At least as much as you would charge on a big box site I'd say. Most charge around $3 - $5 per minute.

Hello ladies,

I'm looking for a part time job besides my studies. I'm sick working my ass off 16/20 hours a week and earning no shit>:(
Soo I was reaching on the internet for a job what I can do besides my current job and earn some extra cash to pay for my school fees and driving lessons.

So I found alot of storries about girls camming to earn some extra cash. Some girls said they earn about $200 a night. Is this true? Even if you are just started.

I'm not ashamed of my body I got a nice face and I can dance to lol.:D

But there are some thing I am curious about.

How do you pay your taxes? I'm not a US citizen and I live in Europe

Are there sites where I can block my location?

I don't want to use my real names? Is it possible because of the taxes?

And background checks? In the future if I want to work at an company will they find out is was an cam site
Please help my out girls what are your experiences camming for the first time?

Xoxo

Lots of info that will answer these questions in the stickied posts at the top of the forum :) Also using the search on here, there are threads specific to risk about identity, taxes, first-time experiences, all of it.

Also - regarding income that will always vary a lot, especially when you are first starting out, there's no way to predict or guarantee how much you'd make.

I just want to take a minute and shoutout to all the lovely ladies who have helped me on this thread. I simply can't thank you ladies enough and I am very thankful that SW exists. I went from drunk in strip clubs making no $ to making decent on cam. I'm not where I want to be, but I've still got a long way to go and the tools here have been invaluable.

Again, thank you all. :)

Hey everyone, I've been checking forums on this site for a couple of days and I have to say I've never seen a group of women more tight than on this website. I love how you all give everyone tips and take care of each other and I would love to be part of that and have more people to talk to that can relate to what I do.

I'm new to the camming scene, I've done it before but never for money or ever considered it a job.

I googled "camgirls" for fun the other day and I was surprised to see how easy it was to become one. I quickly made my chaturbate account and started camming without knowing the age verification thing before and quickly got shut down, (lol)! But I had more than 4,000 viewers in 1 hour. And I got a lot of offers for private shows in exchange of tokens! I was so surprised how easy this all was.

However I got my age verification approved this morning on a new account and am planning on starting whenever I have some alone time. I really would love to have it as a full time job and be able to move out of my parents house next year and pay rent with this money.

BUT... I am a little scared. I have Mexico and the state of California blocked because I do not want to risk anyone seeing me, EVER. I live with my parents so I am scared that they will catch me doing this or find one of my dildos/vibrators when I actually purchase one (I assume I will be needing them!)

My questions are... Do I have a limit? What are yours? Do I charge for each thing I do? How do you hide it from your boyfriend/parents?

I'm not a big fan of inserting things into me so I'd rather not do that, but I think I HAVE to. Some tips would be great before I get started, I don't want to make any mistakes or be taken advantage of.

Thank you.

Have a read of the first page of this very thread, then as much more of it as you can. There is so much information about everything you asked. Welcome to camming and to stripperweb. I'm glad you found out you can do this for money :D

So I'm preparing to get back into camming and, a drink or two in, have been doing some "research" on the sites I'm planning to work at.

I've been checking out the rooms of models I consider attractive, reading their profiles, complimenting them, and tipping $5 worth before leaving. Sometimes it gets me a sexy flash! Always welcome lol.

ngl I am intimidated! I'm like how the hell am I gonna fare in a sea of goddesses I'm just...ME. Ugh...lol.

I want to become a cam girl but... I have no idea what I am doing.

I dont one know what to expect, how to 'sell' myself, what are the written and unwritten rules of cramming and just the basics. I've got a few questions I want answering and I've spent hours researching but I feel still completely clueless.

Is it important to have a niche - does it really help to include your interests/hobbies etc into your canning?
Do I have to carry out sexual acts? I'm not entirely comfortable at first about performing sexual acts - I would prefer to build my confidence up gradually - is this ok?
How do you come up with a name? As a British girl - I want a cute British name but I can't think of anything.

should I create a separate email and use this for sign ups etc?

