I don't even use a purse anymore. I've forgotten mine in the LD room more times than I can count. but if I were gonna use one, it would be something nice looking.
I use a small Louis Vuitton purse

I always do best and feel most comfortable with an upscale look. Also, I am naturally a brunette, and guys love blondes. I have varied my highlights, and will never be able to go super light, but I always do best with heavily highlighted and lighter blonde hair, and get the most compliments with that look.

I carried a small fake Coach back in the day...
GOD I miss making enough stage money/money period to warrant carrying a purse. When I first moved where I am now I carried one still, and got all kinds of looks from dancers and custies. "What do you carry in there? TAMPONS? CONDOMS?" LOL

So I hit up my local Walmart last night...GOLD MINE. I bought a really pretty necklace/earring set for all of ten bucks. Bling bling! :)

^you rock that walmart bling! lol. I always laugh whenever a guy compliments me on my necklace. especially when they ask if the "diamonds" are real. I may be a stripper, but that doesn't mean I can afford a 100 carat diamond necklace.
and surprisingly the walmart one is the ONLY rhinestone necklace that hasn't turned my neck green. I bought one from one of those mall kiosks and it was 30 dollars and my neck was green the next day. not so classy.

I have several over the top rhinestone outfits and I am always wearing a rhinestone choker. I go for the more upscale look alternated w the dominatrix vinyl chains look. Most girls I work with rnt at all upscale and I could care less..I like my look and really am confident in it. YeY!! for platinum highlights, huge boobs, and light colored eyes!!

At the first club I worked at I tried a supershort cocktail dress once and after very negative/confused custy reactions I never tried again. Usually I prefer a lacy lingerie set. I have the classic bikini and skirt sets, but find that a lot of the older men prefer real lingerie. I just sew ribbon onto the backs or fronts of the bras so I can get them on and off easier. I don't care if it makes girls think I look like a noob, I still bank. I've been wanting to get some gowns but can never find one I like. I love my rhinestones and other jewelry though.

Personally, dressing in quality gear makes work easier. I've had spenders pick me to go to VIP bc they like what I had on. Didn't even have to work them. :)

The more amateur and 'girl next door' the better at my club!
This is sometimes a little disappointing because I've got some beautiful gowns and I love dressing up, but on the other hand it's good to know that occasionally having flat hair or unpainted fingernails won't hurt my earnings.
I still wear false lashes, proper shoes, nice outfits, etc, but it's more for my own sense of satisfaction than for the customers.
That's a shame. Must be a regional thing OR cheap ass dude intimidated you may make him go broke. LOL.
I once had an out of town(small town, forgot where too) dude reject me bc I looked too "classy" for his taste. His words. lol. ::)

^Ya it can intimidate some guys... but they tend to be the lower class guys anyway. Its not like that guy was about to whip $1K out of his pocket. He knew he couldnt afford you. LOL

I keep my outfits very simple and maybe even boring. This is my favorite look as a customer because it keeps the focus on the dancer's body.
Whenever I've done the upscale thing, it's generally turned off young men, groups, and perverts while attracting snobby, insufferable men who want to sit and disparage other strippers for being less intelligent or less classy. Rude and obnoxious. Putting up with these men is much more taxing than doing 20 dances in a row, so I'll only do it if I'm getting paid significantly more, and that's not always feasible in a club without a VIP. I would much rather be that girl they disparage and bank off everyone else!

it depends on what they are looking for. if they are looking for ridiculous party girl who is carefree then that could be one reason.
some guys like the classy extremely polished ladies who enjoy shopping, spas, and manicures. some like wild carefree party girls. when i try to do the upscale look it is so contrary to my personality that it ends up hurting my income. if i dress nicer than the other girls, the customers who pick me out because i am well dressed (as you mention def. happens) dont usually end up clicking with me personality wise so i dont usually bank off them. meanwhile, the customers who seek party girl with an iron maiden tattoo will not seek me out. and those who are open to both will get confused by the obvious contrast of look and personality.
so i think it really depends on finding a look that compliments your personality (or fantasy personality... my fantasy personality is pretty much my own personality except tweaked and sexualized a bit) and also understands the customers who come into the club. quality that attracts money comes in many forms.... not just having upscale attire.

^that's weird because I dress upscale, but I can act upscale and I can act like a party girl and bank off (mostly) everybody and if a dude isn't feeling me I just walk away :D
but if whatever you're doing lands you in the CR as often as it does, then go with it! ^_^

^ Haha. Maybe me too a little ? At work, I also did lingerie outfits mostly with bling and it felt the most " me ". I felt like it worked and set me apart a bit even in dives but I did have a few other items too that I could break out if those outfits didn't feel like they were working.

I have a nice fitted mid sleve dress that goes down to around my knees. It is black and I usually wear it with my black strap heels. I do OK.
What sells at my club is nearly nude-a thong and a bra will do you at my club.
