Dumb question if the answer is what I think it is but: Where are you guys finding Human Centipede II?

They've been playing it in theatres, different dates for different cities, not sure if it's still playing. However, my boyfriend was out of town the 2 nights it played where I am and since I promised to wait for him to watch it together we downloaded a torrent and watched it on the computer. It's an easy find if you look for it.

^^^ Ahhhh, I'll try that. Thanks.
Dammit, I fucking HATE living in this tiny shit hole town. I feel so out of the loop.
In other news, I watched both Salo and Eraserhead a few days ago. Salo was...pretty lame. I watched it in the original Italian. I don't know how much that effected what I took away from it since all the subtitles were borderline "Elizabethan", but oh well.
Eraserhead would have been a bigger mind-fuck if it weren't for my husband hovering around and MST3K-ing the whole thing. But I don't think I like David Lynch much either. I don't like researching movies in order to figure out wtf they mean and trust me, I'm not one of those people who needs messages spoon-fed to her.

The evening news is pretty disturbing lately. The deficit is up 41% since Obama took over? We can kiss our social security goodbye.
I have no interest in A Serbian Film after reading about it. Going to follow the advice of the reviewer. :-)

Pan's Labyrinth is my all time favorite movie. It hits home for me.
I read about the 'A Serbian Film' and I will pass on watching that.
The human centipede disturbed me, and I can safely say it is the only movie I have ever watched that I felt... sick and disgusting after watching it. I love horror/scary/gory movies but... for some reason it was just to much.

The most disturbing movie I've ever seen in my life is Seed. My ex had me watch it with him, and I'm mad I did. Like, I wanted to cry I was so disturbed. And I actually like scary/horror movies. Have any of you seen this movie? If not, I highly recommend you DON'T watch it unless you can handle extremely disturbing and very realistic movies.

I watch movies like Tangled with my wife. BTW, I loved it. I was not even aware that some of the movies mentioned in here actually existed. Very disturbing indeed.

I just did too. How the fuck are these guys not in prison? I'm probably never going to Japan after reading it.
Because they were minors when it happened, there parents should be in prison too because they cane over plenty of times. The girl even called the cops twice.

I need to watch a bunch of these listed. It's hard for me to find stuff that really tweaks my brain any more.
I just finished watching The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (original Swedish version) and that was really dark. Lots and lots of rape, abuse, etc.
Antichrist violated my brain, in the bad way. After I finished watching it I seriously wondered if it were possible to get PTSD from a movie. The last few minutes are like a graphic car wreck you can't look away from. I didn't even enjoy it after an hour or so, but I felt compelled, as a badge of honor, to finish it. When it was over I felt I had lost all hope and faith in humanity, that I wished others harm, and that I didn't care about anything or anyone.
Insomnia haunted my brain for days.
Eyes Wide Shut really freaked the hell out of me when I first saw it, at age 15. Not sure what I'd think of it now.
Hard Candy is pretty harrowing at points.
Orphan was scary as shit. The little girl should have gotten an Oscar, and up until the last 15 minutes the writing was superb and terrifying.
I think the American version of The Ring is one of the best thrillers I've seen, as well as being dark as hell and having some visuals that kept me awake at night for literally YEARS after I saw it.
Shutter Island has such incredibly disturbing visuals (dead children, etc) that I have to look away from the screen when I watch it.
Winter's Bone, again, for disturbing visuals.
No Country For Old Men is probably the single most depressing film I've ever seen.
127 Hours, plenty of "OH GOD WHY" moments there.
Breaking Dawn was disturbingly bad. Does that count?

^ I thought the girl with dragon tattoo was boring as hell as well as atichrist. The only disturbing part of antichrist is like the last 30 minutes of the movie and tame in comparison to other films I've seen. Goes to show everybody's level of what they view as disturbing is completely different.

Biutiful (yes, that's how it is spelled) is a really disturbing film. The end was really cool, though.
I'm not sure if i posted this before but i watched Deadgirl and highly regret it. It's about zombie rape.

