View Full Version : How often do you give customers a deal?

not to be rude, but this line is over used. EVERYONE has to pay bills. not just strippers.
if you are so strapped with paying your bills that you cannot afford a full priced lapdance, then you should probably stay home. :(

See i dont understand why if a guy is willing to pay 15$ a dance he wont pay 20$. its only 5$ more. In my opinion, a simple matter of giving puppy dog eyes, raising the pitch in your voice, pouting a little, and saying "come on, its only 5$ more. for meeeeee????" while rubbing your breasts to bump it to a full priced dance.
I used to work in a club where one song was £5 and guys would still ask for a discount. If the price is $30 they'd happily pay $25, if it's $20 they whinge and say they want it for $15. I've seen this at every club I've worked at, it's not about the cost, it's about getting it for less than the cost.

^i have noticed a lot of hispanics do this. one of the number one rules of selling to mexicans is to first pitch a price 5$ higher, they will want to haggle, then you offer them standard price as a "special deal".
if you are in an area where customers want to haggle start with a higher price. if they dont haggle- more money for you. if htey do then you have wiggle room to make what you should.

I think we should be able to charge whatever we want. I dont care how much the custy whines I will stick to what I ask for. He can always watch skinimax and get his rocks off!
So I assume you wouldn't have a problem with be undercut then?
The clubs set the prices for a reason.

I never give deals. the fee structure at my club simply doesn't make it feasible. The club takes 10 from every 30 dollar dance...so if I did something like a 2 for 1 I would have to pay the club 20 and only keep 10!
however when I worked at a club where the dances were 30 and you kept everything and were allowed to offer deals if you wanted, I would sometimes offer 4 for 100, which was worth it.

I set my own rules. I dont care what the club says. If I can get them to pay what I want and the club still gets their fee from me so be it.
I give a great show and I should be paid for it. If you dont want a great show there are like 90 girls who suck where I work and you can pay the minimum but its like getting performance from a min wage worker when you want a top closer or exec working for you.

Most girls unfortunately aren't the superstrippers kind that we find here on SW Sorry but some of the replies on here are so belittling! Not all of us are making 1K a night and can afford to go home with $0. If you were consistently not making money for 2 weeks and didn't have the option of relocating etc... then maybe just maybe you would give in and do a $20 dance for $15 or do 2 dances for $35 instead of $40, just so that your whole 8 hour shift didn't seem THAT much less disappointing. I just can't believe that alot of girls would rather not make anything than swallow their pride (egos) and sell their holy grail of a dance for a few bucks less ON A DEAD NIGHT.
I don't mean this in a rude way... and it's not specifically directed at you... but I don't understand why girls are still dancing if they aren't making good money.
If my options were to do discounted lapdances or make no money... I wouldn't be a stripper.
In LA... I couldn't regularly pull 1k a night like I was before I moved here... so I quit. I'm not getting naked for a living while only making $400-500 the average day... and debating doing discounted dances just to NOT LEAVE WITH NOTHING the rest of the time.
also the mentality of doing the same for less is very similar to the extras mentality of doing more for the same price.

Unfortunately right now there aren't many options for me. I can't just quit with nothing to fall back on. There aren't any jobs hiring! I have even tried applying places with no avail. I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation either.
However, like I said a few posts back... I didn't even think of doing discounted dances when it was beyond slow or dead. I would just go home with nothing or even owing the club money. I am honestly considering giving deals though because winter is here and it's going to be a bad one, I can tell. Most girls when it is dead, go and cry in the dressing room anyways, so I don't see anything wrong with taking advantage of the guys they aren't bothering with anyways.

^^maybe to make everything fair, you should ask management to run 2 for 1 specials on slow days? 2 for 1s are shitty, but if it is slow they do sometimes kick the customers into gear.

If girls aren't happy making 400-500 a night...maybe you should stop complaining and be happy you make that. Some people work THEIR ASS OFF in a real job and they make 400-500 a WEEK!!! I don't wanna be rude but strippers sometimes bitch too much about money. There are people out there working 12-16 hours a day making nothing more than minimum wage, and you're gonna sit here and say that 500 per night isn't enough, what a shame. just my 2 cents.

Ask Avery, this club doesn't do anything to make the girls money :( No advertising, no specials, nada.. I stay because I do have regulars, it's a VERY clean club, you're looked out for, and it's 10mins from my home.. It's not always bad.. but there are times when you can count on making $500 or less a week :/
I'm not asking for pity either.. I'm sure I could go flip burgers at McDonald's.

Yes. I am going to sit here and say that 500 a night is not enough to do that.
What's a shame is that you think I should be greatful to make mediocre money because some loser with a minimum wage job can't make as much as me.

LOL. Is this post even serious?
I never bashed you. LEARN TO READ.
Minimum wage jobs are designed for MORONS. They're set up so you can learn to do them in an hour or two.
I'd say that learning to sell yourself to people well enough that you can complain that $500 is a bad day... probably requires a hell of a lot more skill and hard work.

