Indeed I found my driver's license number leaked and it was directly related to this business as well, because My fake and real name was attached.. I think it was this site called leaked in or something... so many crazy things going on.. I mean I don't like to even tell anyone my entire fake name unless they know because it is associated to my real name for the whole world to see.....it sucks..

ummm ok so what do we do if we already gave our license and everything??? I never heard of this being an issue and now I am freaking out. Can I get a new license with a different ID number? I am moving in 2 months so having my physical address won't really matter but I am seriously worried. I really wish I could have known about this before I signed up on 3 sites with my license.

Would this count for modelcentro? I actually used a passport as it doesn't have my address on it, but obviously all the sites also ask for your real address when signing up. I'm registered with their affiliate programs and though no one has signed up yet that's a pretty scary thought!

I signed up on all the major sites with my driver's license. It was just easier to grab that outta my wallet and snap a picture. Oh well, now I know. :o(

I am not sure how many women here know not to give out their current driver's license for IDs purposes for 2257 compliance but I wanted to offer some advice.
Most cam sites require you to send a scan of your ID as proof of being 18 when you sign up. You guys often worry about your cam show content being put up on other sites and resold.
Well if you cam for a company that has affiliates your ID may also get passed around with the content. It is actually required by 18 USC 2257. Usually when a company licenses content to another site - they sell it and with it comes the all the model releases and the IDs. And some companies that have affiliates also provide the same information to them. Which means its possible that some random guy that signs up to promote your cam shows may be able to get a copy of your ID.
I strongly suggest that anyone working in the industry go and get a PO Box and use that as their address on a state issued Identification Card. I know this is allowed in California. As for other states I am not sure, but I would check with your state's DMV to see if you can use a PO Box on a state ID card. And NEVER give anyone your social security card as ID and NEVER EVER use a credit card as secondary ID. (yes I have seen 2257 docs with girls credit cards contained in them)
Stay safe and be smart.
I'm very new to this and I was approved by MFC.com but the second part of the application asks for social security number. What should I do?

You'll need to give it to them. It's safe and secure, it's just like any other job application/paper work. They need your SS# for taxes.

Is it safe to upload my DL with the address blacked out or should I just upload the entire thing as is? I don't live at that same address anymore but a very close relative still does.

As long as the date hasn't expired it should be okay. But if an address was required and you submitted the most recent and not what's on the id, then they may request additional documents.

Okay, I understand now. If there were to be a leak of some sort then I suppose all data is worth it to someone? I'm not trying to scare you but some of these scammers play the long game. It's an old address so it's not like they can show up at your house. As for safe, I'm not sure what you mean? Identity theft is always on the table when it comes to scammers.
I always use my passport instead of a drivers license, a PO box instead of my real address and a tax ein number instead of my social security no.

Okay, before I sign up for any more sites, I will get a PO Box. How do you get a tax pin number? Also, do I need and how do I get a VPN? Thanks so much for the help. I've now been online a week and I didn't know any of this. =D eeeee.