What other things can you include to make money? I've heard some girls can sell pants, some sell their snapchat etc?

What other her tips would you have to help a completely naive girl out?

Read all of this thread (which a mod moved you to, since it's specifically for new cam girls). Also, check out this thread: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?169932-How-to-do-a-search-on-Stripperweb. Using the google method of searching is the way to go.
I'm 100% certain that there are threads on everything you asked.

Since it's a safety issue, I'll address your email question: Yes, get a separate email and use it for signing up for everything. Also, if you want social media accounts, never use your real ones. I'd even strongly suggest not using the same browsers for your cam stuff as you do for your "real life" internet stuff. There should be no crossover between your real email/social media/other contact info and the stuff you use for camming. The only exception is that the cam sites need your real name, address, and ID in order to keep legal records and pay you. Otherwise, you should behave (technology-wise) as though your real self and your cam persona are two different people.

Also (and this is just for fun) I'm not saying you should Americanize, but be aware that a lot of customers are Americans, and for us "pants"=trousers. We call underthings "panties" and usually understand the word "knickers." If you tell the average horny and potentially high/drunk American that your pants are on offer, he'll be very confused and wonder why on earth he'd want your trousers. If you call them "knickers," most Americans will understand what you mean and still think your Britishness is super cute/sexy.

Hello,
Firstly I am so pleased to discover this forum and be able to discuss camming with other ladies who do it.
I have never done this or anything similar before and I'm just wondering if you have any advice for getting over first time camming nerves?
I have registered with a site and as much as I feel like I'll surely get the hang of it once I actually go ahead and give it a go, I logged on today and someone wanted to private chat with me and I just felt panicked and too terrified to answer so I pretty much just froze up until the guy cancelled the request and then I logged out... lol.. I realize how totally ridiculous this sounds!! & I know I'll lose out on potential clients that way but I'm just worried about what to do in my first show and if I will come across as totally awkward and nervous. Any advice is greatly appreciated :-*

So many of us have felt this way too girl, you're not alone! :) Hell, I STILL get super nervous and filled with anxiety. You could literally see it on my face when I was camming which I'm sure affected my earnings. It gets better over time with enough hours online and figuring out what works for you. Sometimes I will read the threads on here to get motivated or lurk performers rooms to get pumped up. Just don't compare yourself to other models because that will make you feel worse. There are so many wonderful posts on here, read as much as you can! I would not recommend drinking or using other substances (MMJ doesn't really count though). Good luck!

Thank you Wonder_Bra! I actually just made myself stay online and did a few privates. Thankfully the guys were really nice and understanding so it wasn't as bad as I thought! I'm sure I still look a little awkward on cam but I'm hoping in time it'll get better in time.

I'm actually pretty irritated at myself though for not doing more research before signing up. I've started camming on adultwork via a modelling agency and I've realized that they are taking a huge cut of my earnings (for whatever reason I thought they were part of the same company) so I just come out with 40% of the rate. Ugh. Lesson learnt. Not sure if adultwork allow you to create a second profile.

I signed up for MFC and SM. I've wanted to do this for years but I'm just now at a point where I'm ready to try it--between feeling frustrated at my day job, not feeling like I can get ahead or like I'll ever have time for the things I love even as I slash more and more from my budget.

I'm kind of nervous about this coming up to haunt me down the road. My plan is to use heavy makeup, let my hair fall in front of my face, make sure my hair looks different than it normally does, talk differently than I normally do, never wear my glasses (or at least a different frame than what I wear in my day-to-day life...), dress very different than I normally do, try to keep my full face out of shots where there's nudity unless it's a private chat, just try to look unrecognizable.

Part of me just feels like I love jilling and flirting IRL, so why not get paid for what I enjoy doing, right?

^^ Welcome titsforpeace! I don't want to discourage you, and if you've been reading the forum, you've probably already seen this, but just in case...

