protein powder/6-8 oz. lowfat milk/greek yogurt/banana blended with whatever fresh and frozen fruit I have on hand.

And leftovers. I make soup frequently so a bowl of hot soup after work hits the spot.

If I'm really hungry I'll make a fried egg sandwhich, or a quesadilla.

Denny's, Ihop, Mickey D's, Dunken Donuts whatever is open at 6 am with OJ & warm food heavy with calories to soak up all the alcohol ;) besides I can't sleep hungry & breakfast is 1 of my favorite dinner meals.

Soups, salad, or a glass or milk.
I like it light. But sometimes when I crave something sweet I go for a piece of banana cake or granola bar.

Do you guys eat before bed when you finish work? I've heard its bad to do that, but I can't help it.

I live/work in a small town and there's no fast food places open past 1am, but the bakeries start cooking up fresh quiches and pastries at 5ish. I can easily spend €45 per month on quiche alone!!

If I dodge the bakeries I don't usually eat before bed, though I do remember my boyfriend bringing a baguette and bananas home from his work for me after I raved on about banana sandwiches. That was amazing post-work food!!!

I love eating after work, ANYTHING really because I love gaining weight! But I'm an organic eater so I would probably warm up some chicken and rice. I will def. indulge in fast food but usually end up not doing so because I feel sick when I wake up from "crap" in my system. Dancing kind of forces me to eat healthier so I can have more energy. And that general "feel good" when you exercise often. :P

I do the protein bar or shake at work. It keeps me energized throughout the shift. I also ALWAYS take green tea supplements before work (it works wonders on your energy/metabolism)

Now for the post work meal---Chicken/Tuna anything all protein and low carb.

Eating before bed isn't the best idea - but its pretty difficult to have "normal" or "recommended" eating or sleeping habits if you are (like me) working four nights a week till 2-3am, and getting up to work 4 days a week starting at 10am!! (my worst nights are when I'm in bed between three and four and awake again and eight thirty...ugh!) I tend to eat if I am hungry, and just be careful that I am eating healthily.

Sometimes I'll have dinner leftovers, or a piece of wheat-free toast with marmite (I am a marmite FIEND!) or some carrot sticks and dip...but my go to (if I'm not super hungry and just want a snack while I wind down) is seaweed! A store near me sells these little packs of dried seaweed - not fried, not heavily salted, so they are low fat, low sodium, and 30cal a pack...and they totally satisfy the urge for a bag of chips...crunchy, snacky salty goodness...YUM!!

^
I love seaweed and rice crackers w/ some roasted almonds thrown in!!Yummy

I need to eat while working, but if I have a 3 course meal, I'll be too lazy to work. So I haul all kinds of snacks w/ me: nuts, cheese, bananas, apples, carrot sticks, protein drinks, bottles of water or tea. My blood sugar drops quickly, so I need food around to sustain energy.

I don't like to stop anywhere after work as I'm not crazy about the neighborhood I work in. Otherwise, I would be all over Carl's Jr. or Jack ITB.

I'm actually trying to keep my weight up right now, but if I eat bad food, it will only go to my waist. I want the weight to be evenly distributed. (And yeah, I exercise to gain muscle). I eat before bed all the time and it hasn't affected my weight.

When dancing, I used to eat one meal a day. Nothing after work - straight to bed. Woke up starving, went out with my then-SO, and ate a massive lunch at around one. At about six, would eat a grapefruit and drink espresso to, er, flush the lunch out so as to have a flat stomach at work. Then I would get ready for work and eat nothing during the shift. Can't afford stomach bloat at work.

Watermelon, or some berries. Maybe an apple.

Occasionally, Denny's. I get an eggwhite veggie omelet.

Otherwise, nothing.

It is very rare for me to eat anything after work and at work too, I usually don't eat after 7 pm. There is this after-hours place that makes this awesome grilled chicken on a stick, literally almost every night after work I would go order some lol talk about addicted. After I gained almost 20 pounds I had to cut that out, luckily I've dropped most of that but no more chicken on a stick.

Eating after work would be bad...i'd find it'd stick to my gut and i'd wake up not looking as good. At least with my body, i'd end up gaining a little weight if I ate after work then slept right after. Though it's different for everyone (like if you do a lot of pole tricks or are moving a lot during your shift then the food might not afffect you that much)
If you're really hungry and cant sleep, then your sugar levels might be too low and that can keep you from falling asleep. I guess have a little something but try to make it be healthy.

Sometimes eating after work is an anxiety-related issue, or drinking can make you artificially hungry (your body doesn't need the food, but your mind is craving it).

Just try to eat something filling and healthy before work (if you're concerned by the weight gain from happening when you eat after work and fall asleep).

I am guilty of late night eating, but It's because I am so go go go all day long. During the day I am more of a snacker... at at night I enjoy eating. Whatever my body doesn't seem to mind, I am still fit.

^ I think some of it's probably emotional/comfort eating. Leaving work was always somewhat relieving for me...so when I got home, I always wanted something hot and comforting to confirm my having left the club.

Also, you don't have to worry about belly pooch-age right after work, so you can eat whatever you want. :) I know I'd always avoid eating right before work because I was afraid it'd make mah belly stick out.

^^^This! I eat, almost every time now...a taco salad from Del Taco with chicken or "steak" instead of the gross ground beef stuff. I throw away most of the taco shell...which takes it down to about 400-500 calories. Still a ton, but I don't get enough during the day, because I can't eat before or during work, so I tend to go 10-12 hours without anything but coffee/water.

My problem lately is when I wake up and on non-work days I am ravenous:'(. I dance on days I'm not at work, for practice...and I dance HARD at work...I'm used to eating 12-1400 calories per day...but lately MAN, I've been fuckin' hungry and it's freaking me out.

And, when I pull up to the window and that judgemental bitch is giving me a rude look as I glance up so innocently with my jeans and a hoodie with glamorous hair and make up with long ... fabulously obnoxious fake eyelashes .. and pay her with the dollar bills from my g-string... I love every second of it.. even though she probably spits in my food... it's okay.. I still devour that shit...

This is fucking awesome

I don't always eat healthy after work, but if I am trying to keep from being a fat bastard, I usually drink a couple glasses of water and eat a packet of low sugar instant oatmeal (ready in one minute, you cant beat that!) and it keeps me full until I wake up.
