I would love to, but that would dissappoint all the Houston dancers and make them jealous. :D

No loss to me and no new expectations.

In my opinion once you start even just giving hj's or bj's or whatever for money than youre a hooker! And hookers should go to jail. If you want to be a legal hooker come to Nevada and work for sheri's or the bunnyranch.

Heck, why not just line them up for the firing squad? ::)

You know, in China they bill the family for the cost of the bullet. Seems appropriate here, no? ;)

If prostitution was de-regulated, there could be strip clubs and sex clubs. That's the way it is in Australia. Guys will still ask for sex from strippers in the club though, that's not going away. Custies who see a woman nude, flirting, and grinding lasciviously will want to have sex with her. That's nature.

Although prostitution is illegal most places, its not tough to find an escort. Men will still go to the clubs looking for it. Its up to the club leadership to stop it, and they don't give a fuck.

So, ladies, hate on extras girls all you want, they aren't going anywhere as the laws aren't changing and strip club owners/managers are going to evolve into some kind and gentle souls.

The average girl on the street may look down on all exotic dancers as "whores", but they may be totally lascivious and have many partners and may be "compensated" in some way for it. And the no-contact dancer, who may do the same thing as the aforementioned, looks down on the "extras girl" as a whore. And the extras girl looks down on the dancer doing the same thing, but is hooked on crack and calls her a "crack whore". And the "crack whore" dancer looks down on the outside agency prostitute and calls her a whore, not thinking she is one. And the agency prostitute looks down on the street whore with disgust, and...

Now I realize that in the club, it cuts into a girls money, which is one subject. But if you are being compensated in any way, just call it prostitution. If it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, it must be a duck. But then, so what, it's a choice.

A guy in strip club offers a girl $200 for some sex and the girl looks at him angrily and says "What do you think I'm a whore?!!!"

The guy pulls out his wallet and says I've got $10,000,00 in my bank account and shows her the receipt from his ATM card and asks, would that be enough?

She looks at him wide-eyed and says "Well...."

He replies, "then you are a whore, we're just discussing price".

Or, to paraphrase Churchill, "Now we know what you are, we just have to find your price."

This is where I tilt my head and quietly think out a plan to kidnap and kill... I mean no one would miss a man trying to solicit with 100k in the bank.. *looks around* ... would they....

When you think about it, it's basically just a really advanced...and... progressive hustle technique. Right? }:D

Ehh, those girls are deluding themselves and probably have much bigger issues than simply being in denial about their profession. I don't have any problem with prostitution (although I *do* have a problem with it in the stripclub but that's a whole other discussion), but if the people engaging in it can't even admit that's what they're doing, I'm thinking they desperately need to spend some quality time on the shrink's couch.

(By the way, in response to Athena's post, one of the weird things about this is that it's entirely possible that the extras girls have a more nuanced effect on other strippers' income. On the one hand, it is clearly true that if you are dancing in a club full of extras, it's harder to make money doing traditional lap and stage dances. On the other hand, the reputation of a club as providing extras may increase business as well and bring more people into the club. If the club were to throw out all the extras girls, I am not sure whether the other strippers' incomes would go up or down in the short term. Similarly, if my proposal of making some form of high-end prostitution legal were passed, it might very well draw a lot of customers who were looking for extras out of the strip clubs and into the brothels, reducing strippers' income. I don't know.

That said, your other point about extras girls (that because of them you get a bunch of very horny, grabby, quasi-rapist type guys in the lap dance room) seems completely valid.)

Having a club full of extras girls caters to the lowest common denominator and actually drives demand and income DOWN. Girls get more and more competitive. Customers expect more and more for less and less. It is definitely not good for business, at least not for the girls.

It may be good for the club's business for a while, bringing in horny guys who pay cover and buy some drinks, but even that goes downhill as the guys seeking those services often tend to be interested in maximizing their "play" money which means the club sells fewer drinks to them. In response, clubs increase housefees and private dance cuts, which cuts into the girls' money more. Girls get more desperate to maintain income, and everything cycles down again.

I've worked in clubs where extras were rampant and it was extremely difficult to make any decent money. I saw girls crying in the dressing room nightly because they hadn't even made enough to cover fees and pay for tomorrow's food/gas/parking. Girls were more drunk/high than other clubs also, even in juice bars. They just brought their own and hid it in the dressing room.

I am a serious hustler and always managed to make money, but it was very very hard work and a constant fight to keep guys' hands and mouths out of places they didn't belong. Not a pleasant environment at all.

I think this would work except there is an immense social stigma attached to the term "prostitute". That's why so many people in the "sex industry" (broadly defined) distance themselves from it as you describe. And as long as that stigma persists, it's probably better to let everyone NOT call themselves prostitutes. That's certainly what feminists who work on sex work issues advocate.

Absolutely true. The fact is most dancers who offer extras, either ITC or OTC, are mining a niche of customers who are willing to pay for sex but would never call an escort or visit a brothel. For many reasons that have been talked about here getting a stripper to give it up is their preference.

i think the main reason they don't consider themselves prostitutes is because they don't understand that stripping isn't supposed to include fucking, bjs, or hjs. we're stereotyped as prostitutes. a lot of girls get into the business not knowing better, so they do it.

This is very true. There is a huge influx of new dancers right now who really have no fucking clue what's allowed/not allowed, and think that stripping is just like it is in the movies. Not to mention management does a very poor job of training and explaining the rules to newbies.