First, if you knew what you were talking about you'd realize that $400-500 per night is far from universal.
But even if every dancer DID make that kind of money consistently, why would you begrudge them that? The girls that make that kind of money often have to work their asses off for it. Unless, of course, you believe that the money simply comes flying out of the guys' pockets when they bat their eyelashes. ::)
Many dancers also make a lot of sacrifices in terms of lifestyle (including love lives), endure psychic damage from dealing with perverts and assholes (which sometimes includes club management), generally need to deal with people and conditions that are far from ideal and otherwise have to cope with things that we would find difficult at best. They also have a limited lifespan in this business and often forego other opportunities to do this, so why should they not be able to make money while they can?
This IS a real job and, IMHO, the money they make can best be described as hazardous duty pay.

Hah! Walk into a room full of total strangers some night and take all of your clothes off in front of them...S-L-O-W-L-Y...like you actually enjoy doing it. Next, dance around in front of them and try to be sexy and confident while your ass is cold, some perv is telling you to suck his dick and another ass hole is calling you fat.
OK, now try to sell a private dance. Be prepared to have a strangers hands all over you-regardless of whether it's against the rules or not, regardless of whether you allow it or not. If you are lucky the stranger took a shower and put on clean clothes before coming to the club. If you are unlucky the stranger has been working pumping septic tanks all day and wears the same cloths to work all week before coming to the strip club on Friday afternoon. Oh, did I mention that the smelly stranger will try to stick his finger in your ass when you turn around?
Dude, you don't have a f'n clue what is involved in earning a living as a dancer. Don't judge.

Pootcacti's comment was quite dumbass...
That said I rank DesuvsDeaths two comments that included "designed for morons" and "because some loser" at about the same level... Those are equally unintelligent and rude.
I worked some hardass minimum wage jobs back when I was getting an education, and I was neither a loser nor a moron. None of them were learned in an "hour or two".
And I'm gonna get shot for saying this BUT... don't even fucking try and pretend you have to be a Rocket Scientist to dance. Sure it's a hard fucking job, but genius is not required.

Once again Einstein you are missing the point, No one here is asking you to feel sorry for dancers. This was a discussion about how dancers conduct their business-and it is a business-until you came along and started spewing hate.
What on earth are you even doing here? Clearly you harbor anger and jealousy for the vast majority of the members on this board-that would be the dancers, in case you are too stupid to realize that you are posting this crap on a dancer support site.

Rude, sure. But unintelligent? Minimum wage jobs ARE designed for morons. Literally JUST ABOUT ANYONE can do them. That isn't to say that every single person who works them is a moron... just that you could be a moron and still, quite easily, get a minimum wage job.
And I didn't mean to imply that someone was a loser because they worked minimum wage. What I meant was that someone who works 12-16 hours a day at a minimum wage job is a loser if they think that I should feel bad for making more money doing a more difficult job.
awww...lets all feel sorry for strippers....they make only 1k a night...cry me a river guys...girls should start working REAL fucking jobs instead of bitching. Fucking bitches.
Actually... I'd say most strippers I've encountered make more like $100 a night.
And I'm not bitching. The bad money for me in LA, $500 a night, wasn't enough money for me... so now I DO work a real job. LOL Also - I don't want anyone to feel bad for me. I never said that. But please continue to spout nonsense.

The min wage jobs I've worked were no harder than stripping. Working retail in the Gap, being a part-time tech support kid at the university....easy-peasy.The hours and pay sucked, and it was redundant and laborious, but it didn't require training, practice, special diets, buying expensive outfits, or putting myself on the line to make money. Sometimes stripping WAS easy money, don't get me wrong.
That's sales. The 80/20 rule applies often. Often the best spenders are the easiest to sell and deal with. I'm in sales now. For instance, yesterday I made the equivalent of a good night as a stripper. The custy was super easy to sell. Had one conversation with him last week, closed the deal exactly when he said he was ready to close the deal. Other days, I have yahoo's negotiating me down into a puddle of tears (after the fact, not in front of them).
That's the high stress of sales, with the rewards it reaps. Its really apples: oranges from most minimum wage jobs.

Yeah, the owner isn't helpful at all there. She really doesn't seem to give a shit about the girls.
I heard last Winter she wouldn't even pay to fix the heat!
I did great when I first started there, then it just died. I couldn't do it anymore.
I admire you for sticking it out.

Ive actually had dancers accept less before, or bascially tell me a certain amount less than the price was Ok, i never understand why they did that though i would have paid in full and tipped, i was just counting slow because i was drunk lol... like id get $200 in dances and give them $165 and say how much is that.. and they would say $165 is ok and id walk out since i was drunk i fugured shit ok watever lol..then eventually id sober up and realize they had done that, i would be sure to remember next time to tip them really good though, i dont understand why they cant ask for the full amount though or wait for me to count
maybe they like me (hahaha!) yea right
i guess its just one of lifes mysteries.. unless a dancer can answer that question for me