You need to be aware that you are probably going to get recognized at some point if you cam. You need to go into this with the assumption that no matter what you do, it's going to happen sooner or later. I'm not sure it's even possible to 100% disguise yourself, but if you took all the possible "safety measures," you would be extremely unlikely to make much money in this industry.

For some people, getting outted is something pretty innocuous, like some guy they knew in high school recognizes them on cam. For other people, it might exclude them from future jobs or future romantic partners. Family and friends can find out and react very poorly. People can connect your cam persona with your real identity and try to blackmail you with that info. Recordings of your shows will end up online, and down the road, it's possible that your children come across them.

Everyone contemplating camming needs to decide if there are any "getting outted" scenarios that would be intolerable. If it could ruin your future, or you would rather die than have a certain person find out, you need to not cam. Taking measures to disguise yourself is a good idea, but it's not going to work 100% of the time, and you need to be able to accept the worse case scenario in that regard.

If you've thought it through and are still ok, then great! Welcome to camming!

Welcome MissMelanie! Studios are the worst! You need to check out this thread: https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?160099-How-to-sign-up-for-sites-directly-to-earn-more-(aka-avoid-studios)
There's a lot of knowledge in there, and if you can't find what you need, I'd advise posting the details of your situation in that thread. This community is very good about helping ladies get out of studios whenever possible.

I am so excited to start making some side cash (maybe more) doing what I love. Like seriously one of personal biggest fetishes is men who can't have me getting off on me. Right now I am in the research phase. Researching everything I need to do before I go live. Like what social media should I have preasence on? Right now I am currently online on FetLife as my persona and I do have quite the following there. In fact, it was one of my fans there who said he'd pay good money to watch me and started me researching this. Also as a domme, are there certain tools/ toys I should have on hand to begin my show? I intend to start on chaterbate based on reviews from several blogs they seem to best match my needs. MyFetishLive would if they had more traffic. Feel free to give me any random information you think I might need. Also please tell me why I should run for the hills, make me think. We all get excited and forget there are cons to everything.

Hello there Welcome to Stripperweb. Take some time out to read through this thread designed for new cammers as well as the other helpful threads posted up top in the stickie section. There's so much information here on this board and topics that have been discussed numerous times. It's all here. It helps to use google to do a proper search on the board. For example type in stripperweb + femdom , stripperweb + fetish camgirls, stripperweb +social media etc and then you'll get a list of threads to read up on. Good Luck with your research.

That's an excellent question. I too wonder the same thing quite often, especially with all of the griping concerning SM. My assessment is it may come down to personality type and the assumption that token sites are only great for a specific type of model. Also MFC can be very challenging for a brand new model and someone who may have attempted it but didnt do well the first time around. I would put myself in that category. I've had way more fun on token sites than I ever did on SM. SM bores the crap out of me so much that the last time I logged on I listened to podcast so I would have someone or something to talk to. That's how I got engagement going in my room. But I'm mostly an Indy cammer with skype shows and only log into camsites to get extra dough or to get my face out there more. It's a great way to get more exposure from guys who may have never heard of me before.

I also think I want to follow a similar model as you with skype as my main platform and the camsites as additional traffic/marketing sources. I'll be researching more about skype next. PS:I've been reading through some old threads and your posts are always helpful, thanks!

In addition to the stuff that PGD said, there's another camming forum that heavily caters to MFC and token site models. While both forums discuss all types of sites, I think models that like token sites tend to gravitate to the other forum, which makes this one feel more relevant to the private site models. Since SM is arguably the strongest private-based site, that's what gets discussed most heavily here.

In terms of which is better, the styles are very different. Some people love the idea of hanging out with a ton of people, doing a handful of vanilla shows, and cultivating a certain level of celebrity. They may not like the idea of being in an intimate setting with one or two people, or doing a lot of hardcore shows. Meanwhile other models feel like a room full of guys (most of whom aren't paying) is their worst nightmare, and would much rather do hardcore or fetish shows in a one-on-one type setting.

