Speaking of which...
Charlie, and a Mod I'm hoping you know...What IS the official stance on posting about other forums? Linking to them for relevent posts? Advertising? Mentioning by name? Etc. IS there an official stance? Is it more just be polit and don;t overdo it? Or is there a real "spelled out" policy?
Just curious...and hoping it can be official and kept to across the board. Would be nice.

j) that constitutes or contains any form of advertising or solicitation if posted in areas of the Stripper Web sites which are not designated for such purposes; or emailed to Stripper Web users who have not indicated in writing that it is OK to contact them about other services, products or commercial interests;
k) that includes links to commercial services or web sites, except as allowed in "services";
I think it pretty much goes without saying , that actually pro-actively suggesting members move to another site in order to have an admin , doesn't do this place any favors! ( it's basically moving it's business somewhere else, and worse still ,using this place as a basis to discuss and sort it out , come on !!!! ) I would put money on the fact you deep down agree and wanted to defend someones good idea, that the bully ( which believe me I am not ) came along and had a dig at .... ! Maybe I'm wrong .
I think in my opinion - we should forget the idea of migrating girls from the 'other work ' section to another forum , and rather concentrate on getting Charlie and Arial modding this group . Arial - I think you would make a great job , I hope they consider your request .
I hope no one thinks I've been a bully about this !!! I was just saying what I thought , and I'm happy to see everyone still posting in this forum ! LOL
I guess because I run my own forums, when I saw the discussion I realised how much it would have infuriated me had it been in one of my own forum sections - That said , I am a GREEDY girl when it comes to business. (including my forums ) and anyone pilfering or attempting such antics gets banned banned banned , hehehe .
Best of luck everyone !!!!

We all know ToS does not always match the list of enforced rules... I don't think it's rude to ask or muse about it. While the other sections may be a business, the forum is totally human interest (no ads or anything!) So it's really just how the owner feels. I have no doubt everyone here would respect the wishes... so I just don't feel like it's a matter of theft.
My opinion, of course.

Ok, my last words on this subject as far as it goes...
j) that constitutes or contains any form of advertising or solicitation if posted in areas of the Stripper Web sites which are not designated for such purposes; or emailed to Stripper Web users who have not indicated in writing that it is OK to contact them about other services, products or commercial interests;
Advertising and solicitation are business terms, for profit terms, like for spam. Since this site is not a for a profit enterprise, Nor are ANY of the other forums mentioned, I don't see how this is relevant, CamWhore, Princess Jenny, and a few others who have posted commercial links in their sig ARE relevant here, and I personally don't have ANY problem with those un-onbtrusive "advertisements" so long as they are not PUSHY or burdensome to the board.
Also, I believe that Ambercutie's, cam-girl notes, and CGU (and hopefully the new forums coming along) have information that is EXTREMELY useful to the users here, and for it to be banned from being discussed, linked or recommended by virtue of it's being on another forum, is ridiculous and destroys the usefulness of this as a forum for disseminating information. If that IS the rules here, so be it, I will abide, but I do NOT agree with an INFORMATIONAL non-profit place censoring because of being similar. If your forums do that, then I will not be a member on them.
k) that includes links to commercial services or web sites, except as allowed in "services";
COMMERCIAL...meaning FOR PROFIT. I do not see an informational non-profit forum, with other non-profit forums being discussed as fitting either of these that you posted. In fact, if we JUST go by what you posted, then it's OK, since no-one I know (except the examples I posted up there) have posted ANY commercial services.
I think it pretty much goes without saying , that actually pro-actively suggesting members move to another site in order to have an admin , doesn't do this place any favors!
If this was done, I agree! I have not noticed this being done, and would appreciate if you quote the wording that so gave you the heebee jeebees. Shame on anyone who says people should leave here and stop posting here and move somewhere else and no longer post here! I NEVER saw that...where did that happen? That it was suggested to move and no longer come here? I thought specifically the person said that it was "an alternative" and nothing more...a place which offers something this one doesn't for CERTAIN TYPES of posts. I do not even see how THAT competes, since this place does not offer a private CamGirl Only forum.
I think that to call it business is incorrect, I do think that when discussing other venues of information for camgirls, one should be somewhat discrete and not SPAM it...I think that possibly, she was a little bit overzealous...nothing more. If I then made you feel attacked for your opinion, or as if I was stifling it, I apologize whole heartedly, but mine does differ considerably.
I think in my opinion - we should forget the idea of migrating girls from the 'other work ' section to another forum , and rather concentrate on getting Charlie and Arial modding this group . Arial - I think you would make a great job , I hope they consider your request .
Absolutely NO argument with more modding and more attention to this forum including Stickies and such. I mean we are still looking forward to 2010 in the notices up top. This shows a lack of physical presence of the owners and mods, and I hope that can be fixed, because this is an entireles wonderful place otherwise.
However, I do not think modding it will fix what it being discussed in this thread...see my next post for WHY...