Yes, Lilya 4 ever & A Hole in My Heart are 2 of the best films you will ever see, very important work.
I know they're sad but I think they're very well done and special films.
Asking the temporary roommate to find and download this tonight. Thanks.
Well don't say i didn't warn you.

I dont know if this movie was mentioned in the 10 pages here...but Megan is Missing still haunts me on so many levels.
Ive seen all sorts of flicks, from gore to phych thrillers to japanese horror...Ive had my share of nightmares (and yet I keep coming back for more lol!)
But Megan is Missing...it took me *months* to get the imagery of that movie out of my head. Right after I saw that, kiddo did some silly thing that I ordinarily wouldnt bat a lash at...I grounded her from the computer and wouldnt let her leave the house except to go to school. And I was very nervous about that, and woudlnt let her go to the park after school for a long while. Plus I kept hounding her about the dangers of online, even though I have full access to her accounts and email, I was constantly checking my router to see her browsing history and such. I had to force myself to let go and stop being paranoid, but a movie has never...ever affected me like that before. I saw it almost a year ago, and just thinking about it now has me freaked out all over again.
Ill be old and senile and still having nightmares about the barrel scene.

Likewise, I don't know if they were included in the preceding 10 pages, but three movies I found especially disturbing would be "Seven" , "8MM", and most recently, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo", primarily because of the abuse endured by the Rooney Mara character at times in the movie.

Just watched this one.
It didn't bother me as much as I thought it would.
Probably because everything seems so tame to me compared to "A Serbian Film". (nothing, in my opinion, is worse than THAT movie!) lol
I did watch it with my mother-in-law though, and she said she's still thinking about this film (Megan is Missing). So I know that it definitely has impact. Just didn't impact me like I was expecting it to.
Think I gotta check that zombie rape one out next....

The last 20 minutes are when all the action happens.
Then there's 2 certain scenes are are kinda bad (at the end)...then a guy digs a hole for like 15 minutes lol
Other than that, it was pretty slow for me.

I think it scares me so much because as a mom, its my worst fear in the world...nothing to me would be more horrific than something like that happening to my daughter. The way that it isnt fast action paced and filled with one twist and turn to remind you its just a movie is what does it, it was totally believable as something that could really happen, a little too realistic and more like real life. The mommie in me was emotionally drained after watching this.
That there really are people like this, and things like this really do happen is what makes it so disturbing to me. I would have been more "entertained" if it was more like a regular scary movie.

That wasn't nearly as bad as "An American Crime".

Salo, Cannibal Holocaust, Audition, etc have there moments but A Serbian Film probably takes the cake. For a shock film the cinematography and acting is quite good unlike most of the genre. The concepts are way out there and you're suppose to find the meaning of the film under all the shock but reality is, most aren't making passed the infant scene. With good reason. Still no where near what the internet provides though.

I was bawling for the next 2 days after watching it. It was so sad, and the worst part is, it's based on a true story.

I've heard this version is more true to the real story. I don't think I'll watch it because I'm a baby.

Just finished watching Silenced.
About a school for deaf/disabled children who were being abused and molested.
Sad because it was true and the molestation scenes were a little too graphic for me. :*(
and just knowing that people with money and power can get away with this type of shit...disgusting.

O, cripes I could NEVER watch that..I would want to kill somebody. I'm waay too wimpy for some of the stuff mentioned..me who used to read true graphic crime stories..I used to be a court document proofreader, & got an interest in it from that, kind sick huh.
I thought the move Frances was highly disturbing, I kinda wish I hadn't seen it..also 'Karla' true story about a serial killer couple/rapist male.
Not a movie, but this (http://www.crossedcomic.com/) webcomic is one of the most disturbing things i've ever read. Had to download the print versions too though, dunno why they just gimme nightmares.

Watched a film called "Happiness" today based on a recommendation and that was only slightly disconcerting. The trailer doesn't cover what the darkest part of the film is supposed to be and makes it look like an offbeat quirky comedy (like most 90's trailers were cut). So I suppose if you go in with only that to base your perception off of, it can definitely jar you.