For the camgirls with solid personas and consistent branding: did you do any prototyping--trying out different kinds of styles/personas/branding--before settling on the one you have now? Did you start with a clear vision and went from there? Did you just naturally fall into it, and just run with it? Did you base it off how you act in "real life" or intentionally choose something opposite that?

I'm about to start camming, and have a decently clear vision of how I want to be seen, but I can't guarantee it will work as well as I'd like it to. But I don't know if flip flopping around in the beginning will hurt my customer base. As someone who's in this 75% for the money, I'm totally willing to play a more uncomfortable role if it sells better and draws in more customers. But I don't want to lose customers in the process of figuring out what that exactly is.

What are your thoughts? Anything you've found that worked especially well for you? Anything you'd recommend against doing?

naomi_doll

Most people I have noticed say your niche finds you. My brand is the girl I wish I was tbh, but I do plenty of shows that aren't "exactly" what my dream me would imagine doing in the beginning. And some of my most profitable work is stuff I would have never even thought of at first, but I relly enjoy now.

Honestly, the best brands we know change with the times while staying true to the vision. Don't do things you are uncomfortable with, because after a while you'll burn out. But do try a lot of things and see where the fit is. That worked best for me, and I'm still always trying new things. Good luck! :)

Hello girls and boys! My name is Lucy and first of all, I hope I am in the right thread here!

I am a new camgirl, after months of researching and reflecting on it, I have decided to give it a try! I have read many threads here on the forum which really gave me a sense of what a cam girl is, should do etc., so thank you!

So far I've been online for three days, I've created 2 accounts, one on Chaturbate and one on MFC. Honestly, I had really great hopes for Charturbate since it looks it has a lot more traffic than MFC, but I have been online for two hours and I only got like 6 viewers and 29tk!!! Mostly greys, or anonymous users, or scammers that put an image with " x has tipped you 50 tokens" what the heck?? So I switched it up on MFC and there is a huge difference, the most I had was 60 viewers at once, I have made 3000tk in two days, from sexy dancing, flashing boobs, booty, some spanks here and there. I have never flashed my pussy lol, but I was lucky that somebody really liked me and 1770tk came from him! I love talking and laughing, I've been told I have a great smile, I am enjoying myself very much, the problem I have is that the ones that care to join the conversation in the chat room never tip me, and I also have like 5-6 PM viewers at one given point what's the thing with that? I know there are premium users, does that mean they have crazy amount of tokens? They just .. sit there, some of them from the beginning of the broadcast until the end. And a time comes where is just kinda stops, I still have the viewers but nobody is talking, I tried to make up jokes likes "if you don't start talking, I will be forced to sing and that will be very bad for yours ears" and such .. oh and another thing, the last time I was flashing my boobs, someone told me I have "gorgeous saggy boobs" and that threw me off balance, I didn't knew what to do so I laughed and silenced him, was that the wrong way to do?
Gravity is a bitch indeed..
I think the way to go for me is to take privates, I've been asked about them and I turned them down like a fool, because I still had that image in my head of top girls on Chaturbate making 14.326tk from 43min of public broadcasting. The thing is, how does privates work? Do I see the other person cam and/or I can hear them? Should I send a PM first, asking them what exactly are they expecting?

Oh and one last thing, is the MFC cam score such a big thing?

I would really appreciate any help, thank you!

The thing is, how does privates work? Do I see the other person cam and/or I can hear them? Should I send a PM first, asking them what exactly are they expecting?

Oh and one last thing, is the MFC cam score such a big thing?

I would really appreciate any help, thank you!

Ban, kick or silence anyone that makes you feel uncomfortable. It's your chatroom. My tip is to do it exactly the way you did. Laugh and just do it. Try not to rage about it. Just move along like it didnt even happen.

Yes the MFC camscore is a pretty big deal. Here's a monster thread all about the MFC Camscore https://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?158580-MFC-MyFreeCams-Camscore-Tips-amp-Tricks

Hi Camgirls!
I just want to give a shoutout to my fellow scandinavians. I've figured that CAM4 has a good amount of Swedish/Norwegian/Danish/Finnish members who prefers watching girls from their own countries. I - as a Swede - have been experiencing a huge difference in tips and privates on there compared to MFC. Hope this information will help! I'm not sure of how CAM4 works for other countries, but as far as I've heard it's not very popular among US/UK cammers.

