I remember the Krazy Glue story and that is creepy. I've always been of the idea that it's better to leave a scumbag than cause damage.

I've gotten way better about my jealousy....now it's confined to occasional snide comments.

I'm not a jealous person and I've felt jealousy when I had a questionable status in the relationship. Basically, I was jealous of other women because I knew he didn't love me as much as I love him. It happened twice, from my recollection.

Jealousy is very real, raw emotion, I do not believe it has to be taught. Just MHO.

I don't know how I feel about how the entire topic has turned. While I want to hate on Rick for his ways because I was raised to think cheaters were bad people, I'm very much like him. I've used my extensive travels as opportunity for fun, fleeting dalliances. I felt no guilt.

Could I have gone without and stayed faithful? Sure. But studies show time and time again that we humans are a selfish lot.

Quit with the smugness. You have no high ground on which to stand, be it moral or intellectual, and it's getting annoying.

You'll live.

However, since we're sharing, I'm finding the whole Great White Communicator and Purveyor of Open Love act to be a little annoying too, which is probably why I went so far in this thread in the first place.

It's funny, I entered here with the intention of expounding on the sorry state of affairs in the 4 so-called "societies" that practice polyandry today. I was then going to launch into the realities of general polygamy now, including the small percentage of the world population that actually practices it and the lack of rights and abuses that women endure in the countries that still allow it. And finally I had every intention of taking another run at the interesting opinions that have been masquerading as facts in your posts (though I will admit that I did enjoy the "polyandry is the reason for DNA testing" comment).

But then it occurred to me - who cares? It doesn't have to be right - it just has to sound convincing to your particular targets. ;) Mix a heavy dose of MM with a generous pour of laid back open love acceptance, top it off with a bit of "the rest of the world understands us even if these Neanderthals don't" and you have all of the makings for GF #x. :D

Hey, I wish you nothing but endless success, but let's ease up on the "see how easy it is - just communicate" stuff. Your gig is far from the open love spin that you are giving it and I suspect that you are about as likely to jump into polyandry as I am, unless of course I'm wrong and the HIS and HIS towels are on order even as we speak. ;)

You are absolutely right that I am the last person who can claim any moral highground, but I am far from the only person who can say that around these parts. :)
