing as hell. Watership Down was another one, and The Last Unicorn is the worst of them all!

Other disturbing childhood films:
Labyrinth and Star Wars(Darth Vader was scary).

The Ring is my favorite horror film by far. I've seen it a million times and it always freaks me out no matter how many times I watch it.
I thought I was the only one who hates walking past or being around turned off TV's.

Shit - 1st time I watched it, big group of friends. 1st weird thing - movie ended at EXACTLY midnight. 2nd thing - we stop the DVD - okay, who wants a ciga... *ring ring* goes the phone. At fucking midnight. Okay, who's being a jackass? EVERYONE holds up their cell phones - nobody in this room... Check the caller ID - BLANK. Not "unlisted" or "unavailable" - BLANK. Fuck that, I'm not answering it, and neither is anyone else in the room. Machione picks up, room goes silent as we all listen to the recording - and the beep... And 10 seconds of silence and then a click. FUCK THAT SHIT. Messed up 12 people at once, lol.

The TV in that apartment was in the main living room, which was dead center in the apartment. For the next 8 months, I no joke would walk out of my room, down the hall, through the kitchen and dining room around to the patio door instead of walking straight across that living room past the damn TV if I was alone at night, lol.

Human Centipede 1 didn't phase me. I was like 'meh' and I found out about the 2nd one and watch it.

Human Centipede 2 was awful, like "OMG, no....no...no...no, no, no, NO! OW, WHY GOD?!" I peeked through my fingers. The tooth breaking scene OH MY GOD. :-X

Jack Ketchum's Girl Next Door is pretty bad... It's based on a true story in which a 14 year old girl is systematically abused by her aunt, who also encourages the neighbor boys to join in. It gets really bad and I thought it might be a meaningful statement about mob mentality but no. She just gets tortured to death. Didn't finish.

^^still can't get over the mental block. One that's currently messing me up is cement girl. Its a Japanese film based on the real life month long torture of a 16 year old girl by four boys. Its just horrible because the true story is so much worse than the movies. This actually changed my mind about going to Japan alone. Expecially since all four offenders are out of jail with there names changed.

Is there anything involving babies/kids in this movie??

I can't watch it if there is. :(

Anything with kids...that's what disturbs me. I won't be able to sleep.

Blood, guts, gore, rape, torture...all on adults...I can handle, just not kids/babies.

I watched Human Centipede II last night - the main actor is awesome, I hope he does more horror movies. His face is perfect.

It was ok, I kept getting thrown because no one was rolling over or struggling through the duct tape and there were many scenes were the actor's faces werent in each other butts when they did wide angle shots. Which is stupid I was looking for that but it was a distraction. The guy with the beard was also great, lol at the car scene.

It didn't freak or gross me out though, but I liked it more than the first one.

This thread is one big endurance test, thanks guys

Funny Games with Michael Pitt, Naomi Watts and Tim (can't remember but he was in Pulp Fiction and the show Lie to Me). I haven't read this entire thread, but that was way disturbing. Kind of sad too.

A German filmmaker originally made this film in the 80's. The same guy remade it in 2007.

These are "disturbing" I guess: Hannibal, May, American Psycho

I found May really sad. Yeah she did some disturbing shit, but she just had no confidence and wanted love and acceptance.

American Psycho: disturbing yes, but highly entertaining.

Sometimes I love the fact that we have the death penalty in this country. It sickens me how many people witnessed/participated in this without reporting anything...