Yes. Being an American camgirl who started on Cam4, I can say that it's definitely a good starting point for any European camgirls.

Take advantage of your first week! Make sure to make those regulars stay after you're not a "new model" anymore, or else there will be a huge drop off on viewers and money for you. I made that mistake. I was too overwhelmed XD Now I have to slowly make regulars.

When someone takes you to private, your video will dissapear and it will tell you that you are in a private. As far as what to do, . . . WAIT for the guy to tell you to do something! Ask him questions and get him to direct your private show. :) Just don't get into all fours and start pounding yourself with the dildo!

Hey Ladies!

I'd appreciate any advice on my situation. It's a bit random, but any thoughts would be appreciated!

I'm in my mid twenties and up until 6 months ago, I was working in Marketing/PR and the role at the time was a contract position. When it ended, I decided I'd go freelance and set up my own company.
It has been super challenging but I've finally started winning big clients. The problem is that because I am new, I am still learning and I have to invest a lot of money back into my business, and it's also sporadic - last month I made quite a lot of money, this month I've had to pay out more than I've earned but I can see what steps I need to take to succeed and I'm optimistic.

In the midst of all this I broke up with my boyfriend and moved back in with my parents. Because of the risk of setting up my own business, I'm nervous to set out and get a new place of my own though I do have the money for a deposit and my first month's rent right now. Living rent free with my parents would be okay but I'm starting to get cabin fever working out of their spare room, and they can't really understand why I don't just go back to having a "secure" job so it's not the most pleasant environment.

That's when I got to thinking about camming. I experimented with it a bit a few months back and actually seemed to be doing okay. I made some decent money on Streammate and AW but I was probably only on cam a handful of times because that's when I had to leave my last apartment and move back to my parent's house. Obviously I can't really cam from here but if I knew I'd make an extra $1000 or even just $600-800 a month camming that would SERIOUSLY help with my financial problems, enable me to get an apartment of my own and that would be my rent covered.

Since I don't have a lot of camming experience, I'm wondering if it would be reckless of me to make that move on the assumption that I'd easily make that much money in a month's camming? If I'm committed to it and willing to stick to a schedule and be online for several hours every day?

Appreciate any insights/advice! xx

If you stay consistant and try to build up a routine then you will definitely bring in at least $1000 a month. And with a marketing background you could potentially make more because you have experience on how to promote yourself. I'm not sure I understand if you're saying you want to continue your freelance work while camming or do you plan on dropping that and building your cammodel business? I advise you to not quit your day job. Do both.

I'm sure it has been said many times before, but let me compile some valuable information *I* have found on SW about camming and just general things I have experienced in my short-time so far.
DISCLAIMER: I'm on MFC so some of what I say may be different for different sites, like non-token sites.
Guys are going to try and scam you, take advantage of you, and get free shit. Don't let them. BLOCK GUESTS- they are a miserable crowd.
Models can be hit or miss. You can learn a lot from the guys in your chat room, they are usually very helpful if you have questions (technical, how games work, etc).
DO YOUR RESEARCH. Every site you are on. Every time. Become a "basic" member or go premium (token sites, premies have tokens and can TIP, but basics can not).
Don't be rude, but don't let people push you around. Do not compromise yourself or what you feel comfortable doing, but if you wanna explore- go for it!
Be honest; guys love it, but do not reveal too much information about yourself- keep yourselves safe ladies!
Talk to other models WHENEVER you can! We all experience different things and can provide knowledge. If guys offer you advice when you are new, it is up to you to take it. I think it is valuable to listen to others; even if I gain one piece of information out of the convo, it was beneficial to me.
NEVER accept gift cards/gifts as payment. NEVER EVER. Guys will try to scam you, DO NOT LET THEM! They are GIFTS for a reason :)
Get to know a member before you let him help you out in your room for free chat. I have had a couple offers from guys who are literally just freeloaders. They don't want to tip or anything, they just want to boss you around and get a free show. In conjunction with that, make them tip you to become your friend!
That leads me to my next point, don't do anything someone requests for free! You are here to make $$money$$ so DO IT. No freebies. Guys will tell you that you need to do this or that to get a following when you are new, you will never be successful if you don't basically give a free show; DON'T. Fuck them.
Do not get bogged down by PM's! If they want to say hi, I will reply to them in open chat- encourage them to use the open chat! It gets more people excited about being in your room and wanting to be involved.
Mute basics! A lot of people mute premies, too. I had them muted, but I unmuted them and made more money. They are sometimes shy about asking for PVT/skype shows in open forum. Just keep the convo minimal with them in PM :)
Always get your tip before doing skype- if you wait until after, they will take their money and run. Remember your goal!