PS. I have no problem with you. I think on this one, we just need to agree to disagree. Take a gander at CGU...there are ADS, posted by me, for THIS forum...more than ONE.

Ok so I'm stepping in here for a moment. I would like to say that I am GREATFUL to have CGU. Did Bamb steal "me" as traffic away from SW? Obviously not because I'm still here every single bloody day contributing to the SW community. But it IS nice to now have a place that goes really in depth an is ORGANIZED about camming. And not just a hodge podge of every single little piece of "Other Work" That people can think of. Escorting, phone sex, BDSM, vanilla work from home opportunities. In the Other Work section if it's in our heads we make a thread about it, the place is a MESS. A beautiful fantastic mess to be sure, like sorting through a brilliant second hand shop or going antiquing you get to dig around for the good stuff (the search button). But there are SO MANY CAMGIRLS not that we DO seem to be taking over the section. And it is really nice to have a place (CGU) where the information is more direct and organised. it doesnt meant that any of us have any intention of LEAVING SW (maybe some do I cant speak for EVERYONE, but I seriously doubt it).
Come on now, just because I love to eat at A&W doesn't mean I'm going to stop eating at TacoBell. This isnt an either or situation, we don't have to pick sides in the "Battle of the Forums." It just gives us a wider net to search for information that's ALL.

I think the point I am about to make deserves a thread of it's own. But I will start the discussion here and then stop the threadjack in its tracks by editting the link to the new thread in here. I only post the start here, because it is VERY related, but still not the topic being asked for.
Anyway...I have been thinking about it and I completely disagree with most of what this thread is about...I see alternatives, and a need for them, but not the way this entire thread has run or been presented, because at root, (I'm sorry for this, but I feel it is true) the entire concept is full of shit.
Why...well look at the name of this board. Seriously...look...does it say "Women Only" or "For Camgirls" ANYWHERE in the description? What makes you so high and mighty as to say Camming is other work, but owning a CAMSITE isn't other work in the Adult Industry? Escorting IS, but running a lame-ass studio isn't...ALL of these things ARE Other Work and fit this forum. Customers don't belong, by the description, and neither do "hackers"...but guess what? NONE of that is PROHIBITED from coming in here anyplace either. So they are also ALLOWED unless someone says otherwise.
So, that being said, I want THIS aspect of things to move to a different thread so it doesn't ruin and clutter this one. So please, post in the new thread if you wanna tell me why I am full of shit.
Thanks,
B
PS. When you make a camgirl ONLY forum, well, I'm an EX camgirl....not on cam anymore...will I be allowed?

Nothing makes me ''high and mighty''
I'm sorry that's what you think of me.... I thought in a previous post we had agreed to disagree - so I will shut up and hope you find it in your heart to do the same ;)

That post was NOT directed at YOU. I mean if you think that an Adult Entertainment Attorney doesn;t belong here in the Other Work section for adult workers, that he doesn't quality, then it is for you as WELL, but I didn;t write that for you....that was for EVERYONE who is saying this forum should be moderated or made cam-girls only or that men shouldn't be allowed or that cam site owners aren't welcome or ANY of that...you were not in my intent at ALL when I wrote the post you're responding to...Promise.

- Lol .... Funnily enough , every other 'attack/defense' statements from you , I have understood ! This one I didn't ! So I'm glad you cleared up the fact it wasn't directed directly at me !
I'm also relieved I didn't write a lengthy defense to said post ! That would have been embarrassing :-P
Missy .
( Thanks For Mail B , I appreciate it actually ! )