I think that is a pretty decent list, so far lol. Like I said, I'm still really new to camming and this is just what I have found on SW and experienced myself. If you have anything to add or ask, go for it :)

Hi guys. I am new here ad barely on my first steps to being a cam girl. Still reading up on all the mega useful resources here but I happened to read a mention of Peeks. It sounded promising and interesting so I looked it up but found very little info.

Peeks seems to have an 18+ feature. Does that mean Peeks can be used as a camming platform? Or is it mostly vanilal or semi vanilla?

Anyone here who uses Peeks, any tips for the rest of us on how to use it and make money off it?

I am confused because I did not find anything sexual. I did not even find interactive things. One video is just of a woman putting on make up. And no chats.
A lot of the content featured doesn't even seem to be live.

It was okay as a side egg but they owe me $. I requested payout on the 8th and it hasn't hit my bank yet. Usually payment gets deposited in my bank within 2 days. I don't know what's going on but they better pay me.

If I may ask, what did you do for your streams on peeks?

-Never use PayPal. If you set it up incorrectly, you're giving the guys your full name. No matter how you set it up, PayPal could find out, freeze your account, seize the money, and block you from ever having a PayPal account again. Guys can also easily get refunds that you cannot dispute, or even worse - they could reveal that the transaction is adult-related. Not worth the risk.

Okay so I've read a LOT of posts on here about not using PayPal. The consensus is using Payoneer... yet when I signed up today I saw in the Terms that you can't use it for adult entertainment!?! So technically couldn't they also freeze our accounts just like PayPal??

I'm seeing a lot of cam girls on different sites using PayPal gift, can PayPal still get after us for using that (I also don't think PayPal covers it with their guarantee like regular invoicing??).

So far most guys requesting private chatting (kik or snap or whatever) say they don't know what Payoneer is or don't have it. I don't know if that is just an excuse (Lordy I've heard a LOT the last couple days!!! seriously GUYS) or if it's just not that common? At this point I don't want to have my own website, although I'm not opposed to looking at that in the future. I've read so many posts and done so many searches on here... while I've read so much that is helpful, I also feel like my brain is turning to mush also from overload. So sorry if this is answered elsewhere :(

Paypal is a nono. No matter how many models you see using it, just know that they are gambling with their own business. Dont take the chance. As for payoneer, this is a service that you will need to sign up with through a business. A business like all major camsites, clipstore, affiliate programs. They've gone through a rebranfing in the last year and the new name is Firstchoice. When it was called Payoneer there was a private load feature that many cammers used but it was never 100% error proof. Not everyone was able yo use it for model to customer business purposes.

Firstchoice is basically a payroll service for people in the adult industry.

Take a look at INDIEBILL here (https://www.getindiebill.com/go?rcm=u6s8u5) if you want to be able to collect payments for content and shows.

Really because I just signed up with Payoneer this morning and made an account. When I was looking at how to "invoice" that is where I saw in the terms that they don't allow adult oriented transactions.

I will click on the Indiebill link and check what that is...
